After all, what's happier than a little blue cat?
Tomorrow's Episode: "The Gripes"
- No preview clip (wonder if they're doing that every other episode) so to make up for the lack of something to chew on have these...
Early Reel (Pilot)
Lewd Thread: http://boards.plus4chan.org/pco/t165885.html
> The Fridge
That was the episode that shattered Gumball's innocence and has made him a dick ever since.
It was also the episode where nicole turned into a hyper competitive nutbag.
Also we got another Parrappa character. Can't wait for the issue when they go to the flea market
I apologize for taking so long. I'm cooking at the same time. Also fuck captcha
You could have just been like "Yo gumball thread" or "Gumball thread" or "We hate our lives so let's discuss the only thing that brings happiness in it."
> Gumball will never call you Aniki.
proto-gumball was a black ghetto cat in a correctional school
Then why does it always have to pander to Carrie? Nothing against the character, I just want to see the other girls get love too. Even more Tina, Sussie, Carmen etc, would be good too.
the early show designs were pretty swell
i just noticed she's still not wearing the badge, damn
Now I want an infinite crisis Superman type pic of Gumball, Proto-Gumball, Early Reel Gumball, Rule 63 "The Job" Gumball and Chowder.
>Tobias being beaten
Fighting game with 6 players and 85 characters
Nicole being a cutie once again
Every issue they deliver a bit more
>they know about that SFII ken/ryu low kick
You could take away a quarter of the bar in a second. It made my brother habitually block low after a jump.
Why in the fuck would they change that.
Sure, new Richard can be very funny when done right, but this guy's design looks a bit more likable.
And makes a whole lot more sense being with Nicole.
too hard to write i guess.
he reminds me a bit of Dexter's dad, kinda depressive but with neurotic bouts, looks like a guy who dreamed of working in some kind of artistic career and just didn't cut it.
he looks like a proper loser instead of an overgrown manchild.
What if he was actually successful?
Or makes decent cash doing something that isn't necessarily ambitious, like being a jingle writer or a comic colorist.
There's no way to know what his character would have been like.
It was the writer's excuse for forgetting Nicole's rainbow factory pin. Remember when it blew up in "The Fan"? She wasn't wearing it out of solidarity while it was being rebuilt.
Yours would be too if you were a horny little slut catboi.
Current Richard serves as a reason to why they are poor and also as another kid but that can do things that kids can't like use a credit card and drive.
Also he is warmer than the violence prone Homer. Richard is a softer homer.
The faces in this comic just kill me.
Most of Gumball's girl classmates, follow this formula.
>Acts bristly on the outside and has a quirky character trait, but is nice on the inside
This applies to
You could take the idea of being paper, and explore it, just like how Carrie's ghost powers are examined.
>changing your shape
>slipping under doors
>adventures inside books
This could be done with the other girls too, by the way.
>Masami is a cloud
>Cloud made of water
>Masami could turn into mist, pure water, or ice
Well, she threw up Rainbows. I have no idea how Masami processes food. Like how Alan somehow converts food into oxygen.
Not even sure if she'd bleed blood. Unless when Masami puked, she was puking up her own blood
It's interesting, that some of Gumball's classmates are non-humanoid in shape. I'd imagine that that girls like Teri or Masami, might want real body, just like how Carrie would like one too.
Into more food. Like Banana Joe eating a slice of pizza, would be able to turn that into more banana, replenishing himself
We don't even know if she has the digestive system for that.
I don't have my mind in the gutter
>Gumball's classmates are non-humanoid in shape
Yeah I was briefly considering doing a big nude beach or skinny dipping down at the ol' watering hole type project. But really there's no point.
Anyone else catch this frame, they forgot to animate the orange guy's face
The family are the main characters, so they're going to be used the most. If anything they've actually done episodes interacting with a lot of students and side characters like Larry. It'll have two more seasons, so Ben is lucky he has characters he hasn't touched deeply yet
What if Teri mother is a non-paper bear and her father is this guy?
This explains why Gumball and Darwin were scared of her photo without making her awfully ugly.
Every other character has a legion of fans claiming their waifu is misunderstood and insecure and girly on the inside and depressed and what have you, but Tina's entire role is nothing but that.
Yeah people only like Jamie because she's looks kinda like the cliche tomboy but she's nothing like that personality-wise.
I get ticked off by how superficial fans are sometimes, that and the lengths people go to make everything depressing, like if they didn't want to watch a kids show but couldn't get into normal TV.
Jamie has an extremely underdeveloped personality. Tina, Carrie and Penny have had several episodes cover them.
Jamie's episode was only tangentially related to her. She deserved an episode like "The virus" that would characterize her as well as Teri.
The only Elmore girls that get regular speaking roles are Penny and Carrie. Teri doesn't get a chance. However, she did get at least say "Hello" to Anton
Every episode with Penny shows fuck-all about her, though. Not the date, the knights, the party, the flower, the GI, she always says something nice to gumball and then the scene ends. She averages as a mechanical plot device
Penny's personality is that she's Gumball's crush and she's nice.
The most interesting dynamic for Penny is with her father. Because with Gumball, it's stuck in an awful status quo.
good idea...been wanting to do some teri..plain and simple..will start
also new to sai so wish me luck ppl
...here i go
Hopefully learning new programs is easier for you than for me. I tried to make a 10 second flash animation for my YouTube channel, only using a few very simple movements, and that shit took me two days.
