Bonjour!

Until now, I have learned with two free telephone applications: Duolingo and Memrise. I have not watched many films - often, I do not understand what they say.
>Je pense Français est quasiment difficile, mais j'aime apprendre ça. Ce message probablement n'est pas exact! Je parle comme un manuel!
I think French is quite difficult, but I like to learn it. This message is probably not correct! I speak like a manual/textbook!
At least that's what I tried to say. A friendly french anon please provide guidance.
>how long have you been at it?
I started late November last year. I've had time off until mid next month and so have had plenty of time to study. My NYR was to pass DELF B1 by the end of the year... C'est possible.

thats kinda inspiring anon, looks like its paying off, I'm trying to learn passively after work so I'll most likely plug it in as a long term goal and just keep doing what I can each day

The word I put in brackets translates to almost, which is probably not what you were trying to say. I would suggest carrément, which means downright and is probably closer to what you were trying to convey. Otherwise you're not bad, considering French is indeed very difficult.

I 100% recommend duolingo. The computer website has well developed lessons with written notes. The exercises can all be done from a phone but I don't think the written notes are available in the app. Haven't tried the webpage on mobile tho. Memrise is like a flashcard app for vocab. Really handy but not as vital as Duo.
It takes <30 min a day to meet daily goals on both those apps. If I'm bored I do more. Can do it on the train or w.e.
