• Create more order in your life. Live by a routine and set goals.
• Exercise at least 3 days per week. Lifting/sports/cardio are all great.
• Use a calendar and stick to it as closely as possible.
• Learn to focus + meditate
• Eliminate any unproductive or time wasting habits (watching youtube, browsing /b/, etc)
• Simplify your life. Work, hobby, socialize, eat, excercise, and sleep should be 90% of your day.
• Get a hobby that isn't excercise or work. If your hobby is video games, expand on that. Create content (guides, videos, etc.) for your favourite game or contribute your skills to an indie game project.
• Read non-fiction, watch talks/documentaries.
The best way to become a more interesting, successful and overall better person is to do more things. Try out hobbies, learn about politics, become passionate about different things, strive to learn and do more. Don't look for arguments and remain open minded. See pic related.
Add things on one at a time to get you more motivated. If you don't already, brush your teeth once a day for a few days, then cook yourself a healthy breakfast every single day, and so on.
A proper sleep schedule is incredibly helpful too. If you're up until 7am and in bed until 4pm you'll almost undoubtedly feel like shit for the rest of the day. If you go to bed at 11 or 12 and wake up at 7 or 8, you'll naturally be more productive and feel better.
Get a part time job in the mean time or take classes at a community college. Your most important task is to figure out what you want to do with your life. Explore different hobbies, there's tons of activities you can pick up on the computer that can turn into a career.
Go easy on the gaming and wanking off. Have a desire to have things, trust yourself you can get them and go get it.
All procrastination stems from how uncomfortable the body feels. Tweak your attitude and be friends with the discomfort. Good luck. The progress might be slow but one tiny step a day, everyday.
I find these threads a little pathetic these days. I mean yeah, learning, focusing, and ect, is really important, but you're just giving out a huge checklist for a person to nihilistically "self improve" with no actual goal in mind, and most of it sounds like progressing to just being another uninterested "adult" with a check list of tertiary things they feel like they should be doing.
These thread don't teach people how to passionate, motivated, or entrepreneurial, or adventurous. They essentially are what wayward teens who found themselves as adults believe what a "sucessful" person is like.
You cant teach someone to be passionate, they have to find themselves what drives them forward, what they really love doing. This thread is more of a "stop being a neet" than "I'll change you"
I realize this is most likely bait but I'll respond anyway.
This thread is just a bunch of resources aggregated for NEETs and people who want more to improve their quality of life. The list that you're criticizing says "Basic recommendations" and that's all it's meant to be taken as.
>These thread don't teach people how to passionate, motivated, or entrepreneurial, or adventurous.
None of these can be taught just by telling someone how, which is why I stress how important getting a hobby is. A creative hobby can teach you basically all 4 of those traits.
>If you're up until 7am and in bed until 4pm you'll almost undoubtedly feel like shit for the rest of the day
This is literally me right now. How2fix sleep schedule?
>want to escape my shitty engineering job and become a software dev
>practice and study nearly every day
>feels like I'm never gonna make it
>keep pushing anyway
such small chips lads
>tfw another day wasted
I was supposed to be studying physics and math, but all I did today was go to the gym, masterbate (edged for two hours), shitpost, and read motivational blogs. I can feel my acne flaring up from all of this masterbation and stress.
Help me brahs. I don't even want to become an engineer. I'm doing it because of the promises of money, but I know that being a plain old engineer will never make me the amount of money I actually want. I want millions, which is realistically only possible from starting a business, but I'm too lazy and beta to take any steps towards that goal, not even thinking up a plan.
