Döner Kebap. Not the turkey/ chicken ones, tho. Take veal. It's a million times better.
Oh, and if you aren't sure where to buy, ask to try one of their toppings or condiments. If their toppings are fresh and their sauce isn't to oily or anything then it's safe to assume that the meat is good as well.
However, stay clear from any Kebap place with overly salty meat, because that means it's old.

Because mankind would be fine. They would just end up doing a lot of even less ecologically sound things. Like, it could potentially push us to put our energy entirely behind nuclear, which would be good, but probably very bad because we'd have to rush it, and we'd have a fuckton of shoddily set up power plants waiting to leak the second a bird hits one.

In general, the lack of care taken in rapidly developing alternatives would probably do incredible damage to the earth. Even if we were going solar or some shit, we'd probably be dumping to waste products into the ocean to save money and temporarily dropping all our emissions standards for the sake of efficiency.
