One guy's been spouting this but never gives anything to back it up other than baseless speculation and that there are a few other people hired as writers/head writers. But given my experience in the industry"head writer" doesn't really mean much, could mean writing dialogue, could mean making sure the help text is understandable, could just mean that's the guy who runs the whole thing through spell checker.
Not to mention you pretty much never put the raw text from the guy who actually writes the story directly in the game, you gotta format it and split it up, it isn't atypical to have one guy writing the whole thing and a whole host of "writers" in the background actually inputting the text or just filling in details like signs the player can read or graffiti in the background
And the only thing Hussie's said about having other writers is that he's gonna get some other folks to write a good chunk of the thousands of lines of trollFacebook and trollTwitter the player can read if they want to waste their time on it

I think the reason for that is because of the spades part of their relationship, how they're pretty different so they end up arguing. I mean, Dave and Terezi weren't bad, but it was mostly just them agreeing on stuff, her telling him what to do, and Dave being Dave. Hell, it might've been not bad just because it was Dave and he could carry anything back then. But hey, at least John and Terezi are interacting now.

The whole comic is an allegory for puberty being the catalyst for the death of imagination. It'll end with all 4 kids back on their computers IMing each other with no destroyed earth and puppets and toys being crammed into cardboard boxes or he backs of closets.
