However, these qualities in themselves don't create success. They create a predisposition to success- They aren't part of a "master race" because their parents pushed them harder than yours.

People in my life think I'm smart. But during the last year of my masters I was surrounded by people with more discipline who were just as smart or smarter. And they even worked and partied besides their study while outperforming me. I found it very depressing seeing so many smart(er) people while I always thought I was at the top.

But I had spend lots of time on martial arts and video games, which has proven to be very useful in life.

Well the US is a corporatcracy so their universities mimic their society. I should reiterate that, American universities used to be rigirous but they're falling behind alongside European universities. In Europe if you can explain why you got these grades and so then you can be accepted into their grad schools. In the US, you just pay a donation or have a legacy connection and you're in. Of course this is officially banned, but everyone knows this practice continue to this day. He's a model and not working as an engineer, so in essence his degree has failed. Plus his personality is more like /fit/ and /r9k/. I've met models before and their personalities are shit.
