If I dried out corned beef would it become a form of jerky and remain safe to eat?

It would become disgusting, but yes it should be same to eat for a short time, don't expect long term freshness unless you salt it though

Thanks I really love dried meats and I love corned beef so I was wondering the combination would be possible

Yeh, good hiking snack/on the go munchie, hope this project works out!
What does corned beef taste like, soft jerky?
Americans always associate it with Ireland, but I've never had it
>>7339373
It kinda tastes like Ireland
>>7339312
Remember that just letting it sit to dry out isn't the same as making jerky
You have to literally suck the moisture out of it to at least 1% water content
>>7339535
Yes good clarification
>>7339330
Just make corned beef hash, lad
Frying it should make it dry enough for you, shouldn't it?
>>7339373
It's a bit hard to describe. Just imagine what beef would taste like if it was brined with corn and that's about it.
It's really fucking good.

To clarify, the only corn in corned beef are the corns of salt. It's not made with wheat, maize or any other kind of cereal grain.
