It has been a while.
god fucking DAMMIT I wish I could've been in charge of writing for Jack. His character design is so goddamn good and he would make an even better antagonist if HE WAS JUST AN ACTUAL THREAT. But no he just throws junk robots at the MCs and lets all the other antagonists be the dangerous ones for him.
>that episode where Raimundo beats the piss out of Omi without breaking a sweat and it turns out he was a double agent pretending to be evil all along, deceiving the most powerful villains of all time like it was nothing, an receiving secret training from Monk Guan
Rai was so far beyond everyone else it was almost marty stew-ish, but goddamn I loved how be became the leader in the end.
something about the original writing team getting bumped off halfway through writing season 2 and talking about their original plans for the series
iirc the whole thing where omi gets his future revealed as the xiaolin monk of darkness was actually real and not a ruse but he'd rejoin the team after realising that he's not destined to be evil that and that light != good, and dark != evil
and spicer was supposed to be recruited as the xiaolin monk of metal I think
And a great villain turned into this after disney got it.
Don't they have some really fucked up thing about their voice actors that stops actors from reprising their roles, but still somehow results in the same few people voicing every goddamn Canadian animated production?
>Raimundo would have been Wood.
If anything he was generic and boring and couldn't even follow a consistent theme. His armor was Wu-inspired, his lair was Greceo-Roman, he was a lizard man but turned all of his defeated opponents into cat servants. Even his motivating goal was just an uninspired subversion of one monk to gain his power.
He took out all the Xiaolin monks, including the Old Master guy, and would have taken out the protagonists if Omi hadn't gotten the golden tiger claw from the center of the earth to grab his heart from the inside.
This would definitely been better. Him worshiping Chase but quickly growing more skeptical and reserved based on his mistreatment would have been a good development. I also would have been okay with Jack becoming a neutral party/sometimes-ally rather than an ineffectual antagonist.
What >>78730295 said would have also been pretty neat. Especially if Jack didn't follow the usual kung-fu approach and incorporated his tech as the team's maverick.
Mah nigga I was a bout to post how much I liked that plot point. I think that's the first time I saw some shit like that in an American cartoon , the worst warrior of the bunch actually becoming the bad guy then the alpha of the team . Shaolin actually went somewhere with the story which surprised the hell out of me
Watch the finale of season 1, rinse and repeat.
I know that feel bro. Every episode he just... didn't learn. He was just a punching bag. Everyone was smarter than him. Everyone was stronger than him. He didn't even feel like a threat, just target practice. I don't get how he got up in the morning.
>that last episode where he fought alone agaisnt all the main villains and masters of the show and managed to make Omi win the duel.
That shit was so fucking amazing, I love how he got shit all the time on the show, but managed to get respect by hard work and being alpha.
As a brazillian, I must say that he is my favorite /co/ brazillian, a true BR.
The Unrelenting Onion Ring.
Makes Jack unmovable but without the weight trade off of the Two-Ton Tunic.
Or maybe just something that heightens his reflexes but comes with the trade off of raising his heart rate by unhealthy levels that'll probably kill him in the long run.
I dunno, I'm high and considering anything that might make Jack competent.
Should jack have been a girl?
>Haniball Roy Bean use magic future kung fu to see the future.
>There is a prophecy that there is ANOTHER Xiaolin dragon, and that by stealing his soul, Haniball might conquer the world, but if he fails, said dragon will cause his defeat for good.
>Fucking Jack is predestined to be the Metal Dragon, but he will never be able to pull it if he dont start to levelling up.
>Haniball decides to control Jack, and help him becoming a competent evil minion.
>He kills and replace some random incredibly rich dude, and proceed to aproach Jack as some kind of "Evil uncle that wants to get into evil stuff just because I was bored".
>He acts as the "uncle who tries to get into the kids fad", but the fad in question is kunf fu magic, and never seems to be taking this seriously.
>In realitty he keeps making Jack push up his limits, and gives him advices and trainament, he even sugest to use magic and technology together to make stronger robots.
>Along the season Jack starts slowly getting more competent and cuning, happy that someone gives him support.
>While he becomes more competent, others start taking him more seriously, and the new status actually makes him and the monks develop mutual respect.
>Time passes, and Hanibbal decides to reveal himself and gives Jack The magic soup that turn him into a dragonman, but for it he must sell his soul.
>"Take it Jack! Its all that you wanted, you is predestined to be a greater force of evil than Chase!"
>Jack drinks the soup, and becomes some kind of abomination, because a xiaolin dragon under the effects of the curse gains a bigger and monstrous form than a regular master.
>The last episode is Hanibbal controlling/hijacking Jack body.
>The monks try to appeal to him, and theur increasing in friendship and all the times that Jack helped them in the past, he still has light inside him.
