When it comes to anything /co/ what's the angriest you've ever been?
No it's tied between
>Fuck you, I hated it for stupid reasons
>Fuck you, I got legit reasons for not liking it
>Fuck you, I like it
With each one responding to the other with
>Fuck you fanboy
I typically don't get angry but if there was anything that legitimately pissed me off it was that Saturday CN suddenly pulled DC Nation from the schedule. Cancellations I can take but that was just a plain old dick move.
>Fuck you, I got legit reasons for not liking it
This is me probably. It was decent though.
The wedding at the end of TMNT 2003. Seriously why was Bishop watching, why was rat king watching, why was the dynamo watching.
While I am thinking about it the last season of TMNT 2003 had other moments too. Like why was Baxter working with Hun. Baxter hates Hun and last we saw of him he was working with Bishop and the government. The whole cyber world gimmick was used poorly and in the end did nothing. Robot butler wasn't funny nor was he useful.
My hatred of this will outlast the universe.
Whenever him and his faggot ass has an episode with one of his slit friends whom he should've boned with his bird cock by now, I go into full out rage mode. Now whenever I see a picture of him, I remember why I fucking hate this show now
Yes I mad
When I saw this.
>Flapjack cancelled because the staff wanted to split up and create Adventure Meme and Regular Shit
If this isn't your most rage inducing moment in modern cartoons, You've got brain problems.
This FUCKING episode made me drop what I once considered my favorite children's show.
Fucking Breezy man, it was literally aggravating on every single fucking front. It for a THIRD time pulled the "status quo is god" bullshit AT is notorious for, LSP literally raped the main character, and our once regarded pure hero goes on a makeout rampage, to get over how sad he was.
Like what were they thinking? You can't take a bombastic, fun, adventurous character like Finn and make him wholly depressed for a few episodes and have it solved because of some bullshit bringing his arm back to life. Like come on guys, no wonder Pen Ward dropped this sack of shit.
Fucking Breezy man, I hate this episode, and all of S5, with every fiber of my being. I literally dropped the show because of this shit, and refuse to watch it again.
>CC moving Moonbeam City to midnight just to play South Park twice in a row
Trey, Matt, you monopolizing pieces of shit
Subscribed to Excalibur back in the day because I really liked it. It was the first comic I showed interest in and my first subscription.
They suddenly ended the comic six issues later.
Watching Steven Universe.
Holy fuck,I ditched it INSTANTLY and went watching Kill La Kill then Wakfu.
It was way better than this abomination. Has CN gone to pneumo-cancerous shit? I thought they had better shows.
>this meme again
>this meme again
lebutthurt is showing anon.
>People from TTGL worked on it and it seems good so far
At least SU doesn't need fanservice every 30 seconds to get more than one season.
>At least SU doesn't need fanservice every 30 seconds to get more than one season.
TTGL pulled up some weird timeskip stuff, but as far as I know,KLK lasted only one season, because of the budget.
Still,I've also got to watch Wakfu as well after KLK. And since I may be away,it's just fine as I've got to download 'em all on my ol' Xbox.
(I use it as a media player most of the time and sometimes I play a game or two.)
Fanservice can piss me off sometimes to.
>Seeing the comic book industry crashing and burning while all the staff have to deny it vitriolically on social media
>Comic creators on social media in general, becoming the epitome of smug liberal douchebags
Almost 20 years ago and I'm still mad
Yeah the Finn shipping bullshit is what ruined this show.
It's sorta starting to crawl out of mediocrity with the newer episodes, but it's still not the same, and never will be.
Also I know a cunt in real life named Breezy which makes it all the worse.
off the top of my head, if we're talking about /co/ specifically I remember getting incredibly pissed towards an anon disparaging Robin Williams in one of the threads on here after he died, like literally trembling with rage, usually with /co/ related stuff I feel disappointment more than anger though
>PAD said that he would appreciate it if his characters from X-Factor Investigations would appear in Uncanny Avengers, get some recognition
>Remender fucked up Havok in UA
>Quicksilver had to be transferred there as well and that got ANXF canceled
Master Baas, I can't hold back any longer.
I was mad that season 2 sucked so hard
The writers of Wander over Yonder completely ruining Lord Dominator.
The first time we see her, she brings two brand new things to the table of the show; Lord Hater actually taking his position as "greatest villain in the galaxy" seriously and trying to take it back (instead of mindlessly goofing off/chasing wander), and Wander realizing that he may not be able to just pacify everyone he sees by being nice.
Plus, she looked cute.
Next time we see her, though, Wander sees her true identity and finds out she's a woman; no build-up, no dramatic reveal, he just walks by the window of her ship and sees it. Suddenly, he stops taking her seriously and is OBSESSED with shipping her with hater. Cut to the end of the episode, Lord Hater finds out she's a (pretty) girl, and INSTANTLY drops his massive grudge against her and does the stupid generic "DUHH PRETTY LADY" thing. So right away, Lord Dominator begins to make Hater and Wander become the most annoying characters on the show whenever she's around.
