>people tell me Corelle plates poverty tier
>you're supposed to use these heavy porcelain plates from department stores or Crate and Barrel, anon
Why do people do this?
What's wrong with cheap, light, and sturdy?
Porcelain has a bigger lobby I guess.
paper plates master race
no washing dishes > feeling a little elitist about your fine china on a chinese cartoon image board

1. Paper fibers get in your food.
2. Purchasing disposable plates to throw away over and over again because you're too lazy to do dishes is pretty silly.

Buy Chinet or heavy duty plates.
But yeah, the value paper plates are garbage and basically turn into a paper towel.
Corelle is a technological marvel, but culturally we are still stuck with light = cheap. Thicker stoneware will also store a bit of heat but that's about the only advantage I can think of.
>Crate and Barrel

Corelle is fucking awesome. You'd have to be insane or, like, the WASPiest family in Bedfordingderbyshire, Connecticut not to use Corelle daily. A white Corelle plate is literally the be-all, end-all of cookware. It's perfect in every way.
Look at this bowl. If bowls were birds, this would be a swan.

It'd be a new york pidgen. A basic bitch of birds to match your basic bitchnof plates.
Potter here. Although Corelle dishes are pretty boring aesthetically, they are functionally perfect. Respect for the science.

Corelle is amazing. Durable and easy to clean. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The only thing is that they have all these different patterns and styles. It's hard to buy the same exact plate or bowl again if you broke/lost one. As long as you buy them all at once, you're good to go.
