I've gotten to the point where I'm going through the week without a drink.

Problem is I'm feeling good and I tell myself that I'll keep it up but when I finish work for the week I inevitably find myself excited to finish work, looking forward to a drink and buy a bottle on the way home.

I was drinking a little over half a handle a day (often the same stuff you've got in your picture there) for a few years. Had a job where I had to travel all the time, so it was really easy to hide how bad it was getting from everyone but the motel staff at the places I stayed.

Lost my gf, house and job as a result. I've been staying with a friend and got a new job since (a much shittier job), but I'm still getting my life together. Sober 210 days now though. I was very hard for the first few months, but now, it's honestly quite easy to keep it going.

I just started a fire pit in my back yard and threw everything that reminded me of 2016 in there and watched it burn. It's almost like it never even happened. It was really cleansing. Now I understand how those pyromaniacs get started. Fire cleans everything people in case you didn't know. Just be careful about plastic because it really stinks.

but its weird I only get it around my chin area almost like a dry skin goatee

-inability to sleep
-weakness in legs

Yeah, I think it was the fact I just didn't get the impulse, since I have very, very bad impulse control, I sometimes get the impulse to just go get chips from a store, and I'm out the door in a minute. I'm surprised it hasn't come on very strong yet for alcohol, but time will tell.

The boredom is the worst, next to insomnia. I fired up some old vidya I used to enjoy to keep myself busy (I love grand strategy) and today I had my first workout session at the gym, which hopefully will be a new habit.
If I wouldn't live in a metropolitan hellhole I would go outside on walks, maybe even hiking. But you got to find things that YOU enjoy doing so I wouldn't know.
Maybe look at the "past you" and try to get back to your old hobbies? I literally had none that didn't involve the computer or drink/drugs.

Wouldn't worry about it tbqh. I have alc neuropathy in my hands and feet. It feels like being stabbed repeatedly with glass 200 times a day, but hours of inconsequential 'pins and needles' aside, the pain lasts for like 1/2 a second each time. I barely even think about it.
The incurable brain lesions I have on the other hand, which are taking my eyesight, those suck.

Lots, and for decades. I lost the sight in 1 eye overnight in 2012 and last time I frequented a neurologist (don't even bother any more, cbf) I was averaging another 3 lesions every 6 months.
