Hi, I'm a retarded poorfag that just was given $5000 dollars. What should I invest in? Should I look for something long term? I'm new to this but have been researching for a little while.
>>3330881
$500 in each of the top 10 cryptos by market cap.
Or if you want reduced risk, $250 in each of the top 20 by market cap.
Hodl all of them for exactly 1 year.
Congrats, your investment is now worth 15x what you put into it.
just buy 1 BTC, store it safely in a paper wallet, and leave this place. never return. do not get sucked into the abyss like I did.

it depends on the company. here in vegas they have coinsource machines. for those, you need to provide a phone number, and if you want to deposit higher amounts (in one visit) you need an ID. just get a burner(s) to use and you should be fine

If hypothetically you had $10million+ in gains, what would you do? Sell to "normal assets" or buy other cryptos? Life status: neet;No obligations or expenses.
>>3330864
Convert half to fiat because 5 million are plenty to live comfortably for the rest of your life. Maybe put 1 million in gold if I am paranoid. Buy a house. The rest stays in crypto.
>>3330864
sell half, take it to a private bank, demand 7%+CPI in cash, buy a house and a lambo and travel and shit
let the other half ride; $5m is enough to live on
you can live off interest from 3 mil ez
do what you want with the rest kiddo
What coin do you use to transfer between exchanges?
BTC and LTC are way too fucking slow. Walton has gone up 20 cents and my LTC transfer still hasn't gone through.
Lightning my ass.
I've lost so much profit just waiting on transfers, show me the light, /biz/
there is no lightning network yet. and the coins are arriving much faster than you think. the exchanges just don't let you use the coin until they get an unnecessarily large number of confirmations.
First time on /biz/.
I am a 5th year physics PhD student who wants to start learning about economics since I never got around to taking a class on it.
Could someone tell me a good starting undergraduate textbook but not something too simple since obviously I can handle new concepts pretty fast. Perhaps a intro book for actually economics majors and not something for high school schlock.
Then, could you guide me on what to look into after studying general economics, preferably about money management and investing (stocks and whatnot).
I have 15k in a credit union and 10k in my bank account which makes me a comparative millionaire compared to other people my age (26.5 yo) and my only debt is a car payment I have about 6k more to pay off.
I don't plan on starting to invest yet. I see most of this board is dedicated to virtual currencies (whether it is shitposting or not) but I just want to study what I feel is a very poorly understood field by my generation.
Thanks in advance
put it all in bitcoin.

What does /biz/ think about VERGE (XVG)?
Should i invest all i have on it?
not all, just buy like 500 and hold till it gets close to 1$ or a lil more, if this day even come
Bought 5k. I see this being a $1 coin in the future. Probably gonna be a longterm hold, but it's $30 bucks.
is this really a long term hold?
Nothing is a long term hold in this market but BTC
>>3330762
Right now it's a fucking freefall with no reason to hold. Still sold with profit, moved to DNT which looks like it's going to move up again.
