She thinks he's cute? She likes his energy and lack of inhibitions? He's the kind of "bad boy" her father told her to stay away from? I dunno. At any rate, she doesn't seem to be obsessed with him like Mordecai was with Margret. It's a mild crush at most. She gets annoyed with him and pays attention to stuff she cares more about when she's with him.
Raccoons are cute as shit. And even though he is a little asshole when it comes down to it he will do anything for his friends
>Rigby and Eileen's romantic involvement has followed a more realistic and fulfilling arc than any of Mordacai's relationships
>It all happened in between episodes
It's not really that weird considering the show is about bum losers fucking up and summoning the manifestation of some 80's pop culture thing that wants to whoop their ass. It's really not an ideal platform to show romance, much less realistic ones.
I used to be many of those but trust me I didn't attract women. Maybe the bums you see with lots of chicks actually have charm or confidence or something? Or maybe they just look good.
I don't think Rigby would be considered a "bad boy" by most fathers. He's mainly just an extremely-single bachelor who doesn't seem to give a fuck about anything aside from chilling with his bros. Less "bad boy", more of an "extreme slacker".
I do respect his not-giving-a-fuck attitude, though. Motherfucker doesn't care what you think, unless you're a good friend of his.
What the writers make her see.
>The romantic arc we haven't seen is more interesting and realistic than the ones we have
Somehow I doubt it. I get the feeling that if we did it'd be just as boring as CJ and Margaret.
There episode in which CJ and Mordecai have to babysit Thomas, Mordecai calls Rigby on the phone to try and rope him into doing it for him, and Rigby reluctantly admits that he's currently on a date with Eileen. Mordecai questions and him and Rigby screams at him over the phone and hangs up.
He's a problem/mess she can fix, Some women like a challenge but then she'll move on.
I like that Mordecai and Margaret didn't work out, Who actually meets long term partners and a rock concert?
nice click bait bro
There was this thing inside Rigby when he turned into a house that one time
HAH!! Nice. I totally missed that. Hes also gone on many double dates with her, he says he likes her with her glasses off, R's VA says his favorite VA role he ever did with him is in season 6, also hes been alone in Eileen's house watching a movie with her
After reading this entire thread I am convinced the regular show fanbase on /co/ is worst than on tumblr. You're a sick zoophile freaks that don't deserve to live. You make me ashamed to like this show.
I'm a rl rigby. Someday I will commit suicide. They will bury me in a shallow grave, unmourned, lonely and forgotten.
Not a good thing to have hanging over your head. It's why ya gotta live in the moment.
Fair enough, but I'd like to see it in more than hints and shadows.
Even if weir stuff happened, they could still end up together... since it wasn't that weird stuff that ever thwarted Mordecai's relationships. It was himself
>watching regular show
>new character named thomas
>oh cool my name
>watch Thomas episode and expect big things from him
>mfw what happens
Thomas Fights Back was nice.
Season 5 isn't even over yet. Although, I guess Video 101 would be among it. Because it's Eileen's first time as the protagonist of an episode.
You know what would be nice? A neat montage of Rigby and Eileen's interactions over time, from the first episode where the two interact in some form or fashion to the latest episodes where they're within three
inchesof each other.
*top 3 episodes for you of season 5 thus far then
would that have been a better way of wording it? alright so at least one of the 3 is Video 101 but what about the other 2 epsiodes?
hmmmm very interesting indeed. from your list, Take the Cake had a (well who gives a fuck about these people but the staff takes them seriously as well as the media) pretty bad rating, in fact I think it was possibly the worst rated episode of season 5: http://www.avclub.com/tvclub/regular-show-take-cake-206784 but that aside, nice choice of episodes.
All the episodes had something about them that broke the usually routine of the shoe that I thought stood out.
In Take the Cake's case, it was them not being responsible for breaking things for once. Which I think has happened before, but it does so seldom that it still sticks out.
And it wasn't even a particularly interesting cake outside of structure and size. It was just a normal cake by the looks of the baking. No special filling or flavor additions or anything.
>take the cake
No, just no. That was just a copy+paste episode, literally nothing we hadn't already seen before (except maybe the ending but that didn't make up for it) and no redeeming qualities whatsoever (again except for the brief moment at the end)
no i agree... the ending could have been shitty but it was pretty cool and funny what happened in Take the Cake. all social media aside and what 'they' say, I agree 100% with you. Another great episode that broke format was The Post Card and The Return Of The Mordecai And The Rigbys. Both were great.
good thing I dont like anything sweet. I hate candy, chocolate, sweets, but I like everything spicy and I admit, when they get wings or something that goes with spicy food on Regular Show, I go out of my way to get it. I did that for the Every Meat Burritos episode (got Mexican food) I think the same thing with Wall Buddy (chimichangas). I like beer too. When they showed this scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXGciwOfoi0 I laughed so hard I went to the liquor store to buy a 40oz of Bud Light and drink it out of a paper bag. It was also the very last time I drank a bud light which was about a year ago to the date
It's almost become a joke how many different ways they can allude to beer without having beer.
