i deleted my old account that was pending application approval and made a new one
so far its been a day for it to be approved
i called support and they said they wanted my drivers license and social which i gave them but still nothing, they dont want a picture of the physical ssn card do they?
> TVIX up 20% on the first minute
why didn't i buy more at the dip yesterday
>tfw being a new retard to finance
>tfw still managed to pull everything out before new years
The bear is here faggots.
Better than this please ;_;
Big gainz pls, senpai.
>tfw almost enough to start a reg-t margin on IB
how 2 remove red theme in app
green one looks better
Same senpai. I emailed support but they reply so slow. Like 5 days after i sent an email.
What do you guys think of Canadian Solar right now? CSIQ has been dropping a lot for the last week or so. Think it would be a good buy when it bottoms out?
The actually good at stocks anon from previous threads put me on to ETFs, particularly ladu and labd. Biotech up and biotech down. Last couple days ive been playing those two, see the trend and ride it. When it tops out, grab the other one and ride it.
ive noticed that with they are theoretically inverse, its not perfect and when one starts falling hard theres a bit of lag before the other starts rising hard. Observing that i have been making dosh. Also getting a feel for setting good stop limits/losses.
Setting those limits its tough because if youre goingto the moon you wantto keepsetting higher ti chase the price, but in order to reset your limits you have to cancel first to free that stock. Ie you cant sell stock that you already have reserved to sell at some other price. The problem is that there is lagtime between cancelling a limit and robinhood acknowledging that, so you are vulnerable for a period where you can not sell!
If you are conservative and smart (not min maxing as hard as you can) it seems like easy peasy cash. Im goingbto look for more ETFs that have good action to ride against eachother
Also dont listen to be cause im a noob
TFW YOU SOLD ALL SHARES OF SFXE EARLIER THIS WEEK
I told all you niggers to sell. To sell everything no matter how much your gains were. Hope you listened because it's all going down for the next three months. Welcome to Great Recession 2.0
I think the main problem is the meme stock shitposting (ASTI for one) and actual people that fall for it and get discouraged from legitimate trading.
Also the major activity is limited only during trading hours and sinks down until the next time whereas in the chat there were at least three people gathering intel after hours (which lead to checking out TVIX) well into the start hours of the market open because they were up looking at China and Europe Markets crash as well as picking up oil dipping under 30.
Those that wanted more activity went to the chat for that particular reason and unlocked green themes for today.
I'm pretty sure now that we have the ball rolling we can figure out a way to bridge the gap for Intel and chatter between the chat and the generals so we can all make it.
I'm not too availible to be in chats during trading hours, but I'd you brought some of the Intel over I, and many others, would be extremely appreciative.
Guys I'm getting really butthurt.
I just can't tell when a security is done moving. I understand the basics and have made good trades. But every time I buy or sell, the price goes down further than I thought or keeps climbing.
How can I learn proper timing?
As long as you made money, it was a good trade. It's tempting to ride the climb, but if you go against your gut enough times you'll realize that the majority of times you're were right more times than you were wrong. You just don't internalize them as strongly.
I agree with
When you open a position, have in mind the price that you want to close at... and close it there.
I bought QTM at .75 and sold at .82 . It went up to .92 the following day. Was I upset? Not at all. I took my 10% with joy.
My opinion is: take what you can get, and take it fast. When you're playing with fire, don't get burned.
more than half a percent up today.
suck it nerds.
I'm not checking my account for the next month. Too painful...
Tech stocks got hammered this week really badly, and as said, I can't diversify without knowing other industries well and I only know tech well. I am starting to read and understand the bio industry though.
Tech stocks have been getting ass fucked all month. When that happens you drop your tech shit and get on an inverse ETF like SQQQ. NASDAQ gets fucked, you get gains.
a couple hundred to play with today.
zero wait when
Where were you when memes became real?
there's some legitimately good tech socks that are pretty cheap right now though. i wouldn't worry about a tanking portfolio if you know it's coming back up.
