im a closeted scrub and i might want to participate soon at a furry event but im afraid that most people who show up are fat and/or autistic cringeworthy scum.

im 23, 6'2, 180 lbs and have a sixpack if you squint your eyes. but i heavily doubt that anyone else is on par with me

Dude, the weight shouldn't matter on the cringe scale when the person is wearing a fursuit..
But to answer your question there's actually a pretty good mix of "body types" at cons. I'd almost say a leaning towards skeleton-skinny.
As for specifically the people who post in these threads most are in surprisingly good shape.

Bill Nye has kinda gotten that way too in my opinion. Both of them are suddenly these public figures for topics they really aren't qualified to speak on (philosophy mainly). Like, Tyson claims to be agnostic because he "doesn't care" and yet he goes and calls an entire field of study "useless". But anyway...
