My line manager agreed to write me letter of recommendation for a MSc course a while ago. I need to upload two of in .pdf format (already got my academic one).
They kept delaying it, I hoped it would be done this week. The deadline for the application is on Sunday, and I am told that:

>But I will miss the deadline, it's important...

And to be fair, this week has been hectic with all sorts of unrelated issues... But still, I am now siting in the office across my line manager... the building closes in 25 minutes....
What do I do? I can't miss the deadline and have my application trashed, I also already paid the hefty application fee....

What MSc requires or even accepts a reference from an employer? I'm applying in the UK right now and thought two academic references was standard.