TXN is a good example I think. They've been valued near 58 and its been trading for under 48. Good dividends, and they're releasing an earnings report in two weeks which by all accounts is expected to be very good.
I figured I'd just set those symbols aside and try with others and see what they do long term. A couple went down because they're memes, but others went down because a lot of shit went down recently.
It seems like Robinhood's target market is low-value short term betting.
I doubt anyone ITT has held any share purchased through this app for more than 12 months. In fact 99 per cent of you seem like you'd be fairly easy to 'shake out of the tree' so to speak.
>I doubt anyone ITT has held any share purchased through this app for more than 12 months.
The app was released 13 months ago on iPhone and 5 months ago on android so that's a pretty safe assumption.
You seem really smart and insightful.
jokes on them I'm not gonna have an earnings.
I believe they use a kickback system to make profits. They display their prices during the day a little behind so when you buy something you get a preivous quoted price. Ususally that price is higher than what the actual stock is, so they'll get a little kickback on the sale.
So, a stock trades for $100, robinhood displays it as 100.01 (previous price) so you get the deal.
Is this a shitposting bot? Are these memes?
No no guys, don't worry, I got this.
>mfw reading these account approval horror stories
I got approved the same day I applied
did you fuckers have to provide a photo id for account approval?
this is a lot of work just to dick around with pennystock
it's not going to decay a insane amount anytime soon + it offers a high amount of return. lately it's very very similar to the spx and spbio so I've been tracking all three for a week now and it seems like a market trend. the spx is going to tank next week with possibly a rally or two and I'll just rebuy labd those days or dwti

>love $TASR, love
what did he mean by this?
Anyone else doing AMD puts?
The next earnings report is going to be at least -.11 EPS and it was trading for 2.05 AH.
$INTC dropped 4% after Good Earnings report followed by another 7% on Friday sell off.
I can only see AMD dropping to 1.6~1.8 after their Q4 tomorrow.
the trading setup.
btw I know trips can be annoying and they are usually attention seeking jerk offs but this is the first I have tripped. I genuinely just want to help u guys make better trades.
if I need some credibility to prove I'm not some troll giving out bad advice I posted the ticker LEI on here when it skyrocketed, told you guys to yolo on KTOV, and generally just post tickers that aren't ASTI
Is it okay if i suggest you guys short the fuck out of $FBP and drive the price even lower?
ROBINHOOD = STOCKMARKET DAYCARE
I contacted support and surprisingly got a response. Sent them a picture of an ID (though I feel like I should've done front and back sides of it. Only got front).
That was Saturday.
I'm under the assumption that they've been closed since the markets are, too. Otherwise, nothing.
anyone fall for this memester "Timothy Sykes"
I torrented his whole collection, but anyone rich enough here to get his subscription for TIMalerts and help us all out?
>My future is in your hands. Tell me what to go all in in.
Don't do that. I get you trust him and he claims to know what he's doing, and I don't doubt any of you but there's always the chance it may not go as planned. You're literally better off betting on red or black.
>Robinhood makes money in many of the same ways as traditional online brokerages. These include:
>Collecting interest from customers who choose to upgrade to a margin account. We are testing margin in beta and will offer margin accounts later this year.
>Accruing interest from customers’ uninvested cash balances. It is important to note that our customers are not charged.
>Robinhood has raised $66 million from NEA, Index Ventures, Ribbit Capital, Vaizra Investments, Google Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Social Leverage, Box CEO Aaron Levie, Path CEO Dave Morin, Jared Leto, Snoop Dogg, Linkin Park, and Nas
>asking the criminals themselves how they make money
What do you guys think about "MU" Micron? They're partnered with Intel to produce 3D xpoint a new memory technology this year which is more revolutionary than most investors can grasp. Their current value is also very low.
i can't believe this financial cuckholdry going on in YANG right now
daily reminder not to fuck around with communists, they will change the rules of the game mid round and do shit that should be illegal to RUIN YOUR GAINS
I thought the same thing and was a sucker to buy at $14.35. But looking at their Q3 earnings, they at least have some more to fall before going up. They are still dropping at $11.16.
