Hey /biz/
I run a car tire business in eastern europe(Hungary) and I own a lot of tires that are useless(they are so bad you can't put them on cars). Now things are getting interesting because people started asking if they can take them. They already took 2 truckloads of useless shit tires. My question is: how the hell are they making money of it? And they already spent a lots of money hiring trucks and people.

Collect more and sell them to tire companies in EU or ship them to Asia.
Care to elaborate?

Retread shops for truck tires use tire casings.
Once worn out tires are taken off of automobiles, they are considered scrap tires. According to the Rubber Manufacturer’s Association, there are three main uses for scrap tires: tire-derived fuel (TDF), civil engineering and ground rubber. In simpler terms, we can use recycled tires for playground cover, as building materials, erosion control and even as an alternative fuel. A company called EcoBorder has figured out how to utilize scrap tires to make garden hedging.
