I want to like this but something about it bothers me, and I think it's a combination of little things. Mainly, and unfortunately the green of the dress doesn't feel natural or flattering to her skin tone, nor the yellow, the color palette in general is clashing. Nearly all long lolita capes give you the triangle shape so I'm not sure where you're coming up with the idea that it's not lolita.

I'm not a fan of the coord personally, I hate the floral couch print, specially combined with a tea length dress. But there's nothing really wrong with the shape itself. It's cool if it's not your cup of tea, but to say 'it is not lolita' is a bit much.

If people think it's blocky, it usually means that the color is poorly balanced. For example, there, it is pretty much a white/ivory block sandwiched between two red/dark blocks.
Texture is super nitpick, imo, but if everything looks really similarly textured, I think it can make the outfit look not so great. Especially here, the overlayed skirt with the cutsew seems a bit weird, I think.

If you're upset about the amount of like I got in comparison to coords you like, make sure you like very post you think looks good, comment on it so its bumped and more people can see it. How many likes I get isn't really something I have control over. Honestly I think the main reason I got so many likes is just because it's Christmas and it was a very red coord. Photo quality, man. It's honestly the second most important factor to me other than the actual outfit. Proper lighting and nice background.
