I already have the seasoning, but I'm looking to see if you /ck/ucks have any tips to make taco meat even better.
Also, I'm doing trailer park tacos (ground beef)
What do, /ck/?
Small cubed potatoes?
ground beef is fucking expensive as shit and its the worst taco meat. why don't you just buy some pork shoulder and braize it for 4 hours? shit's litterally 2~ dollars a lb even in very developed and high cost of living parts of america.
I won't touch pork after a couple days becuase I don't feel like getting botulism.
A pound of cooked ground beef taco meat will last me 4 days, costs $2.79 and is much safer
>inb4 poorfag because you are 100% correct
What makes you think cooked pork grows botulism? You are annihilating any bacteria, fungus or parasite present during a 4 hour braise.
Unless you don't have a fridge because you're poor...
I've been wrong this whole time.
Pork actually lasts longer in the fridge than ground beef.
This is good to know.
That being said I have a pound of ground beef and no pork shoulder. Plus I want ground beef tacos tonight because they are my comfort food, and nostalgia and such.
Its expensive compared to cheaper cuts with bones and such. Stuff that basically requires you either grind it yourself or cook it all day. Also pork is cheap as hell if you buy it like this, its ribeye chops just not sliced. $5.89 for 3 lbs of meat
Sorry bout all the autism op
If you are adding all those spices you don't need the packet. Get some dry peppers and grind those up, or soak em in hot water and remove the seeds. Add garlic and onion, and potatoes too. add some water to it. You'll evaporate it out but not before stewing the ground beef. Its called picadillo where I'm from
