>>
>>78719836
Plus, Attilan actually helps Inhumans and gives them shelter.
The X-Men's idea of "shelter" is literally Hell, and they don't have anywhere near as many resources.
Plus, Attilan actually engages in diplomacy in order to cooperate with other countries to help inhumans. The X-Men don't even bother

>>
>>78719881
How exactly did a mutant supremacist like Apocalypse justify having Inhuman henchmen? Surely he'd want to eliminate the competition, his whole purpose is ensuring that mutants thrive as the dominant species
>>
>>78719881
>>78719876
lol more you know, I haven't read early 90's era X-Factor in forever, I just assumed since they were always taking orders from Apoc, Genesis, Stryfe they were mutants.

also Marvel has actual decent Inhuman villains and they're going to Job them out to the X-Men's B Team, instead of elevate them as actual rivals to the Inhumans.
>>

Apocalypse believes that the best will survive, but he does like giving others equal chances to prove themselves. He also fought with Eternals, but sadly, not one wanted to join him.

Agree, how have we gone 60 years without a badass black and red costume on Magneto, and just the right amount if purple to keep his regal flair.

I wish they would have given Monet her own color so her suit stands out a bit more, but I like motif they're going for with the costumes, kinda like the X2 and X3 movie costumes with individual colored piping.

>When Apocalypse conquered the city of Attilan, home of the Inhumans, he enslaved part of its population. He selected six Inhumans among them: Gauntlet, HardDrive, Tusk, Foxbat, Psynapse and Barrage. They became the Riders of the Storm, named after Apocalypse's earliest army. Apocalypse sent them to Earth to battle his enemies X-Factor and infect the infant Nathan Christopher Summers and Ship with a techno-organic virus. Ship launched and self-destructed, but the AI that controlled Ship was saved. X-Factor made it to the Moon, where Atillan was then located, and joined with the royal family of the Inhumans in their battle against Apocalypse. Apocalypse was defeated, seemingly killed, and the enslaved Inhumans were freed. Despite this loss, the Riders of the Storm remained loyal to Apocalypse, and took his body back to Earth to regenerate in his base.

Green Gun Man is Gauntlet the Leader and Inhuman
Blue Guy is Deadbolt a Mutant

It goes back to the first story Dark Riders debuted in. iirc, Apocalypse sent the Dark Riders fight O5 X-Factor because he was oissy about them living in his Celestial Ship, long story short, Ship ends up exploding in space, X-Factor survive by making it to the Moon, where it turns out Pockylips was mucking about, and had temporarily conquered the Inhumans' home on the blue area of the Moon. He basically just recruited few Inhumans to his side, presto Dark Riders. This was the same story that sent baby Cable to the future, btw.
>>
>>78720259
Uncanny 9/10 loses a point for some typical lazy Land tricks, reads like an X-Men book back when X-Men ruled the world.

All New 5/10 Angel, Wolverine, Iceman, Idle and Evan might as well not even be in the book, the Ghosts of Cyclops are all more fleshed out than them.

Extraordinary 2/10 and I say this as a major Ramos fan, to go backwards in characterization on Mr. Sinister is one thing but to have Nightcrawler shitting out bible rhetoric is beyond awful, the set up is just horrible, and even worst we still know nothing of how and why the X-Men are in Limbo or where a majority of X-Characters even are.

Eh. It's fine. Bunn wrote Magneto before and it makes perfect sense for Psylocke to be on this new non-X-Force X-Force.
As for Angel, it's weird that he's suddenly a mindless Archangel, but anything's better than him being just a joke in WatX. Actually, I quite like where this is going.

So while I can sort of see the correlation with the movies, in this case, I can't even remotely fault them for it. It comes pretty naturally, as opposed to some of the other stuff they did for movie synergy of late.

Who's the woman in black and red? I haven't read much recent X-men but I don't think I've seen her before. It was hilarious when she was saying "don't you realize I'm bulletproof?" and I was just thinking "they probably don't because they haven't heard of you."

Why is Warren back to being archangel and is apparently brain dead? Last I saw him was just forgetting his whole life in Uncanny X-Force and then he sort of disappeared when the past x-men showed up.

I thought Fantomex was supposed to be in this?

>Who's the woman in black and red? I haven't read much recent X-men but I don't think I've seen her before.
Monet 'M' Delacroix
Mostly featured in X-Factor. She's a middle eastern super model mutant with flight, super strength, invulnerability and telepathy and is in general just better than you.

I don't think I can retell her origin straight, but it doesn't really matter, it never comes up again.
After X-Factor ended, she was in Brian Wood's All-Female Adjectiveless X-Men for a tiny bit, which sucked. Now she's here. As to why she's here - nobody really knows. She is usually not the X-Force sort of person.

All-New has my favorite X-Man (Genesis) but it feels stuck dealing with the Bendis fallout. It doesn't bring anything new or interesting to the table, and isn't the classic teen book it could have been. Really, the book seems to focus on O5 Cyclops to the detriment of every other character. What are Idie and Genesis like? I don't know and neither does Hopeless. 5/10

Extraordinary has to deal with the even more convoluted fallout of Secret Wars, events, and reboots (ie Wolverine is in it but it's a different Wolverine). We still don't know what Cyclops did or see the Terriger Mist kill mutants or see how or why the school is in Limbo, so the stakes still aren't set. It also has O5 Jean Grey, the worst one. The book solely exists to just tell us the shitty status quo. 2/10

Uncanny was at least fun to read. Characters are established quickly, stakes are set, and there's lot of action. 7.5/10

It's barely even an X-Force anymore.

