Full Metal Jacket is a great movie, but the first half of the movie is a very different and far more interesting watch than the second half (even though I wouldn't call the second half bad, the difference is clear). A Clockwork Orange I get, it was an exceptional movie. But 2001 and The Shining are true masterpieces that in my mind are two of the few movies that belong to the greatest movies ever, period.

The Breakfast Club. I think that most of my liking to this movie is due to nostalgia, as when I saw it first I was an edgy troubled teen, but it's still my favorite thing in the world.
