Post your favorite sweet coords and discuss.
I like the mature aspect of this coord, the more muted accessories make it much more toned down but still looks really nice and fancy!
I think my favourite part of this is the huge puffball hairclip, I think it adds a little bit of fun to a really nice, simple coord!
Again, whilst this a really simple coord the red accessories make the print pop, and it's a nice balance between everyday and more OTT lolita/
For me this coord shows that you don't have to go OTT to do something that's fun,and sometimes bright, well coordinated colours are more important than masses of accessories!
This is honestly one of my favourite coords of all time! It really appeals to my love of fairy kei, with the bag and all the pastel colours and magical accessories! It make me want to do more fairy kei outfits using lolita pieces.
Again, I really love the fact that whilst this coord is pretty casual it's still so well coordinated! It might be a bit wierd, but i love how fluffy and low her ponytails are! It makes them look much cuter than if they were scraped up by her head!
I love old school lolita, and this coord encapsulates the look of old school that i love.
Why is she making that facial expression/hand gesture...?
I miss it when Cadney wore stuff like this. In general, I really miss unabashedly cute, pastel outfits. It seems way more popular/socially okay to bash and dismiss sweet now than it did a few years ago. I might have heard or gotten shit for OTT sweet online, but I'd never have people say shit like "I just really hate sweet and find it weird" at meet ups before...
Mis-matched shoes was a definite trend for a while. It's fallen out of favor.
Personally I just shrug it off as someone who was jelly bc 1.) they never were popular when sweet ruled. 2.) their style was ignored in the reign of sweet.
So, I just shrug and flounce onward. Bitter bitches will stay bitter. I guess that's why they hate sweet.
I really love her hair, especially her sidelocks. Mine aren't thick enough/cut widely enough so they look kind of pathetic.
I don't know where to ask this or if it is a valid question but how do you do to put a cardigan or a sweater that has like slim sleeves(?) over a blouse or dress that has puffy sleeves without it looking weird?
This is true. When I first found out about lolita I liked classic the most and found myself really resenting sweet lolitas because their style was the most popular and well-liked. Ironically, just when I started to like classic-sweet, the trends shifted towards classic. I never outright said anything rude towards girls who wore sweet, but now I'm somewhat uncomfortable when I want to buy sweet dresses because I know that I used to mock people who wore them (even if it was in my head alone).
Well, on topic, dumping some sweet lolitas. Though I'd never wear something like this, the cotton candy rabbit is really cute.
I wish there was more twinning. Nowadays it seems to be more "Oh we happen to be wearing the same print let's say we're twinning" rather than planning beforehand.
This coord is so nice because the dress at first might be taken as quite plain, but it's dressed up so nicely as a whole. The wearer's hair is also very pretty.
This is more the sweet I like and want to wear. The atmosphere of the setting + outfit is very nice.
I am much more fond of chocolate prints. I am glad there are more subdued colors of them.
What is your favorite chocolate print and coordinate?
Bless you for making this thread, anon. I was this close to making one myself.
Dumping sweet coords in black. I love how the colors pop on black prints.
also this one. i think i just really like honey cake
in this i like the bright pink bag, i feel like its just a nice statement
How could I go about making a cotton candy prop? I got cotton candy shop last year and since its become one of my fav pastel vomit prints. I'd love to have something like that prop for it
Posting some of my favorites. Sorry if I post any duplicates!
I know it's just a drawing, but I love how cute the outfit looks in it. Want to recreate it at some point irl.
I like that she maintained the lolita silhouette despite being plus size. The iffy pinks are ignorable.
I've never seen this image before, but I've never felt so connected and intrigued. Her bleached hair, slipping socks, and pink flip phone all in the city at night just have this weird and appealing vibe to it. This is a weird experience.
Can drone explain this to me? This coord bothers me so much specifically because it looks like a bunch of trendy AP thrown together. Dream Marine, DDC, and that crown bag? What is the theme? Why did she think those shoes would be ok? I just don't get it.
It seems to be a royalty theme. The dress (Marine Kingdom, not Dream marine) is featuring supposedly royal mermaids and sealife, on crowned shells. The crown bag was released with Dream Marine and matches the tights (DDC tights feature crowns as well) and the royalty theme of the dress. As for the shoes, it was probably because it matches the pink ribboning detail in the dress, but I can't see what style of shoes it is so I can't say for sure whether it matches the theme or not.
The theme being royalty would also make the princess sleeve blouse make sense.
This is full blown ita, anon.
I freaking love Sailor themes! anyone have any other navy/sailor themed coords?
I'd be calling that classic? Or does sailor automatically = sweet? Can't find a worn coord of the dress in this series but there's this
I actually stopped buying sweet pieces in black colourways because of the backlash they have received recently. But I have gotten back into them, because I just find them so easy to coord for either toned down or dressed up looks. So seconding more black sweet lolita coords! Or sweet coorded with black.