As for Lord Dominator herself, she's a textbook definition of Mary Sue. She's cocky and smug, she uses her looks for her own gain, her armor makes her virtually invincible, and she's so strong that she can destroy Lord Hater's ship by looking at it. Also she has a basically infinite army of unstoppable magma robot things.
The worst part is that she's cute, and I want her to be my waifu, but her personality is just a generic smug evil female villain.
tl;dr she's literally the worst character on the show.
Tell me one good thing about Lord Dominator that doesn't have to do with her appearance.
Cancellation of Green Lantern: The Animated Series.
Ultimate Universe was my first exposure to comics.
Imagine being raped in the ass with a thousand mustard-covered 10-inch kitchen knives, that's what I felt after reading this and Ultimates 3.
Very few individuals on Earth could comprehend how much I hate this episode.
Not even the entirety of Steven Universe could compare.
>At a cartoon directly.
Bendy in Foster's and that Hey Arnold episode with the pajamas. I know that they're almost cliche to bring up now but God damn.
>At something pertaining to a cartoon.
When horse show blew up and spammed pretty much every board on this site, not even trying to make the topic of the threads relate to those boards at all. Also the entire state of the Western animation industry from roughly 2007-2010.
The list could go on forever, but I'll only outline a few items:
1. Any time Nick, Disney, or any other channel fucks up releasing schedule, especially that of a somewhat good series, and we end up having to wait a few extra hours/days/weeks/months to get something
2. When Mystery Inc and Gravity Falls failed to grasp their potential, especially GF (because MI did better in most regards)
3. When Cartoon Network went full tumblr. This happened over a span of a few years, but OtGW ending was probably the final nail in the coffin
4. When Jewcas sold Star Wars to Disney. I know this isn't fully /co/, but it does concern /co/ material in a variety of ways
>aw shit the latest teen titans episode with Terra coming back, this should be interesting
>aw shit Young Justice just ended with Vandal Savage shaking hands with Darkseid, I can't wait to see how this turns out
>also gets cancelled
Well, it's actually a flaw but I like her for it.
She is a manchild. A goddam big kid who is so excited about crushing people for fun...it's funny. Also, she can be menancing and competent. And I was kinda longing for a villain that would just treat cartoony annoyance as she does Wander - ignoring him.
god damned Identity Crisis
read it when I was still geting into DC and I put aside all the inconsistencies beacuse the mistery of the unstopable murderer got me hooked, even got a little bit hyped towards the las two issues
and then that lame wet fart of a reveal and posibly the worst and most shity ending you could ever think off
fuck DC edgyness
To be honest, OP
I don't know why, but no sudden writer/artist changes, retcons, alteration to characters and stories truly upset me in any way.
I feel like I'm the only one, but whether or not something turns to shit - I not personally invested in anything I read or any characters I see, I just can't.
I KNOW that they're fiction, that they don't truly exist, so I can't truly care about them.
>Best Animated Feature
>Voter #1: If you can call anything a “snub,” this year, it was The Lego Movie, which was one of the best movies of the year. I don’t know what happened there, but it is inconceivable to me. Of the five they did nominate, my favorite is Big Hero 6, which was adorable and original.
>MY VOTE: Big Hero 6
>Voter #2: Where’s our Finding Nemo this year? It’s not a very great group. I liked Song [of the Sea] and The Tale [of the Princess Kaguya], but I’m voting for [How to Train Your] Dragon because it was superbly entertaining and works on most levels, although its story could be a little better.
>MY VOTE: How to Train Your Dragon 2
>Voter #3: I never got a chance to watch those screeners. There were so many films to watch and I just had to pick and choose.
>MY VOTE: I abstain.
>Voter #4: I loved Big Hero 6. Then I saw The Boxtrolls and I thought the animation was great — but the movie didn’t knock me out. I must admit that I have not seen How to Train Your Dragon 2. But I have seen Song of the Sea and The Tale of Princess Kaguya, both of which I loved very much — they were really unique. If I was just voting for animation, I’d have gone with Boxtrolls. But since you have to consider everything, I went with Big Hero 6.
>MY VOTE: Big Hero 6
probably anytime a show gets cancelled before they resolve the plotlines.
>Voter #5: I only watch the ones that my kid wants to see, so I didn’t see [The] Boxtrolls but I saw Big Hero 6 and I saw [How to Train Your] Dragon . We both connected to Big Hero 6 — I just found it to be more satisfying. The biggest snub for me was Chris Miller and Phil Lord not getting in for [The] Lego [Movie]. When a movie is that successful and culturally hits all the right chords and does that kind of box-office — for that movie not to be in over these two obscure freakin’ Chinese fuckin’ things that nobody ever freakin’ saw [an apparent reference to the Japanese film The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, as well as the Irish film Song of the Sea]? That is my biggest bitch. Most people didn’t even know what they were! How does that happen? That, to me, is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen.
>MY VOTE: Big Hero 6
>Voter #6: I saw all five. I like to sit down with [the young people in her family] and watch them. We all loved Big Hero 6 and there was no discussion, no argument, no nothing. The kids watched that one three times — what does that tell you?