>no, benson isn't drunk he just had too many wings! He went into a food coma. And drove. while in a food coma.
thats a shitty cop out. I wonder if they got busted for season 4 and 'chillin' (see >>64505523) because at that point it was too obvious what 'soda' was so maybe they made 'wings' alcohol. it was pretty funny to see Benson about to chug 'something' out of a pitcher on Gold Watch then they showed it as wings inside the pitcher but it doesn't make sense. 'soda' as beer, and 'wings' as something else like say mushrooms would have been better. tree bark is obviously
dimethyltryptamine/DMT as seen on Survival Skills
>Mississippi Queen, If you know what I mean
Generally cartoons fuck up primary relationships to the point that people grow to hate them. So the only ships left are secondary relationships that haven't had enough screen time for the writers to fuck up, these ships tend to be oddly popular because it gives creative types the chance to fill in the blanks.
However there is one type of primary relationship that tends to be very popular with shippers, and that's the relationship between relatives. And the reason it's popular is pretty obvious, you have two characters who are around the same age and who care for each other and depending on writing might even look like they're flirting but they lack the pointless relationshit drama cancer that infests so many cartoons.
I heavily suspect they are alluding and hinting to big stuff that is to go down in Season 6 based on what has happened and in this comic. I was not aware it was out, Thanks for this, it also confirms my suspicions. Also,
why did you drop rank in a week?
And happy 'SUPER MOON' tonight for those who are aware and are fortunate to be able to observe it this evening!
Whoops. Forgot about that. For being a worrywot, basically.
Actually, Strejlau, the main artist for the comic, said on her tumblr that Lewis is trying to push the comic into a new direction. But not exactly where. I figure she might try to integrate it into canon.
I#m still hoping there will be an Eileen 6 issues mini.
Dr. House was also as predictable and it lasted 8 seasons and was amazing.... your point is?????????
Hah and now you magically pick up rank... okay...
Strejlau did the annual, right? I need to pick that one up too but I've been waiting for that Eileen/Minty Lewis issue. I knew that one or both of them were on backorder.
I did see parts of that Skips 6 part issue on sale at the comic book store. An Eileen one (in 6 parts or such) would be cool.
It is all but obvious (based mostly on Survival Skills) and what has been seen that they are pushing forward agenda secretly (via the comic or the like) of what is to come. It is welcomed though. Looks like the comic will be
a way for the fans to buy into of 'what is to come' and the canon...
It really wasn't though. The drama was very well written, and that was the whole point of it. The medical mystery portion may have been formulaic but it was also medically incorrect half the time, so nobody could have predicted it.
I liked how I was sitting watching that one Halloween episode where Thomas loses the bet at the end and must wear his pizza costume until thanksgiving dinner.
The whole thing happened as just a last second episode gag, but I was surprised to see that in the next episode he makes a cameo IN the costume, I think that was a really nice touch, and I actually chuckled. I was not expecting that.
Regular Show actually does have alot of little moments like that. They just need to get better plots.
he has a few fans with (somewhat) medical degrees. few friends in med school, one dentist is a big fan of him. me i have degrees in something he said he wanted to do but wasn't good at so its interesting
The fact that she's able to see Rigby without having to arch her head all the way back as a minimum precaution to avoid smelling his junk like she'd have to with everyone else in the show.
Well, she's not exactly a sex bomb, so she's not going to be high-maintenance, and neither she nor Rigby are primarily motivated by romantic or sexual impulses. She finds him charming and fun, I suppose. Probably see in him the same thing that Mordo sees as a friend, but due to gender gap, it has a romantic component.
He's emotionally stunted, though, and she's not pushy, so the relationship will develop at a snail's pace, which it has. Recent episodes have explicitly stated that Mordecai and CJ's relationship has pushed Rigby out of his "bro" comfort zone, so he's spending more time with her.
The real question is, what would a long-term relationship be built on?
The BRILLIANCE of Regular Show and their upswing towards the top...
They need to do more episodes on mordecai dumping rigby to do more adult things and slowly bring it up more and more and have the ending being rigby in a dimly lit room crying curled up on the floor alone.
BREAKING NEWS (A HOWARD STERN EXCLUSIVE)......
guys check this out... it was just on fuckbook from the official RS page. they are now claiming that 'Mordecai is going to have to break up with CJ' because he deletes his Couple Corral profile... looks like 'that' will be the enemy or problem he faces and not Margaret afterall...
Well, that's certainly a surprise. A bit.
>YOU DELETED YOUR PROFILE
>THAT MEANS ALL YOUR RELATIONSHIP GAINED THROUGH US ARE NULL AND VOID
I guess? If she doesn't show up, maybe Margaret will return in season 6 then. Or 7.
if they were to do an ending, Its not likely it will more than likely same with adventure time be the next spongebob, But i pray that they do not, They need good endings but iv rambled on how do you think regular show will finish.
did you ever look up to Muggsy Bogues? He was 5'3 (I think the shortest player ever to play in the NBA) and he could still dunk. He was pretty badass
Ugh, I don't know... Mordecai goes back to art school? Or gets an art-related job? Something to indicate his life is moving on. And his relationship with CJ progresses somehow. I very much doubt it'll end in marriage...
Rigby's ending will be more open-ended. Like he's moving on with life, but has less direction.
There that's my guess.
