When is Disney going to start bring over more foreign shows?
Apparently Disney produces stuff overseas that never makes it to the US.
Doraemon airs on Disney XD presently, and the Pac-Man cartoon is a co-production. They also used to air Naruto Shippuden, all the pre-Xros Digimon series, Tokyo Pig, and the Stitch anime (for only a week...).
I know your pain though, I wish Heroman would get a western release too.
>Disney produces stuff overseas that never makes it to the US.
Such us? I know that robot girl we talk here from time to time and the Stich series, but what other shows have they produced?
Disney tried dubbing the Stitch anime. That lasted.. what, three episodes? I don't remember.
They're airing that one anime with the cat on Disney XD. I can't remember what it's called.
Disney is probably the one company that could afford the rights to Evangelion. Too bad they probably have no interest in dubbing it. The only way that could happen is if Mayazaki pressures them. I know he's bros with Anno. Does Mayazaki have any sort of power in the company?
>Disney tried dubbing the Stitch anime. That lasted.. what, three episodes? I don't remember.
They actually dubbed all 79 episodes, but the majority of that dub only aired in Singapore. Only about 5 episodes at most aired in the US.
doraemon bombed? i never heard of it till i saw it on disney xd and i love it. probably one of the best shows on there. it has to be doing better than that shitty mighty med or any of those other crappy kid sitcoms.
>Disney starts hiring japanese studios to make anime for them
>Their budgets increase tenfold
>Quality of anime in general soars, but quantity is reduced
>Disney singlehandedly saves anime
>Implying this isn't already starting
Remember Doraemon? Something tells me they will bring over some more stuff, but I think moe shows like K-on are out of the question.
Dude, if they don't like the Robot Cat, they wouldn't have dubbed it at all.
>They got Naruto once just out of spite.
How does this makes sense? The Edgy Ninja Show is uber popular as fuck, and anyone who airs it must wanted some of the killer viewership.
>at least 15 channels
I honestly can only think of 6.
Disney Mexico/Latin America?
Disney XD Canada?
Disney XD Mexico/Latin America?
That's 13 based on what I know.
I want a sound reason why Buddyfight isn't being dubbed by a better fucking company, because it's current dub has one of the worst scripts that don't add anything to the characters(ie. digimon, shaman king, space dandy) to make it enjoyable in another light, nor is it a script of a good translation. The script is horribly reworked/under-worked to have a dialogue scene in the first episode that goes:
DUB: "Son you cannot be chief so I'm sending you to earth"
SUB: "Son you must take your studies to earth now to reach potential"
SUB: "I will partner with the strongest human and become stronger than ever"
"You must soften your head"
DUB: "I will find the strongest human partner ever"
"Don't be stubborn!"
While sometimes it translates like above, it doesn't translate into valid english conversation.
nah, doesn't have many sexual implications that can't be written off as a situation to get embarrassed across cultures. Mainly it's about a group of girls being friends and doing things like shopping and saving money for instruments and meeting new people and places and then aiming to become good musicians someday with concerts here and there. It came out while hannah montana hype was waning down so I legitimately hoped disney would pick up k-on to keep music and new young vocalists still in disney's recycle bin.
>I've seen a lot of porn of her so it must be based on a show about sex
I want you to think about what you just said and all of the shit it doesn't apply to.
Define kids show.
There is no official "ESPN Canada"; its Canadian counterpart is TSN, owned by Bell Media. There is a Disney XD in Canada, but it's owned by DHX Media and merely license the name from Disney.
>japanese disney import
MUH FAT-ASSED ROBUTT WAIFU!
I'm having the same issues with subs, I heard they're all on Nyaa but for what things are right now, who knows if Nyaa is going to return.
Also don't bother with the dub seriously, there are good and great dubs out there, but Buddyfight's disregards a lot of material that the source created.
If it makes you feel better, until nyaa comes back there's the first episode subbed on youtube.
The only foreign shows I know they air now are Doraemon and Boyster (whatever the fuck that is)
Show from OP will never air if it's centered around girls. I think Kim Possible gets a pass since it's a Disney original and is action centirc
That shit with Stitch the Anime was a sneak move.
They aired early in the morning on weekdays without announcing it and then just dropped it. By the time I heard about it and wanted to give it a try, it was gone.
Yeah. Go to Walt Disney World in Florida and there is a whole ESPN Sports park.
If by "foreign" you mean anime SHIT from Japan hopefully never. I get enough of those overs sized anime eyes on this site don't need it to start leaking into my classic western cartoons
Have we learned nothing from that Crappy THUNDERCAT remake were they tried to take classic American characters and redesign them to look like watered down anime shit.
Disney called Frozen their new Disney classic in a few tv ads