>The final battle is a battle at the center of the mind, between Haniball and Jack Spices - helped by the "Good Jack". In teh end regular Jack fuses with good Jack, accpets his good side, and defeat Hanibbal.
>Jack free of the curse, joins the monks.
What you guys think?
No, he shouldnt, but I wanted a rule 63 episode where the characters are transformed.
Also, posting more fem Jack.
And good Jack too.
A lot of Canada's stupid policies are backfiring. Blanket government support of native animation resulted in a wave of shitty cartoons that the U.S. imports on the cheap. ISPs that aren't allowed to fail have become so neglectful that Netflix lists Canada as having third-world-tier internet access. Hate speech laws are so draconian that a guy was taken to court by a couple of women for disagreeing with them over Twitter.
He needs a change of perspective and a resounding kick in the pants more than anything.
Have an alternate version of Jack show up from another universe or the not too distant future. He's more chill than normal Jack when it comes to building Evil Genius street cred, but that just lets him focus more on being effective. Alternate Jack runs circles around normal Jack, getting off on pointing out all of his failures and why they keep happening. It leaves normal Jack with food for thought after alternate Jack is banished, serving as a catalyst for change.
Jack had so much potential.
but then Chase happened outta nowhere and the plot started riding his dick super hard.
so we lost a cool Science vs Magic conflict to switch over to a much more generic Magic vs Magic conflict.
I'd introduce another ghost.
Have him be a Monk that was unable to use magic and instead relied on trickery and machines, only to turn evil when he was thrown out of his temple for deceiving his fellow monks.
During a Wu hunt one of the dragons accidentally releases him, he sees them hand Jack his ass and wreck the Jackbots as usual.
He approaches Jack as he's collecting the parts of his broken Jackbots and offers To teach Jack everything he knows.
Jack is skeptical and it takes getting humiliated a few more times before he swallows his Pride and accepts.
On one hand I understand. The US is a cultural juggernaut, Canada is just doing what it can to avoid being completely overtaken culturally, especially since they are our neighbor.
On the other hand, it does cause shit like Chronicles to happen so its a shame.
Lets see. Off the top of my head
>Replaced all the voice actors except Tara Strong (since shes canadian)
>Ignored the previous show's finale, everyone is equal rank and no reference to Raimundo being leader is ever made
>Introduces a new character that visually is just Omi with glasses named Ping Pong who joins the team instead of Jack which was what the original plan was if the other show hadn't been canceled
>3D cgi xiaolin showdowns
>Dojo is yellow for some reason
>No real continuity on who has what Shen Gong Wu (Jack loses his monkey staff one episode in a showdown, then has it again in the next episode for no real reason)
And other reasons. Basically everything that could go wrong did go wrong
You forgot the biggest offender of all. Wuya lost her hips.
I made all four of the main cast in casual clothes and gis, plus Jack and Chase. I wanted to make Wuya, but nothing seemed to fit.
Honestly, the eastern world can't be the only region that has magic objects and shit.
Eastern Wu, Western Artifacts, maybe? Jack dabbling in powers outside of that realm of magic could lead to him getting a pretty significant boost in survivability. Like, they operate in completely different ways and mediums than the Wu or something.
Fuck, just give him a gun or slingshot or something. Seriously, Jack should have some shit relating to his inhuman levels of persistence though. Nigga I ever really gives up.
Well we see that in the future if the heroes were to lose, Jack would come out on top, taking down both Chase and Wuya
And the plna the original writers had was that he would join the team as the Dragon of Metal eventualy
It was before everyone started throwing a bitch fit about racist stereotypes in cartoons.
True, but there are two or three good shows on the middle of garbage.
>Omi trying too hard to become leader
>In all time lines someone other than Omi becomes leader
So good to see him put in his place throughout the entire finale. That and Rai stepping up 4v1 in the final Showdown.
>That hundred page long some times lewd, crossover comic about Jack being gender swaped on Deviantart.
>Jack and Dib are roomates.
What. Why does this exist?
Story time it?
It actually exist.
First book 252 pages and second 300
But I dont knw if it is storytime material.
I managed to watch some of what I think was the finale, just to see how terrible it was. Strangely it wasn't as fucking stupid as the rest of the show. Some dragon rider-related plot that came out of nowhere. Apparently Chase is a buttblasted ex-dragon rider who fucked up and was exiled or something. I don't know, this show is retcon city.
Christ that sounds awful. I only watched the one where Jack tried to take over Christmas and he kept repeating the same line "Merry Jackmas to you!" over and over again. Also apparently Omi wanted his birthday to be on Christmas.
I think the worst one I ever watched (and what finally destroyed any ounce of hope I held out for the show) was the one where Chase uses a magic shrimp(?) to destabilize nature, turning frogs into sheep and shit because EVIL, then Jack ate the shrimp and turned into a girl.
I swear to God, whoever writes this shit must be on meth.
