Time for a cook-along, I will be making a chicken stir fry, here are the ingredients
>>7317255
thats a lot of dishsoap for your stirfry. every recipe i see recommends only 1 brand
chopped them up
>>7317258
have very small counter space, have to make it count
Wok heating up
bell pepper
onion
also, when people do this do they actually do it in real time, it seems very inconvenient
ginger and garlic
>>7317271
they probably don't cook the ingredients separately
the star of the show, some chicken breast I marinated overnight in:
Lime juice
Rice vinegar
Ginger and garlic
Oister sauce
Dark soy
Sichuan pepper
Some fennel seeds I toasted and ground up in the mortar
>>7317277
If i cook them all together its harder to get the right consistency also they overcrowd the wok, my heat source isnt very strong, they would boil in their own liquid
Soaked some of the excess marinade
>>7317288
that brings us to this moment, I forgot to start heating the water for the noodles while I did the rest, posted this while I wait, will post the rest soon
here is the next batch
These noodles were a mistake, the store I went to was all out of asian noodles and I just got some fine ones, way too starchy and the flavour didnt really work with this meal
the sauce, pretty much the same as the marinade with some added coriander
all in the wok it goes
>chicken stir fry
>noodles
>noodles which were meant for some clear broth soup or some shit
You want egg noodles you dum dum
the final product, it was pretty good, will never use those noodles for this kind of dish again, otherwise it was a success
>>7317388
i know that, I usually get those but the store was out, Its one of those things no one gets here so tyhe stock is very limited, didnt feel like going to the asian/indian part of town just for the noodles
>>7317393
looks good anon. good job
>>7317396
thanks, first time posting one of these, my flatmates werent home so I didnt look like a faggot taking pictures of my food
Nice one!
How much did you cook the peppers and the onion?
Were they like crunchy or wut
>>7317393
>not using scallions as garnish
Other than that looks good op
>>7317445
The peppers were cooked for like a minute or two, i like them crunchy, the onions were softer even though the cook time was similar, I added salt for that effect
>>7317454
there were a lot of things that would make it better, mushrooms, some spicy peppers but i'm kind of on a tight budget and the supermarket I go isnt very big, its ironic, the big city supermarkets are very small here, in my home town they are 3 times the size
I may do another of these this weekend, something typical portuguese so I have an easier time finding and paying for the ingredients
