Buy a Utilities ETF, Consumer Staples ETF, REIT ETF, and a Municipal Bond ETF.

Make sure to enroll in the "automatic dividend reinvestment" program. That way, your dividends are used to buy more shares which (with the combination of compounding interest and dollar cost averaging) means a LOT more total gains in the long run.

That being said, split your money between... AEP, T, LMT, DTE, WM
