Guys, let's have a quality over quantity thread. The last few threads have been really fast, but the images weren't all that great tbqh. We should post Kyoani Yui and good fanart, not crappy fanart.
Don't mind me; I'll just be here watching to see if trolls take the bait or not
In an alternate universe where Mugi joined the choir club instead of the Keion-bu, removing Yui's chance to join the club, Yui instead joins the school's football club, eventually leading to her playing for the Japanese national team...?
Nah, although cute, I prefer Fuwa Fuwa Yui anyday!
What have you guys named your guitar/other instruments?
Cool! I named my guitar Yui!
Keion cover band with HTT instruments when?
A cover band would be pretty dank.
Funnily enough, I have a Squire Vintage Modified Jazz Bass in Sunburst, and a Epiphone Les Paul Standard in Cherry Sunburst
I have 2 of the 5 K-on instruments down
Cool! My guitar isn't an epiphone/LP so I guess I can't claim it's really keion-themed. In spirit it can be though!
My guitar is still half-new so I'm content with her for now, but I plan to get a bass later too. Do you feel it's very different from the electric guitar? Have you played any Keion songs on it yet?
I'm curious, how big is your Yui folder?
[Note: I played bass before guitar]
Objectively the bass is different, but fundamentally its the same. That said, a lot of the skills are transferable between the two instruments. You'll have to get used to being the support of the song instead of the limelight. The way you play (with your fingers) could also take some getting used to. I've played Samidare 20 Love and Fuwa Fuwa Time on the bass and I have to admit, K-on songs are some of the most fun songs I've ever played. I would definitely recommend the bass to a guitar player who wants to learn a new instrument AND sharpen his/her guitar skills.

Thanks for the input! Makes me more excited to try the bass out sometime in the future! The combined benefit of learning a new instrument and having fun with it, and having a complement to my guitar, potentially combining them. Though it'll have to wait; still have lots to learn with my guitar, and since I got it I completely neglected my piano too.
But I agree Keion songs are super fun - on guitar too! I worked out most of Fuwa Fuwa time, some parts of other songs, and have been working on the Season 2 ep 1 intro too - it's beautiful! I really like having the music playing in the background too as I'm playing sometimes - it's the closest I'll get to playing with them!
Ohhh, nuu-uh-uh baka anon! I'm not falling for the pseudo Ui bait and switch trick, and I've seen it before! I know my girl when I see her, and you're not tricking me into leaving so you can have her for yourself!