>MY VOTE: Big Hero 6
>Voter #7: Frankly, I didn’t see any of them.
>MY VOTE: I abstain.
I'm still mad about GL:TAS getting canned.
I cancelled my subscription. That's how mad I was.
And yes, I am autistic, actually. So that was kind of a big deal for me.
Lurking, See this fucking image, Brings back the nightmares.
For me it's kinda both. First off they weren't really gay in the show, and Bryke seems to insist that they were. The fandom around it makes it even worse, when they praise it as the best thing ever or call it a perfect ending etc.
I wouldn't however have had a problem with a gay pairing. They should just have used gay characters to do it instead of turning those two gay for easy points with a loud part of the fandom.
After season 1, I dropped the show entirely
It doesn't hold a candle to A:TLA
Got a friend who keeps bugging me to watch it and thinks that the lesbian ending is the best thing ever because he hates shipping
I think it's less that and more that this aired after the episode where Brian basically told Meg to let herself be abused so the family could stay together. That and the episode itself was pretty shit
And fuck right off with the "we already had mechs" argument. At least those were structurally sound.
Also the hummingbird bots. FUCK
>Is Digimon /co/ or not?
Did that debate ever truly end? Because I can't find hide nor hair on it on /co/, /a/, or /vp/?
Except for one shitty thread comparing Veemon to Lucario
Majority of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friend episodes triggered the shit out of me but the worst of the mall had to have been the episode when Mac was trying to get everyone ready for that plane trip. I have never been so pissed off at a cartoon like thta in my life
Bloo was just an all around piece of shit for the show (which made me more angry because he was ok in the pilot)
Bendy episode was horrible and fuck Cheese, fuck every single episode that autistic piece of shit showed up.
Alternatively, retards claiming that the Joker is an anti-hero
Other than that, the mindless shitposting in the MoS threads still gets to me. But then, mindless shitposting in general is extremely irritating
I can forgive the shitty arcs
I can forgive the white box
I can even forgive the fact that the public perception of Deadpool is Waypool
But it will always hurt that the lore will forever be ignored. I love Duggan writing DP and all bt I miss Weasel,Blind Al, Outlaw and Sandi.
This bitch right here is everything wrong with everything. I want to kill her so bad it makes my dick hurt.
I was neutral on Family Guy for a while, but for some reason I watched this episode. It mystifies me how this piece of shit made it past the concept stage. When Brian at Stewie's shit I just about threw something at my television.
He should have stayed dead. Fuck Family Guy, I used to love that show.
Both the Steven Universe fanbase and hatebase for achieving autism levels beyond human comprehension. The Undertale fanbase and hatebase for the exact same reason
Undertale is pretty much the SU of vidya isn't it
>Tfw like Undertale and want to talk about it, but the fandom makes it fucking impossible
>Tfw this applies to most of the things I'm a fan of
Wake me up inside
Candian Netflix is the worst for this shit
>Let's put on Futurama
>But let's only have 4 seasons on at a time and just alternate which ones are on there.
I don't understand why they do this shit.
Pretty much the way networks treat high budget and high concept shows nowadays. If they can't immediately make back their money in ad revenue alone, even if the show has objectively above average ratings, it'll be moved to a deathslot and cancelled as soon as possible, without any effort to monetize it in obvious ways or take advantage of its age diverse audience with disposable income.
It's a pattern of executive fumbling that's killed so many shows this decade, including Young Justice, Gltas, Tron Uprising, Motorcity, Symbiotic Titan, and others.
>Avengers vs X-men What if...?
As if AvX having the X-men job grossly enought to the Disney pets wasn't bad enough, we get more Jean/Logan fanshipping. atrocious art so bad that the comic isn't even good enough for toilet paper
Because it's already been made motherfucker, and if you unceremoniously kill it without giving it a change to prove itself, not only are you wasting that production cost, you potentially miss out on making the next A:tlA.
The fact that Nick took a gamble with a multi-million dollar movie before an official fucking t shirt still blows my mind, but the same mistake is repeated over and over where a network has Already put down the money for a season or two of a high budget, well animated show, but refuses to figure out a way to make that show profitable
Mech is a pretty retarded concept. You get this high-profile piece of garbage that would certainly be easy to topple, at best you get all the disadvatages of an aircraft and all the disavdantages of ground vehicle, and only advantages of aircraft at best.
Simply putting it on the airship would be perfectly sound. Maybe a bit reminiscent of ATLA, but you just need to turn it into poetry.
Somewhere in the last episodes in Gravity Falls, when I realized that Mabel's characterization is not fumble, but on purpose.
I think Family Guy managed to offend me more at least a few times, but I don't remember particular instances and it is meant to be offensive anyway, so it doesn't count.
Yeah, this was one of the few things that really bugged me too. I know the creators keep saying "just trust us!" but it feels SO ham-fisted and ridiculously Mary Sue.
One thing I've loved about the show time and again is their ability to subvert tropes... I felt let down with all of Dominator's buildup. I think most of all though I'm disappointed with how it made Wander so out of character.
Nick made a live action movie based on AtlA before they made an official t shirt. They gambled big and squandered the most recognizable cartoon of the generation because they were too stupid to compete with people on etsy.
