This shit right here is why. Everyone was told the housing bubble came about because of all these people owning homes they couldn't afford and it needed to be fixed. It was never fixed.
Now you can get a $200,000 home for a $2,000 down payment. The old 20% down payment rule kept it so that only those that could afford housing and were responsible with their money could pay. Now any retard can buy a home, greatly increasing prices and increasing demand for renters who now see it as the only alternative to not living with their parents.
So the question becomes, when will the next crash happen?

(I posted this on /adv/, but I figured some insights from /biz/ could be good).
I will receive a fairly large sum of money soon (100-200k), money that I won't need in the immediate future.
Rather than invest this is in low-risk, low-reward stuff myself or putting it with the bank, I have a friend who is doing really well with cryptocurrencies and the likes. He's made 100k out of nothing in just six months, so he knows what he's doing, and he's willing to manage my money in exchange for a portion of the profits.
I know it's risky no matter what, since it's a volatile and unregulated business. I am 100% confident in my friend's knowledge, skills and integrity though (not to forget: contacts on the inside). This feels like my chance to make it really big. Losing everything would be kind of a bugger, to put it bluntly, but not that bad. I wouldn't be completely broke or anything.
What do you think? Things to consider before jumping in?

Another hot and sunny day with nothing to do in London and I can't stand staying inside because it's like admitting my 20s are wasted and I'm a social failure. And I'll go outside but feel bad seeing all the Chads and Staceys.
