This is like fried pickles. A kind of novelty for fun and not really that awesome. Bacon needs to brown and render fat, not have all that sealed up inside of a shell, to steam and be gross texture.
I've had this at a place in Snook, Texas. But they are smart enough to use very thinly cut bacon so it's not as much of a greasebomb as one might think. Definitely novelty-tier though.