Was legitimately mad that butters took the credit
Someone wanted to reset a huge and generally liked aspect of the status quo Spider man has had for years, did it in a terribly written, unbelievable way, and then stated that he knew better than the fans what spider man should and shouldn't be.
I wish I could wipe Man of Steel off the face of the Earth.
This goddamn fucker makes me want to hang myself
that could also be applied to anyone in modern Spongebob though
Season 7 has been pretty solid from what I've watched, and they gave up on romance shit for the most part. The main gripe I hear is that they focus on a lot of side characters, and some episodes it feels like Finn and Jake are ignored or forgotten. I have yuri goggles firmly planted so I can look past it. Definitely the best the show has been in a while though.
Thats the one you wanna wipe? That's your choice? Man Of Steel?
Iron Man 3, but not because of the Mandarin. It's because despite Cap 2, I knew IM3 was the new standard: Lots of mugging, 0 care for plot or interpretation, paper thin characters, important comic elements being no more than "Easter eggs," and so busy capitalizing on trends that quality no longer mattered. I thought Avengers 1 was good, but Disney and Marvel got the wrong message out of it and what was once something I was so excited for in 2008 became the worlds biggest monkeys paw. I seriously never thought I'd see the day where I didn't give a shit about a Doctor Strange movie being announced.
I actually enjoy parts of Man Of Steel and by all accounts it sounds like Batman V. Superman is going to fix shit from Man Of Steel. MY choice for a one button press for existence cleansing would have to be The Dark Knight Rises.
>I actually enjoy parts of Man Of Steel and by all accounts it sounds like Batman V. Superman is going to fix shit from Man Of Steel.
I didn't ask for all that, dude. Now I'm disinterested learning more.
Bee and Puppycat and the fact that they actually scammed people out of their money by changing the art style after the campaign was finished and delaying the episodes due to sheer laziness
>she isn't a vampire anon
>the shitty source material says so
>blah blah blah
I get a smidgeon of derrière devastation every time
mai waifu is a real vampire damn it ;_;
Scenes with Mrs. Turner and Vicky were cut for time.
April knew Irma when the Kraang were still looking for her!
It makes no sense!
This is another reason why Lord Dominator being a shitty generic female villain is so upsetting; almost every other villain, even one-off villains that only appear for one episode, have more to them than her. Hell, they spent an entire episode looking at the life of a villain who is just a floating black cube that doesn't talk. But then they introduce a new villain who's supposed to be a new main antagonist, and not only do they make her fucking generic as all hell, but she makes Wander turn into a babbling moron out of nowhere and makes Hater do the big-dumb-guy-in-love thing.
It doesn't really matter what she acts like on her own though, because as soon as she puts the suit on she just becomes invincible and stops talking. Also, it gives the impression that she's just evil for the sake of being evil, which is really stupid and lazy because nearly every single villain we've seen has some motivation to be evil.
Also, the fact that she switches from being goofy and hyper in her ship to being completely competent and unstoppable is REALLY mary-sue-ish. It's not really a flaw because it doesn't get in the way of what she's doing. And the fact that she simply ignores wander, again, unlike every other villain on the show, is Mary-Sue-ish, as if she knows that he always interferes with villains and that he wants to stop her.
This fucker for me.
I dropped the show for good when I saw a scene where he makes Spongebob and Patrick mow his lawn in hopes they'd be killed in an accident and shredded to bits.
>Haitus after Haitus after Haitus
Yeah, I was pissed.
Put on hiatus, then cancelled.
Trina didn't eat the whole chocolate diamond.
I was more angry at the CGI mecha with a giant cannon FUCKING STOMPING THROUGH A CITY
Oh and Suyin...all of Suyin. I can't get angry at Bryke's attempt to garner some last minute attention on themselves.
it made me so mad I haven't bought a marvel comic since.
in the 11th grade a teacher accused me of cheating. on a homework assignment. of trivial ease. and as a major dork at the time, on a subject that was well-known I knew my shit.
i'd heard the phrase "seeing red" before but it actually happened. Everything took on a crimson haze and my vision narrowed down to a tunnel, if i had heat vision there would have been a smoking stump of a neck where the teacher's head formally resided.
i knew, i immediately knew, that if i didnt get away ASAFP that i was going to put the teacher through the blackboard. and i was a big bulky kid, 6'2" to the teacher's 5'5", he was a bookwormish scrawny little thing that looked like Dr Silvana. I stood up, stomped out of the classroom, went to the boys restroom and ripped the bathroom stall doors off their frames and wrapped them around the sinks. Walked outside to my car and drove home, slept for almost 18 hours.
Was told later by my friends that one of them told the teacher "you just avoided intensive care, you know that right?" and told him how stupid accusing me of something so pointlessly goofy was.
Came back to school the next day and never heard anything about the incident. Was never scolded for the bathroom damage and it was repaired within the week. Another friend told me the teacher was reprimanded for "picking a fight with a possible validictorian" (I ended up in 6th, friggin AP classes gave grades of 125 and were open-book, I skipped that easy trash).