It's basically a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants at this point. Magneto is calling every shot and he is at an all time low of fucks to give again.
It's actually pretty great. Just a couple of years ago, Magneto was running with the X-Men. Now some X-Men are running with Magneto.
If they realised what they have done here, they could actually build something great from there.

It would be a much needed move at this point. With pretty much every villain turning into a hero/anti-hero/X-Men in recent years, some characters could move in the opposite direction now to off-set that.
And you have to admit, the transition to ever more violent X-Forces over the years, the continued acceptance of the team by pretty much every X-Men leader and now Magnetos rise back to independence could be presented as a very natural progression that brought parts of the X-Men ever closer to Brotherhood territory.

But I guess Marvel is too busy with all the Inhumans crap and endless fucking crossovers and WHERE IS CYCLOPS???

>A lot of people hate Bachalo coloring the books he pencils, but frankly, I like them personally. They seem to have more personality.
Bachalo doing his own colours is just sort of dull to me. Don't know if it's due to missing flashy effects, but I sure know that the palette he employs is usually really flat. A whole lot of brown, black and white.
I always prefered his stuff when it was coloured a bit more vibrantly.

Frankly, while Quesada was a shithead when it comes to Spider-Man and X-Men, during his tenure your average book definitely had some quality. You could pick literally any book, and you could see that marvel cared about it 200%.

Bah, only few years ago, like 2011/2012, marvel relaunched Captain America as Cap & "Guest Star", continuing the numbering. Same with Journey into mystery. Somehow, they weren't afraid of big numbers. And you had less variants as well.

And when Alonso took over, marvel slowly descended into bullshit, with gimmicks, characters no longer being tied to particular franchise, and also losing their own flavor.

And here we are now. It's like 20th anniversary of marvel filing for bankruptcy, and it feels like the history would repeat if not for Star Wars and Disney

THIS! This fucks every sacrifice Psylocke (and the team) took to remove the death seed in Remender's run! Does he even remember again?

How can this book get even more based. Thank God at least one writer at Marvel reads comic books.

The Dark Riders AND the Nasty Boys?

Based Bunn

It wasn't really that long ago. Only like 3 years then had the Guido: King of Hell shit resolved only 2 years ago. Not like it's something that happened back in the 80s or something.

That's... kind of okay then.

Actually, it's not the worst idea for healers to have targets painted on their backs. If anything they should be the worst treated mutants outside of physically bizarre looking ones.

You'd think they'd be prime targets for big crimelords and dictators to kidnap and keep in their basement

>Elixir and Nasty Boys are back
Wonder if he'll touch upon the subject of Spurrier's Legacy and the fact that Ruckus is a drooling retard now (or is he? After Legion restarted the world, lots of things stopped making sense).
>>
>>78753942
Basically nothing that happened in Legacy actually happened.

Everyone who died never did. Blindfold's brother is probably still out there somewhere. Aarkus may still be evil.
Karasu and Sojobu ended up prisoners of the villains in X-Force instead of Sojobu being dead and Karasu a student at JGS

So hopefully Ruckus is still around
>>
>>78754177
But if Legacy never happened, what's up with like a fuckton of events and stories from the 90s? If Age of X never happened, how come Chamber's back to his old "explosion for a face" look?
>>

Writers didn't think that far out, yet. Neither they will.

Legion just removed himself from the equation and left time to fix itself.
So you really just have to assume that everything still happened somehow, but not with Legion in it and the only thing that's outright retconned is the X-Men Legacy run itself.
Hell, it's not even the first time someone removed themselves from history in the X-Men and everything just sort of continued.

You think Bunn will be the first other writer to acknowledge something Spurrier wrote? Because I don't think any other writer ever has up until now.

The latter, unfortunately. Nature of comic books.
>>
>>78754879
We've been through all of this before. Magneto lead the X-Men for fuck's sake.
So none of this would be uncharted territory. But I feel right now, Magneto is more useful as a villain.
>>
>>78754889
>and next scene is Cyclops gene war, one man army against Inhumans and probably all X-Men because he's lolHitler
Corporate comics were mistake.
>>78754914
I know, anon. I just hoped that Magneto's realization that Dream is good thing, which was followed by Xavier saying that mutants should kill all flatscans, would lead to something bigger.
>>
>>78754933
Magneto has been sitting around tamed at the X-Men's base for several years. Enough time for Rogue to jump his bones.
Him being evil again is a change. One that has not yet managed to impact any of the other books. I want it to stick around until the status quo acknowledges it and shifts accordingly.

I want the X-Men to see several established X-Men running around with Magneto mutilating people and say:
"Maybe running ever more violent X-teams wasn't such a great idea in the long run."
>>
>>78755019

He's not even evil again, he just shifted to Mutant Punisher
>>
>>78755019
>Magneto has been sitting around tamed at the X-Men's base for several years.
Now when I think of it, during Utopia? He and Namor should have be leaders of X-Force. Instead we got
>Cyclops says I'm not surrounding myself with villains
>panel with Emma, Namor and Magneto
>>
>>78755071
Back in the day, when Magneto and his pals would try to kill a couple of people doing shady shit with mutants, the X-Men would step in.
Defending those who hate and fear them. Lecturing Magneto on why not to just murder everyone who opposes you.
Sure, they would free the mutants if there was some actual danger there. But they wouldn't let Magneto massacre the people doing it.
