Having a big backlog of art to finish kept me busy. Sort of hopped between each one to alleviate burn out. 'River saves Star bad end' now has something more substantial in the 'sorrow' portion. Somewhat inspired by how resilient Mewmans/Star seem to be, and how human fragility may not be as apparent/obvious to them/her. Or just good old fashioned denial--either one works.

Hope I can contribute to happier things this weekend.

I don't see characters in the current cast being related to each other, because I think that if that were the case, it would've been more apparent in their eventual interactions.
…BUT I definitely think it would be neat, if some of them reveled to have bigger/smaller brothers/sisters and they came up in the series.

For example, I think it would be nice if Ferguson had older brothers and/or sisters, and Ferg's "on the nose" behaviour was kind of a response to them being much older and more serious of him.

I like this suggestion. Partly because it was what I was aiming for with the 'just a flesh wound right?" line and it seems like it could be a plausible reaction from Star if he wand wasn't an option. I tried to capture the feeling of how sometimes Star tends to talk over others when she's overly excited.

Hopefully the stronger emphasis on the denial gives more 'oomp' or "wham' to her eventually seeing "Sol's" face instead of Marco's.

Thank you, I hope the denial based adjustments didn't ruin that subtlety since we now have Star's rambling covering a lot of space now. The base show is pretty sparse with crying, so I went with that. Considering St.O's themes I thought it would've been more tragic if she was smacked with the reality that her best friend didn't pass on as himself.

I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad if Nefcy dispelled those names, some of them looked pretty interesting. Though Sink or Skate sounded like a do or die episode, and I'm not too hot on Marco's chances yet. Guy needs time to fish all that spaghetti out of his pockets. I'm hoping for more of a shift to confirmed character traits over what we can imagine to be the case. Too many of the characters are a complete mystery, we need closure damn it. I mean, we've been shown they can pull it off considering Miss Skullnick in IDFT. By giving her some focus for parts of the episode we learned a lot about her, and I at least was quite fond of her after that episode as her parts fed into the A plot seamlessly.

The only reason I dont feature her in my fan stuff is because I feel she DID get enough love from the series, so I focus on more overlooked characters.

Yeah when they introduced her I imagine most of us were thinking 'oh here we go, overly mean teacher character' and for that episode and those leading up to IDFT we were right. But instead of sticking with an easy trope the crew developed her as a character, in a clear and understandable way I might add. Even younger kids can likely empathise with being turned into some disgusting troll monster and how much it sucks to be old.

Now the question is, can they take the plunge and do this with other characters? Janna is the obvious choice, fans already like her and she's got a unique base to go off of, for a girl character that is.

Good to see that you try and disperse the characterisation love to other more needy characters, as you said they damn well need it. I think the style is pretty cute, and cute works with Star vs.The fact it can be identified is already a boon for it's quality.

Think Disney put them to work on that Lion Guard thing, from what I can remember the original animation team for Star vs. had to change to accommodate it.

No clue yet on how much of an effect it's likely to have, but I personally didn't notice too huge a difference in season 1, outside of a few poor quality moments littered about.

The use of analogies was on point, enjoyed the sword talk. Surprisingly my favourite part in your writing is the snippets of regular adventuring/monster fighting. I think out of the content creators here you have the cleanest interpretation of it which given the rest of the story is an amusing thought. I hope we actually get a similar form of the joke early on in chapter 2 with the guards.

We've been in hiatus since September. The only thing we know is that the next episode will be sometime from Spring to Summer this year, so that can easily range from March to August.

Hey don't sell yourself short, the quality of the writing is pretty damn good considering it's your first venture into the area. Especially given the notion that smut writing tends to be short snippets when tailored on fan content. That means there's not the time available for more standard characterisation processes in the stories, so all you can do is just skip it.

I certainly think there's good examples of more in character smut from some of the content creators here, Diaz's plan jumps out to me, and perhaps others on the booru. They seem to focus more on the discovery side of smut, given the age of the characters at this point, there's going to be a lot of fumbling.

Either way if it's good practice for you then all power to you, given that the general is getting more good fan content.

About Sugarcube I could find only these short videos https://vimeo.com/sugarcube/videos . They aren't horrible, but look "amateurish"...
Rough Draft Korea is a super veteran studio, and they apparently worked on the ball scene in BMB, so we can be slightly optimistic.

Toon City wasn't that bad (sometimes animations are even better than the Mercury's ones), but they were so inconsistent with the characters' designs, from episode to episode & even from scene to scene. Let's hope for a better job from these new studios.

Ya they're always so cheerful that it's heartbreaking just thinking about the potential grief. Thanks, I've always liked seeing concept art from things. Think all Manna fans have had to accept the reality of the situation. The only real hope lies in an open/bittersweet ending. Either way, cute moments would be above expectations, and hopefully fuel more fan stuff with her in. That's the real win condition, she's a real cutie along with Star. Bad end is her with Tom as you said, that'd kill me a little inside. Still, perhaps her popularity will skyrocket off of season 2, and if we're lucky or Disney is desperate we may get a couple more seasons afterwards for her to shine.

>Blue: Badboy!Marco punk with a heart of gold. Instead of causing second-hand embarrassment, it's his delinquent/jerky behavior that leads to him getting beat up/hurt.
>Green: Blarco? Instead of Choro's panicked reaction to everything goofy, Blarco just comments in his usual calm manner and blank stare.
>Purple: Sol, most distinctive of the Marco's visually. Is the most formal and competent, but pretty damn miserable on the inside. Butts heads with Badboy Marco often as he resents the other's freedom and improper ways. He's mostly put here just for that dynamic.
>Yellow: Monster Marco mostly since those floppy sleeves can be tentacles. I'm leaning towards that "MonStar au" design(pic related) since that thing comes off as mischievous. Or 'ugly cute'
>Pink: Princess/girl Marco based mostly on how effeminate Todo is, though I don't picture her being as mean/two-faced.

Nice get anon, but regarding the topic at hand; I'd say one of the most stand out moments, visually speaking, is the naked escape home from the picnic. There's a lot you could do with the whole journey, and it's easy to keep it safe to view if the artist so chooses.

Good idea: in fact, for the most part the characters cover themselves, and there can be used visual tricks (perspective, superposition, motion blur, etc.) to disguise nudity in the last part too.
So yeah: a SFW version would be more than feasible.