I don't ever want to experience that again. There are alt-universe copies of me, probably a majority of them, doing jail time over *not* walking away over that incident.
>that Saturday CN suddenly pulled DC Nation from the schedule. Cancellations I can take but that was just a plain old dick move.
This so hard.
CN has a lot of other ones for me too, like:
>NOT picking up Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld for a full-length cartoon show
>Toonami out of nowhere being relegated to Saturday evenings back in the day and replacing weekday Toonami with Miguzi
>pulling Toonami off of the air
>CN Real and everything to do with that, including CN airing live-action movies
So just because it involved a last minute kiss that implied that they would get into a relationship, if even then, it makes this show progressive and thus free of criticism? Jesus Christ...
It's a good thing you posted that in this thread then.
I don't think that's the best image
In the top example, the art improved slightly, not to say anything about the quality of Bug's design, but there's an actual background and Marvin's gun looks a lot less needlessly silly and complicated. Sure it's simplified, but you really didn't need all of those things
The bottom example doesn't really show much at all, just the difference between 5 years of drawing the same character
Paying attention to 4chan's opinions on anything is cancerous and should be avoided, I just skip posts that discuss the quality of frenchises
It's all angry contrarianism, shitposting and people repeating jewtubers word for word, you never see actual, proper points being made
What makes it even worse is that the Priest Guy (can't remember his name) won't do shit about it.
If he wants to push her in the right direction then now would be a nice time to start
Oh I really fucking liked the Bee and Puppycat pilot, it was pleasant and that fucking white haired OC Donut Steal was in it for like 5 seconds
Now it's worthless. So much potential squandered because 'She didn't like the original design.'
I almost forgot about that. They pushed those live action shows so fucking hard but shit on DC Nation. And to add insult to injury of all the things that survived it was fucking TTGO.
YJ and GL:TAS getting canned
When I tried to watch SU that one time and he fucking
destroys the Gem's irreplaceable historyand then they laugh at the end of the episode
I remember watching Re-Animated and Out of Jimmy's Head and wondering why the FUCK were the cartoons the minor characters, and what the holy hell was with that show's plot(s)?
There was A. My dad works at the school I go to, B. My mom's an astronaut, C. My housemate wants me dead, D. My adopted sister's an alien, and E. I'm a schizophrenic. All of those plots could (debatably) have made a decent premise for their own shows. But "No!" says the execs at Cartoon Network, "They must ALL be in ONE show!"
Steven isnt a bully, dont be a bully
>mfw I accidentally showed this gif to some normies while we were going through my downloads folder and I only thought "oh man, they won't know the source material" instead of "fuck this looks like I just stumbled upon a fap file"
>mfw now they think I look at softcore hentai
the first two seasons, I just gave up on this shit.
It was generic shit.
EVERY FUCKING TIME YOU FUCKTARDS LOVE A SHOW/CHARACTER/MOVIE/COMIC AND THEN PRETEND IT'S FUNNY TO HAVE A RAGEBONER FOR THOSE SHOWS.. AND I FUCKING HATE EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU THE ONLY REASON I CHECK THIS FUCKING BOARD IT'S TO SEE IF THERE IS SOME FUNNY THREAD OR SOME NEWS WITH SOURCE...BUT NOOOO
ALL I FOUND IS WAIFUS, FURRYSHIT AND I WANT TO MARRY/KILL KORRA
jokes aside i know is bad for me but i'm having an strange pain in my heart everyfucking time i got angry at this fucking site
>SOME FUNNY THREAD OR SOME NEWS WITH SOURCE
CN's astoundingly rapid fall between 2004 and 2006.
In 2006 (pic related)...
>Shows such as Cow and Chicken, Time Squad, Looney Tunes were removed.
>Jim Samples went senile.
>CN aired the Re-animated movie.
>Saved by the Bell ran on Adult swim for April Fools'.
>Commercials with terrible characters like Fred Fred Burger and Cheese were spammed to appeal to middle schoolers.
>Inuyasha, Teen titans, Justice league unlimited, and others ended, severing all ties with the early 00s.
>CN really pushed that Ben 10 shit, even though nobody liked it.
>Adult Swim stopped the chill Japan bumpers and replaced them with clips of their characters doing wacky/lolrandom things.
When I saw a commercial for that shitty Go-Animate Scooby Doo
It looks like something CollegeHumor would make
I had to stop watching that show because Bloo became a genuine sadist. My young babby self hoped he got thrown out of the home and hit by a truck.
>MFW stomping the chips Wilt gives him into the rug because they're not salt and vinegar
Even though all of this gives me cancer, the first guy is such a fucking douche.
Finn growing his arm back made me really bummed but not mad. Basically killed Adventure Time for me but of course I still watch it.
Shit like FP/Cinnamon Bun or LSP date raping Finn can't really compare for me. We'll never get the beautiful crippled hero boy that we deserved.
That time the Steven Universe tumblr fandom drove an artist to attempt suicide because she drew Rose kind of thin.
I really never got involved with the tumblr SJW stuff for my own sanity, so when I started reading all of the related posts (including SJWs freaking out when the SU crew told them to calm the fuck down) I actually went beet red.
