What's your fav cheese? Not what is healthiest, not what is the most expensive or applicable, what is your favourite cheese /ck/?

I'm a Smoked Applewood Pleb myself.
>>
It's not original, but it's true: I love Cheddar. Not that orange shit though, the real deal.

I'm also partial to Colby.

Comte is one that comes to mind for me. I love hard, flavorful alpine cheeses so it pretty much ticks all the boxes for me
>>
Aged cheddar is by far my favorite. It's just so fucking delicious.

Stilton, the God of cheeses.

Altogether out of them all I'd have to say mozzarella. For melting on something or slicing and eating

White or blue? I've only ever had blue Stilton and blueberry white Stilton. I don't which I prefer but I loved them both and would be interested in trying more varieties. Any recommendations?

There is no single favorite cheese for me, but the one I buy that most is sharp white cheddar aged atleast 3 years. The older the better.

I'm also a fan of Stilton, Old Amsterdam Gouda and Parmesan.

I'm looking to try out some sort of cheese with holes in them. The only ones I know are Swiss cheese (which is tasteless) and Jarlsberg (Haven't tried and can't find).
>>
>>7305052
Swiss isn't tasteless and Jarlsberg is fairly widely available. Try a local deli maybe? I don't know what to tell you. Where do you live? Also, really sharp nicely aged cheddar is great. I've had a seven year cheddar a couple of times. Love it. Wish I could get my hands on it more often.
>>
smoked gouda is pretty good.
>>
>>7305087
Never had Gouda smoked, can't wait to try it someday.
>>
Goat is literally the GOAT.

Manchego is also top-tier.
>>
>>7305109
Seconding fondness for Manchego and goat. Cheese made from sheep's milk is pretty rad too by the way.
>>
Kraft cheese squares desu
>>
>>7304120
Jarlsberg for soft for either cracker or soft-cheese melt (grill cheese; Ruben)
Peccorino Romano for hard on pastas or carbonara.
1-2-year aged gouda for medium-hard; on crackers and shit.
>>
store-bought: pepper jack
best ever: shropshire blue

Cotswold.

My grandparents got an entire wheel of it when I was about 5-- and for whatever reason I fell in love with it.

Solid snacking cheese that goes well with everything--- even better with a stout.

>>
Havarti is my snacking cheese of choice
Its cheap, soft and has a pleasant mild flavour
>>
Young gruyere. I prefer that creamy nuttiness that the more aged cheese loses.
>>
>>7305748
Where did you get your Shropshire Bleu from and why can't you buy it in a shop like a normal person?
>>
>>7304120
fourme d'ambert

It was my job as an appentice to do all the cheese plates for pastry section during service. At first I hated the smell of the blue cheeses but I was encouraged to taste them and after a while I really grew to love them. This is my favorite.

>Smoked Applewood
i was a bit disappointed to find out smoked applewood is not smoked and has nothing to do with the wood of an apple tree. it's cheddar with a smoke flavour additive mixed in. Applewood is just a brand name. fucking sham of a cheese tbph
