>Thought I'd start this thread to get some stupid questions answered.
I'm planning to start investing soon, atm I'm just saving some cash before I start buying shares and/or options.
In the mean time I've been doing some research, and getting my head around a few concepts.
I've been looking up Options trading and just wanted some things clarified.
>Call Vs Put Options
1. Is a call option an agreement to buy a stock at a certain price (strike price), hoping that in the future the stock will be worth more in the future? For e.g. Agreeing to buy call option contract where the strike price is $40, and hoping by the end of the contract the actual stock price is beyond $40 and you make a profit.
2. Is a put option an agreement to sell a stock at a certain price, hoping that in the future the stock will be worth less than the agreed price to sell?
If that's the case for the put option, then how does that make sense? So you buy a put options contract (who creates the put options contract anyway?) where you agree to sell the stock at $40, hoping it drops less than the strike price. Does that mean you have to go out and buy the shares at $X (Obviously if the share is lower than the agreed strike price) before the expiration date of the contract so that you can sell them to the person who agreed to buy them off you at a $40 strike price?

Five thousand dollars, credit. Two choices.
A) make a diverse crypto portfolio
B) build a GPU mining rig
C) buy only bitbean
>>3351916
Bitbean isn't worth hodling unless you have a minimum of 2 million in your wallet. Will $5k buy you 2 million?
>>3351916
>GPU mining rig
Enjoy waiting over a year for ROI.
Just buy crypto
Get as much posw with your btc as you can. Masternode is coming to town. Ho ho ho
So who's going to be buying stock in oil companies once prices moon when we go to war with North Korea.
Or when Venezuela collapses, either one will suit me.
>>3351915
It's a good buy if you don't need the money now.
People will hoard oil in a couple of years, I think at least.
A war with North Korea would be over in 30 seconds. Unlike ISIS, North Korea has a clear infrastructure and chain of command.