Well, I don't remember how many hours I put into it. Was quite a while for what the finished product was. Though the fact that at one point linear gradients just stopped working for no reason didn't help me.
>Masami could turn into mist
Her grandma already did that.
Nobody realized it, except Gumball when she told him about her problems.
She lives a shitty live. Her home is shitty, she's never owned a toy before, her dad is a monster, she's not as pretty as she wants to be, boys hate her, she doesn't know how to interact with friends, she's not flexible enough for cheer, and she's treated like a monster more than a person.
Being Tina is suffering.
>tfw not EST timezone master race
new episode when?
Gumball never gets enough hugs.
Malls are nothing but sad anymore.
Japan is really digging this new generation of toons.
You're still in a Gumball thread though, discussing in it, which means you're still in the fanbase.
Now let's just go back in talking about the show.
How will Gumball make his first move with Penny to take her out on a date?
Season 3 has given some subtle implications that their relationship is already going somewhere, so he might have already done it.
If not, though, my guess is an off-key song with his ukulele.
And how so?
If Gumball suddenly got the balls to do it.
I think it implied that they were already scheduled to hang out at the mall with Darwin like the kids they are or somehow.
Makes me wonder another question, what would prom be like for the class?
"Toons" have developed quite the subculture in Japan though I wouldn't quite compare it to the Western Anime fandom.
We questions now.
What would the class be like in high school?
>Gumball will still be a sore loser but gets to drive the other family car for him, Anais, and Darwin going to school
>Leslie will become an open homosexual
>Masami still being a bitch
>Sarah being the tumblr nerd
I'm not creative enough with these.
she was strangely okay with going out with him in The Date and then in the comic she lets him ride her pretty easily.
it does seem that she likes him more than the rest of the students.
>I like to think Teri would be dating
other girlsat this point.
>Tina would still be really sad, probably lusting after Gumball as he matures physically.
>Tobias would be gradually going insane from the realization of how much he sucks.
>Carrie would act cool as usual but start to get flustered around Darwin.
>Banana Joe would buckle under the pressure students start to get around that time.
I'm not claiming anything dude, I'm just saying that's what the other anon is referencing. Even then the reference doesn't make sense because it was just a brief layoff while the factory was rebuilt.
So what expectations do you have for tonight's episode?
Mine are modest, seems like an episode with alot of angst and pathos. Lot of Gumball and Darwin suffering as the focal point of the humor, which, there's nothing wrong with, but I don't see the episode doing much for fandom buzz. Then again any episode not dealing with the school setting doesn't seem to stir as much interest anyway.
my erection couldn't get huger.
I.. I have an urge to draw bara porn of these two
Maybe she should change her name to something else like Candy.
I feel like she is an extremes person. She doesn't get a little angry, a little competitive or a little violent. Just like my mother.
>the concept of sad gumball.
Gumball's suffering is canon
>Anais is already pushing the edge of unlike ability.
>I'm an unemployed man with three kids; of course I'm a millionaire!

Because to them a dog isn't a pet, it's a lawn ornament/status symbol.
The same way they think covering their bodies in tacky tacky tattoos is a worthwhile expenditure of what little money they have that isn't on their food stamp card.
I can't say until I've sat on it awhile.
It seems really meta. It was cool when it was a surprise like the sweaters but now its happening all the time.
Either its a great episode like 8-9/10 or its an omen the series is about to jump shark. Not sure which.
They should just stick to a single plot next time and avoid these little sub-plots that eat up time.
It's just like AT where they try to do a lot of things in a single 11 minute clip and everything goes by really fast.
I don't see why the original VAs had to be replaced. Yeah they sounded different as hell, but it still fit the characters pretty much. Aren't they gonna have the same exact problem with the new VAs in a couple years? I just hope the boys leaving the show was a mutual decision.
Many people (myself included) thought she was going to turn into an obnoxious know-it-all cunt like Lisa Simpson because she was heading in that direction during season 2.
Fortunately she acts more like a little girl her age this season and stopped being a cunt.
I like how she's having more interactions with Richard, she doesn't come as "mom's favorite" like some people were worried about. Also while some people disliked that she and Richard got a side focus on the episode, I think it was good, else you get the "these characters live in the same house but they never do stuff togheter" that can happen when a cartoon focuses only on the main characters
I didn't like the free comic day Gumball comic, but wow I actually am surprised at how ... Joyless the comics are. There's like, bright colors and happy faces and cartoon hijinks, but nothing funny happens, it has what I would call cringe humor, and the same non-endings the show does sometimes.
I am disappoint
It felt like a long episode of sorts because they swtiched between them, wich was necesary so they could show different things happening without wasting time between each other. The marketplace scene felt long because of that, and if we had it in one go it would've felt tedious
so the moral of the episode is If you quit playing video games and go outside you could make a lot of money!
Tyson does a great job, but they should get some help from the show writters
I'll get the fucking shirt some day I swear
Cartoon Network licensed out the rights to books to some third-rate publisher. They didn't even ask Ben about this book idea.
I'LL SAVE YOU ANON! Or not.
Yes, even SFW artwork, weren't you here during the last 3 episodes or so? there's a janitor lurking Gumball threads and deleting everything in them and doing nothing to this >>63934277
I seriously think that there's an autist who wants these threads deleted, and keeps posting the same few Sunibee pictures over and over again, just to get janitor attention down on himself