The main thing is that DRAM prices have plunged because supply increased and MU took a big hit because of that. Will take a while like oil for the glut to end.
Can you sell and re-buy same day with Robinhood as long as it's your pre-investment money and not capital? I invested in AMD at $2.87 a share and I want to sell, but if they're going to hold my money for 3 days the whole fucking market could change. I'm losing my ass over here.
if you have buying power you can buy whatever you want, if you have a stock you can sell it whenever you want (except for the pre market and after hours because lol RH)
you will not have BP after selling AMD until 3 days
Not having buying power for 3 days is bullshit. Next time I'm paying for a broker.
At this point I'm forced to stay long with AMD for fear of pulling out right as it goes back up, because if I wait 3 days I could lose most everything I've lost so far for good.
I sure as shit hope Zen and Polaris don't fucking suck... for my sake.
That's what I said when it hit .15. Then it kept dropping. Ascent Solar is severely diluting their stocks because they cannot keep themselves afloat otherwise. Don't bother with them, their time is done.
OH GOD DAMMIT
I literally have been holding this shit ass SHAK for months
I sold it all like a week ago and now it goes charging up 8% in a day what. the. fuckkkk
my price target is +10% today
How do you guys feel about Sony? Will it skyrocket with the new VR Headset coming out this year? This seems like a good price point to get in at. Even a 5% market penetration to existing PS4 owners is still 1.5 million units of the VR. They have a better shot than Facebook (Oculus)
VR will fail.
No one wants to put shit on their face.
Just look at Google Glass' complete failure.
Or the fact that the majority of people would rather poke their eyeballs every morning or shoot lasers in their eyes than wear just regular glasses.
I like to spread my portfolio a bit, so I was in couple stocks today. Nxtd, amda, hh were the three I was in today.
What's your advice on smaller stocks that budge about a cent or two a day? Don't I have to buy a large amount of stock and sell by EOD to even notice a difference?
How do you research/predict movement on these smaller stocks for the day? Or is it mostly a somewhat predicted gamble when you buy in large amounts on these?
I like to buy stocks that move fast in a day, but I dont buy huge amounts of them to stop loss in case that happens, hence I spread my money over different stocks. That helps it even out in case some shit happens.
I do sometimes buy stocks that are slow and buy huge amounts of it so it makes a difference over a long period of time. But I do my research on it before I take the plunge.
My strategy is nothing specific, there is no special secret sauce that everyone claims Lol. I go around reading about what people are buying and what seems legit and what seems like a pump and dump scheme. Also read its PR. I always get in the pump and dump and usually dump them pretty early. Dont let greed take control of you.
I only do penny stocks FYI.
>tfw the price gaps down and misses your stop limit completely
I prefer 'stop loss' over stop limit desu
We're all gonna make it lads. (I rode the NETE train up)
IT WAS JUST A MARKET CORRECITON
THINGS ARE BOOMING
CHINA RECOVERY SOON
DOW JONES TO THE FUCKING MOON
Tomorrow is the last day to buy in this big dip
Thursday is gonna be huge, mad gains on anything you buy tomorrow
If you don't believe me, fine. Just make sure you remember this post on Thursday
I-i didn't get fucked at all... Am i gonna make it?
>mfw I made a +30% return trading meme stocks
>mfw my """""safe""""" index funds are at -20%
after the FREE reverse split last week, I sold everything and decided RH was not for me. I check today to see if funds have settled, and my graph shows positive today. (??) Turns out I have -1 shares of FREE still and it got me .17 today. any idea how I can lose more shares, I think I'm on to something here
Wish I had capital to invest. Been watching JDST for a while now.
Yes you can use a paypal. Its not that there is a certain amount of money required to start but I dont see the point if you have less than a couple grand if you want to make some worthwhilecashes
