New issue of G.I. JOE A Real American Hero just came out today.

This is part 5 of the new/current arc.

Shit's been heating up and it looks like we've reached boiling point.

Let's give it a read.

This is ARAH #223.

(remember when tons of comics had triple digit issue numbers besides this, Invincible, and Walking Dead?)

STORYTIME

AWESOME variant cover. Rock 'N' Roll is underrated as fuck.

If you're reading then don't hesitate to bump the storytime for others.

And that does it.

For some reason there's no letters page in this issue. Does anyone know if it's in the print version?

Anyway, you can get a download link for this issue in the Win-O' Thread.

This is some fine Cobra work here. Domination's the game, but what is his playbook if this was all his opening gambit?

bump

It'll be ruined by Mindbender's autisim
>>
>>78742709
This was pretty neat. What's a good place to start reading GI Joe?
>>
>>78751629
From the beginning?

You could just start with the IDW relaunch of the original continuity or you could read the actual Marvel issues.

Great cover.
>>
>>78741837
I never understood the purpose of the Freds all looking identical.
>>
>>78741673
Un-American machinegun bump.
>>
>>78752228
Is there any difference? Which one is more newfag friendly? And more important, which has better Cobra?
>>
>>78741982
Fuck, Mindbender is going to fuck up this whole thing.
>>
>>78742547
Well he fucked shit up now.
>>
Why does everyone keep getting shot in the shoulder?
>>
>>78754067

IIRC, at least one series are body doubles for Cobra Commander

Not him but the original marvel run is great, an awesome mix of realistic paramilitary action and completely over-the-top sci-fi. The art is a bit dated but the writing is still solid.

It's essentially MGS but less convoluted and more fun. Check out issue 21 "Silent Interlude" it's one of the really stand out early issues.

Plus the collected editions of the original series is super easy to find and pretty cheap to boot, if you're so inclined.

then bump i shall

that homer simpson coffee mug
tee hee
>>
>>78754085
It's technically the same series, though the IDW relaunch is not quite as great.

If you don't know shit about G.I. JOE then just go back to the beginning as start from there.

You should be able to get nearly everything related to the original continuity here: >>78739594

> The art is a bit dated but the writing is still solid.

More so during the tail end of the Marvel run when the art got wonky and Hasbro pushed those wonky final toys into the comic.
>>
>>78758676
The art is fucking fantastic. The fuck are you talking about? Even the later issues where the art actually did go downhill still looked better than the IDW art.