The fact that this even got onto CC's Youtube channel fills me with ungodly amounts of rage. It is pure shit that somehow surpassed the shit level of Brickleberry is astonishing to me.
But I think what pisses me off the most (esecially if you saw the Sleepycabin episode where this was discussed), this shit proves that quality doesn't mean shit. If you can advertise yourself to be bigger and better than you are, even if your God awful, you will go farther than most people could ever dream.
The way this show was treated. Holy shit.
>producers come with pitch for a No Man's Land Batfamily show; only one exec hates it because it's violent, so it gets canned
>producers come with a pitch for a fun Batman/Superman show; execs reject it because the "timing wasn't right"
>Beware the Batman gets made
>after Colorado Shootings, WB execs do damage control and force the crew to censor all guns, costing them lots of time and money to go back and do that
>no toy line or merchandise, which are vital to shows like this
>no premier date until literally the month it premieres
>no trailers, previews, or ads until literally the week before it premieres
>only one slot on Saturday and one on Sunday, both in the morning and no regular reruns
>one commercial that barely airs is the only thing that promotes it
>after the 11th episode, it gets pulled immediately and at the last second before the next premiere
>comic tie-in suddenly cancelled at six issues
>CN doesn't plan on airing it anymore, even though they have worse performing shows
>Toonami buys it, airs reruns before new ones at a shit time
>ratings in Toonami do OK, gets slowly moved up the slots, things look bright
>suddenly, CN wrote it off for as a financial loss for taxes, didn't tell Toonami
>Toonami scrambles at the last minute to have a mini-marathon to finish airing it right before the rights expire
>creators have a gag order and can't talk about the show to the press for a good while
>>producers come with pitch for a No Man's Land Batfamily show; only one exec hates it because it's violent, so it gets canned
Jesus, I had no idea it was ever pitched as that kind of thing.
Now I'm mad.
I was never a big fan of that show but they did treat it terribly.
This dodgeball arc of Paranatural.
What makes me angrier is that it's full of fun moments, most of the individual components are themselves funny and amusing.
But the sum of its parts just feels so dragged out and overdone.
Though to be fair, after seeing the limitations of show CGI, Tucker was glad they didn't do it due to the amount of detail it would take.
DC's/Beechen's/Tomasi's wholesale butchery and destruction of Cassandra Cain by far. I have never been that fucking angry over a /co/ related thing before or since. If those people had been in the same town as me at the time, I would have actually gone out and fucking killed them. It was so stupid, so self-destructive, so senseless, there was no conceivable benefit to anyone, they just took a beautiful thing and broke it and shat on the pieces, shat on it for months.
The cancellation of Avengers EMH, Aka, Earth 616: The cartoon, will forever be the one thing I will be mad about all because of that hack Loeb.
What triggers me even more? Clone Wars. No fully finished "Bad Batch" arc , no more bounty hunter arcs, no Quinlan Vos arc with Vos vs. Darth Maul duel, and no Yoda, Wookies, and the Bad Batch vs. Trandosians & Seperatists. Why? Disney!!
this was hilarious though
nothing more properly summarizes the entirety of the series than this moment, the irony was too perfect, nothing wouldve been a more preferable alternative to that
i dont understand how you could be mad unless you were actually dumb enough to not realize how fucking shitty the show had been prior to this moment
the end of season 1 shouldve been your epiphany, not this
like i probably wouldve been madder had their writing talent kicked in at the last possible moment and the finale was actually GOOD
That period about 5 years ago when tripfag worship really blew up. I think that is the only time I have ever ascended - descended, maybe? - to the awful cartoon stereotype of a neckbeard furiously hammering away at his keyboard while seething with rage. I'm not proud.
I think my /co/-related problem is that I want to know I can sympathize with the main characters of a show before giving it a try.
For that reason, I absolutely COULD NOT bring myself to watch a single episode of Sym-Biotic Titan after viewing the "flashback" episode.
Everything about it pissed me right the hell off. I don't even remember the MC's name, I was so mad. In the span of 30 minutes, I was completely fine with letting each and every inhabitant of his home planet suffer. After what they put him through, they fucking deserved it. Jesus Christ…
Also, Steven Universe.
As a black man, I am offended by how "progressive" it claims to be.
>DC Nation being cancelled because DC felt action cartoons with a lack of humor didn't appeal to kids anymore.
IT SHOULDNT BE THAT HARD
>Always watched flapjack because why not nothing else was on
> Never felt as empty seeing bubby, knuckles, and flapjack go away
frozen kind of lucked into winning an Oscar because of the fact that the academy doesn't really take animation seriously. a lot of people were hoping that some Miyazaki film would win that year (iirc it was the deciding factor in whether or not the studio would stay open). not only did the academy flippantly pass it off to frozen with a measly 3 out of 7 votes, but every other movie was snubbed almost entirely by the voters. more than half of the vote abstained due to disinterest in the subject. you'd think there would be more effort put into it than that but no. apparently if you're selected for a small group to do nothing other than watch movies and vote on which one you enjoyed the most, you don't even have to actually vote for shit. if you were too busy fucking off to watch all of em, just vote for the one you saw. don't like the category? just check the box that reads "fuck these kinds of movies and all of the people that watch them" and promptly return to fiddling with your smartphone after a job well done. it don't matter... none a dis matters...
