So /biz/ here's the situation. I have a small tile business. I know for a fact that the other tile business in town is KILLING it with google. They are bringing in like 2-3 job leads a week, I think from Google searches, and Google Ads.
I want to do exactly what they are doing. So do I just call Google Adwords line? Pay an SEO guy? What's the best way to do this shit?

negative yelp review and backlinks

So you're saying leave bad feedback for my competitor?
I don't wanna do that, and even if I did, I learned today you can get sued for that.
Mostly, my question is: Adwords, is it worth it, and what should I be paying?

definitely go third party SEO. from what I've seen, unless you have a lot of capital, google will not help you.

If you can post on this forum you're qualified to google "google adsense", sign up and make an ad. Yes its worth it, if its not you can stop any time you want.

This is what I'm thinking.
I called Google today and the first number the woman gave me was fucking $2500 a month. Then 1/2 the clicks plan for $1100 a month.
I was all like, "uh no fucking way, I ain't got that kinda money, and there's no gaurantee this gets me customers".
So finally she gave me her bottom dollar $330 a month which gets me 2 clicks a day. But she said there is zero gaurantee they are even releveant clicks.
So I think im gonna try it anyway, but I guess the SEO would be the better, more cost effective solution.

thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I would gladly spend $1000 a month if I knew it would bring in $5,000 in customer revenue.
