Unfortunately the legal side of things will still be steeply against men for a while. Divorce law and a prosecutors inclination to prosecute rape based entirely on victim testimony isn't looking to be balanced anytime soon and there is too much stigma for anyone to risk championing it.

Therefore women tend to seek to areas where speed of progress (something that can be discussed if we consider the latest "smart" technology) is lower. Such as teacher. Or librarian. Or chemist. Because women are smart enough to solve the equation family + education.
Or women tend to become Bachelor of Engineering instead of Master of Engineering. Partly because it's 2 years shorter. And partly because the BoEs creates practical applications instead of wigging out in tip-of-the-spear autism. Maybe women are more practical than men. The first car trip was done by a woman. And that's nothing to disregard.