I thought this show was just ok but how it was treated was pretty shit. It didn't even get the dignity of a burn-off on daytime CN, that almost feels like they had a grudge or something against it.
the comic and cartoon industry as a whole recently.
Comics because of the forced diversity push and the retarded clusterfuckery of nepotism and smugness going on in it's background that screams "We're an industry that's about to implode because we've pretty much become like clickbait websites, relying more on outrage and pandering than actual good writing".
Cartoons because EVERYTHING'S ON FUCKING HIATUS ALL THE GODDAMN TIME!
CN and the DC people apparently hate eachother's guts despite being owned by the same mother company.
the only reason TTG got to stay is because it was cheap as dick to make and made a nice replacement for johnny test
There are other comic companies besides the big 2 anon.
You just described Marvel anyways who, outside of movies and some tv, has been going downhill for years. DC is bad but not nearly as much when it comes to what you said.
The fact in general that Hussie threw away half of the cast for the sake of making more characters. What's the point of growing the amount of characters when you're only gonna give a shit about a quarter of them?
Man, /tv/ is absolutely hilarious since TFA. Being /tv/ is hard. They watch mostly the same Hollywood blockbusters everyone else does but somehow strive to be different than the plebs. This leads to them claiming to hate movies everyone likes and claiming to love movies universally penned by critics.
>but as far as I know,KLK lasted only one season, because of the budget.
TTGL was 27 episodes.
KLK was 26 episodes.
KLK wasn't "one season", it was a fucking two-cour show. Do you have any citations for the bullshit you spew?
Joss Whedon's butcher job on AoU.
>hulk/black widow shipping because Whedon thinks bruce banner is his self insert OC
>also fucked up hawkeye by throwing a random wife and kids in, nuked the possibility of kate bishop showing up
>killed off pietro for shits and giggles
I could go on forever
The way they changed the love interests reaction to him confessing in the kickass movie compared to the comic.
I really liked the point the comic was making that even if you're the protagonist and play hero it doesn't mean that your love interest will return your feelings in the end and they might even think you're creepy for pretending to be gay to get closer to them.
The fucking in the ally part from the movie came out of nowhere and was frankly kind of gross.
reading the synposis for an upcomming avatar episode, and its about what happened to Appa after getting kidnapped by the sandbenders.
im so hyped because they've literally showen the fucking library episode 100 times, and no one i know that watches avatar (more or less everyone in school) knows what happened. its a global mystery.
so then i sit and wait.
AND THE SYNPOSIS WAS WRONG IT WAS THE FUCKING LIBRARY EPISODE AGAIN
I HAD TO WAIT YEARS UNTIL I SAW THE EPISODE, HAD TO WAIT UNTIL I HAD MY OWN COMPUTER AND LEARNED ABOUT STREAMING AND STUFF.
Pushed Jimmy into irredeemable status.
I'm still under the impression that her drastic character shift is just one big long con that will end up with her on top and better than when she was at her Act 4 peak.
But this is me hoping against hope
I've never really understood the anti-frozen sentiment on this board at all. It wasnt the best disney movie, but it was absolutely an above-average one.
Minions popularity kinda makes sense, I suppose. Every little kid that exists finds the minions funny as fuck.
>Characters can't be bisexual at all
>Non-straight characters must have gigantic signs pointing out gay they are and they have to have scenes of them talking about how they're gay
Mass Effect 3. I'm still mad. I will always be mad. It's the one game that shattered any optimism I had for the gaming industry and managed to turn me into a cynical asshole. It wasn't even the endings that pissed me off that much even if they were terrible, it was that such an incredibly mediocre game could garner near universal praise from so called professional reviewers who still to this day lavish it with praise. Fuck, I'm getting angry just thinking about it now...
If something is popular, /co/ hates it, no matter how much it's anticipated by them before release, and no matter how well-loved it is for the month or two after.
It also doesn't help, though, that the fandoms for said popular movies tend to flood the board, too.
Some anon made a very accurate formula for the phenomenon.
Personally, I enjoyed all of Mass Effect 3 except for the last ten minutes. But that itself isn't what made me rage, as absurd as it was. What made me angry was the way BioWare handled the fiasco. Instead of owning-up to it, or getting an experienced PR team to deal with the mass negative response, they went the, "It's art, you just didn't get it," route and responded to the criticisms with such a holier-than-thou approach. They did the same thing with Dragon Age 2.
I get that the brief original endings were probably due to EA cutting BioWare's development time short, and they couldn't just outright say that because EA would fire them at the drop of a hat, but damn, riding the condescending "it's art, you just don't get it," high horse for so long was infuriating. The free DLC to fix the endings helped, but that really shouldn't have happened in the first place.
>>CN really pushed that Ben 10 shit, even though nobody liked it.
