clarified some butter and bought some rapeseed oil. no regrets so far.

It looks rather strongly green in color so that makes it obvious that it's not been refined. Therefore yes, it will taste like avocado.

It's cheap as fuck at costco and is better for you than canola/veggie oil. It is refined, and has a smoking point over 500 or something. It doesn't taste gross like corn oil, and is actually pretty tasteless. I keep avacado oil for casual/high temp stuff, evoo for dressings and breads.
