So without trying to "time the market" too much... Shouldnt we buy some shit now while shares are cheaper than they were due to China dragging us down?
I got a bunch of cash sittin around and currently no investments. Does buy low sell high apply right now? pic not related she's just to grab your attention
It all depends on the stock honestly.oil is looking attractive to me, as are gold and silver if your into commodities. Check out mining companies with the price of fuel so low.

a bunch of gold mining companies went up today in the market, if china goes down again tonight it might be a good bet to invest in companies like $GG or $ABX

what about an index fund? cant I get more shares per dollar right now? or should we stuck to individual stocks? Also how long would it take to get set up w/ Robinhood?

because gold is what people will be buying when dollars become useless

Look at ACAD maybe. It got manipulated down so that Baker Bros could get in at 29 a share. But everybody who's really in is in long and didn't sell off. Should climb back up to 40's easy.
If DIS or AAPL hit $90, buy buy buy
Even for the longterm you can buy shares now knowing thwley could drop lower short term

Depends on your goals/strategy
I'd find a long term, short term, cash allocation youre comfortable with and then go from there
Amount of capital matters too. Less you have the less you should be willing to risk.

Sure, this could be a temporary blip and stocks might recover and climb new heights, or alternatively August last year might have been the peak, the recovery in November was false, and now we're in for the real crash. Hell, we might be in for a Japanese-style decade of stagnation. Nobody knows the answer, anybody who says they do is full of shit. Personally I feel like we're due a larger correction and the broader conditions favour one, but coming events could easily prove me wrong.

Are there any patterns in presidential election years?
