I can never image Joker having sex. That said, I don't have a problem with it during the rare moments when Joker actually cares for Harley.

I mean I get that DC's running out of ideas and they have to edgelord their way through pop culture to stay relevant, but the way he's written lately makes me uncomfortable.

I always thought the Joker deliberately witheld sex from Harley to keep her desperate and obediant. He certainly has no physical interest in her, at least in B:TAS, but he knows how to play her emotions like a fiddle. She'll do anything for the merest hint of affection from him, and he can exploit that to the fullest.

Joker and Harley have always had a creepy abusive relationship, dude. From the very beginning of the character, she was basically the Joker's battered wife. Did you not get that? Harley's not really supposed to be a character in her own right. She's a side character to the Joker, and never works outside of that role.

I can speak from experience on that one, I'm working on training my GF to trance out like an air headed bimbo when I want to make her docile and obedient. I can see it being uncomfortable but that's the point.

Joker and Harley have always been implied to have had sex at least once or twice since DCAU. Though he probably isn't nearly as interested in it as she is, so he likely uses it as a manipulation tactic.

To be fair, that actually does make sense. That logic has been skirting around my mind lately as being pretty reasonable.
I mean, if they want Joker and Harley to be this way, I 'm not complaining THAT hard. It's only my opinion. But I'm willing to go along with the idea so long as it makes some modicum of sense

In TAS, I found it about as creepy as any clown sex. At least Joker was still a human in that one. If it's the edgier "holy shit, gais, he's such a monster you don't even know" versions, yes, it's way creepier. I can imagine TAS Joker eventually occasionally being interested in sex, but not irredeemable-killing-machine-Joker.

I'd say that at the very least the DCAU/Arkham-verse Joker would enjoy sex every now and again. He was completely batshit insane, sure, but he was still a gangster through and through. Just because he likes to rustle Batman's jimmies doesn't mean he can't enjoy things people in similar positions of power would. Does no one remember Joker's Millions? I kind of think Arkham Joker is pretty similar to DCAU Joker except he's a bit more darker and morbid. That's pretty much the whole arkham universe in a nutshell.

I don't think they're similar at all. DCAU Joker acts like a human. Most of his crimes make sense. He'll occasionally do one just to fuck with Batman, but he'd usually rob banks or things like that. He's a halfway point between the early Joker and the modern one. Arkham is modern Joker through and through. He's basically a terrorist, not a gangster.

I recently read the entirety of the Harley Quinn stand alone series from 2001 or there about, and it was better than I expected it to be.

From what I could gather is the Joker and Harley definitely had a sexual relationship, but it was definitely more one-sided and seemed to be something Harley was more interested. Later on when she becomes increasingly involved with Detective Bishop, the Joker does display jealousy. In his own twisted way he does care about her, but in that run, he actually seemed to care about her very little until that point.
