Being a chaperone isn't actually my job, I'm working on a marketing project with their company and kind of ended up doing this by default since I'm the local guy. I've been helping with translations and cultural differences, taking them places, all the stuff a fish out of water Japanese guy would need.

They're cool guys, relatively young (early-mid 30s), and hanging out with them is fun, but man is it taxing. Communicating is the hardest part, I speak semi-decent Japanese and one of the guys speaks workable English, but my brain still has to work overtime to keep the conversation going, figure out how to explain things, search the mental archives for obscure terms, etc.

The upside is that the roles are getting reversed in a few weeks, they're flying me out to Japan for Wonder Festival, WCS, and Comiket.
