Businesses, in order to prosper, require a product to sell. Software is special because once its made once it can be replicated again and again, so the challenge to production is mostly on the front end. You don't really need to worry about spreading half a million copies of your indie game about punching blocks or your website about facing books. You just push it until the zeitgeist grabs hold and doesn't let up until you've got either millions or enough death threats to convince you to back down, as is the case with the angry birds guy.