I agree with most of your points, but I dunno about this one man. I mean, even as someone who also noticed the decline in quality around then, Ben 10 seemed okay - not good enough for me to follow, but a decently alright action show (this was suffix-less Ben 10 of course). And a LOT of kids ate that show up, or more importantly, bought the toys. I'm not even a fan, but you can't deny that show was objectively popular, both with kids and with animation manchildren
who were turned on by Gwen.
When I was a kid reading TMNT, and the cartoon came out, Cowabunga Pizza Turtles was not what I was expecting. I was so pissed, even moreso when assholes at school tried to me shit about TMNT and they only had ever watched the cartoon. I even gave shit to Kevin Eastman at a Convention about it. The incident was chronicled by him in the back of one of the "Return to NY" books.
Its a fire that burns hot within me to this day.
Pic related, some of my childhood reading materials.
I was a few years too late for the party, I was spoiled all the way down. It wasn't as bad as I expected, although really roots of the problem were growing from final scene of ME2, no way it could've ended well.
Experimental story structure (kind of a subjective thing, I liked it)
Assets reused out the wazoo (You have two cave maps that are closed off differently depending on the mission, but they're supposed to all be different caves)
RPG mechanics seriously hampered, more of a mix between Action and RPG but executed only halfway (none of the enemies were really tailored for that system).
Bryke weren't actually interested in showing a well crafted relationship, they just wanted a scapegoat so if people said they disliked the show they could go OH IT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE A HOMOPHOBE and so if people bitched about writing they could go M-MUH EXECUTIVE MEDDLING RUINED OUR VISION
Didn't work because they were expecting Nick to say no and Nick said go for it.
Mechs can work if they're a little more like power suits, or at least are more stable via 4-6- or even 8 legged robots.
I love robots, but not at that scale. It just becomes stupid.
Power armour would work. Walking tanks are just overall impractical. High profile would make them easy target. And let's not forget terrible terrible pressure on the soil, your spider mech would likely sink into anything softer then solid rock.
Roaming urban streets in your tripods and looking into people's windows is the only reasonable use I can come up for mechas.
You should play 3 anyway, just prepare to disappointing ending. It's less disappointing now with all the DLCs.
But it's a good story. Not a very good game perhaps, but a good interactive story with fun characters, lots of thoughts put into worldbuilding and lots of attractions going on.
For me it was mostly that they always blamed nick for fucking with them. This time however nick was holding them back, which they said themselves. So there's no way of denying how shit they where all along. Then it just all falls apart because it becomes obvious that every single problem was with Bryke and not Nick messing with the show.
Anon you responded to.
I'm in the minority in that I actually liked Dragon Age 2, but I understand why people didn't like it, and their dislike was only exacerbated by BioWare's poor handling of the negative reaction since, as I said, BioWare put the blame on them, the customers, instead of taking a more PR-friendly route.
Obviously there can be bisexual characters, and no non-straights don't need that. What they do however need to do, is show how a character isn't straight anymore when thats all they've ever been, otherwise no one could possibly know the character was bisexual. And no ending your show with your character suddenly being gay is not showing this in the show. That is just a copout for putting in the actual work to represent non-straight characters.
A possible gay character could have been Varrick before they started the whole Zhurrick ship thing in book 4.
Pretty much anything /pol/ or /sjw/ related talking about something I like is the only think that sets me off.
It really sucks the fun out of art to project your personal politics into literally everything you can can possibly view subjectively. I don't see how people do it. It's like eating a cupcake with no icing.
ME3 is a shit game in general and an utter chore to play if you want to complete it all since most of it is filler. I'd say just play ME1 if you want a true RPG and maybe play ME2 if you can stomach just how much gets dumbed down.
You are partly the reason DA2 was so shit. I don't see how anyone can enjoy the button mashing and teleporting enemies in the game, even when compared to the more archaic design of Origins.
You still need to give off cues that they are bi though. Just having a character suddenly date someone of the same sex when nothing beforehand suggested that they were into that is shitty writing at its finest. It's one of the reasons why New Avengers and current X-men are such garbage.
>I don't understand why they do this shit.
Your country has the world's largest inferiority complex when it comes to entertainment and has a ministry whose job it is to ensure you are not exposed to filthy outsider content. Even when it was made in your country.
Sack the fuck up and fix this.
>by changing the art style after the campaign was finished
The Korean studio that makes B&P does high quality work BUT Frederator was lowballing them hard on what they'd pay for so the animators turned around and said "everything is fucking marshmallows we can animate fast now, live with it or find another studio."
>So much potential squandered because 'She didn't like the original design.'
Natasha had nothing to do with it. This decision was over her head and she was told to take the blame for it.
I grew up in New England right around Noho when TMNT became a thing and before there was a show I knew this was a brainless cash grab and that's exactly what it became. I genuinely feel bad for the kids who grew up on the b&ws thinking they were going to get toy companies to subsidize a straight adaptation of that.
I feel you.
Trips confirm for good tastes.
It's "show don't tell", anon. You can't just tell the audience that couple of characters are gay, you have to show the them in a relationship and build it up. It's basic storytelling.
