New issue of G.I. JOE A Real American Hero just came out today.
This is part 5 of the new/current arc.
Shit's been heating up and it looks like we've reached boiling point.
Let's give it a read.
This is ARAH #223.
(remember when tons of comics had triple digit issue numbers besides this, Invincible, and Walking Dead?)
AWESOME variant cover. Rock 'N' Roll is underrated as fuck.
If you're reading then don't hesitate to bump the storytime for others.
And here we go.
Sorry for the delay. It wouldn't let me post for a few minutes there.
And that does it.
For some reason there's no letters page in this issue. Does anyone know if it's in the print version?
Anyway, you can get a download link for this issue in the Win-O' Thread.
This is some fine Cobra work here. Domination's the game, but what is his playbook if this was all his opening gambit?
Not him but the original marvel run is great, an awesome mix of realistic paramilitary action and completely over-the-top sci-fi. The art is a bit dated but the writing is still solid.
It's essentially MGS but less convoluted and more fun. Check out issue 21 "Silent Interlude" it's one of the really stand out early issues.
Plus the collected editions of the original series is super easy to find and pretty cheap to boot, if you're so inclined.
It's technically the same series, though the IDW relaunch is not quite as great.
If you don't know shit about G.I. JOE then just go back to the beginning as start from there.
You should be able to get nearly everything related to the original continuity here: >>78739594
> The art is a bit dated but the writing is still solid.
More so during the tail end of the Marvel run when the art got wonky and Hasbro pushed those wonky final toys into the comic.
