What does /b/ think of Life is Strange? As that game is more enjoyable for empathetic beings and this is the shithole of the shitholes I'm actually curious.
I liked it so much I couldn't fap to the r34 for one or two weeks. Never had that before. Now I fap furiously to Chloe and Max tho
fucking incredible awesome game, cant believe they came up with that shit ending
It was comfy but I couldn't play through it twice.
Not because I was so touched but because, even though the game constantly tells you your choices matter, it is the same story no matter what you do.
It has no replay value, has plotholes, characters are idiots but it was pretty and had a nice atmosphere.
Yeah that fucking ending sucked ass. Still one of my all time favorites, even with that shitty ending.
I even bought a physical copy of that game, which I never did before. And I'm 30 years old & have played a shitton of stuff
>even though the game constantly tells you your choices matter, it is the same story no matter what you do.
True, though I really enjoyed the small things and details which you influenced by your decisions. I will probably play it again in some years, but definitely not earlier. It doesn't have that much replay value as you said..
The atmosphere, even just seeing Max lying in her bed and stuff.
But I still agree with you.
Here have another for good measure.
So much yes.
I liked all of them, they did a tremendous job choosing and creating fitting music.
Cried buckets during this one, playing in one ending.
The story is retarded the game is filled plot holes logical inconsistencies. the characters are poorly written and boring. Also max is so fucking annoying I honestly hate this game.
There are also some nice cosplays. But I guess Max or Chloe aren't the most difficult characters...
Still nice to look at.
This isn't a videogame.
It's an interactive movie for faggots who aren't good at videogames and would rather watch Juno.
So what is a good game for you anon?
Life is Strange is fucking amazing, I wouldn't call it as much of a game, more so a interactive story. However a story it is and a fucking amazing one at that. The characters were fucking great, awesome development and had tones of life to them. The small town america setting was also fantastic. I loved everything about the story, even it's BAD ending. It was a good example that not everything can be perfect, that sometimes you just got to loose and not hold on to things. It sure rendered all choices in the game pointless, but then that was the point from the get go. Not to save everything and everyone and Max then goes on to have a happy ever after, more so about her living in the moment, denying what has to come. Also you get ending props if you choose to romance Chloe. Ending broke my heart, cried like a little bitch.
Also not everything was perfect development and story wise, but that's okay, my point isn't that Life is Strange is perfect, but that it's an amazing story and a fantastic experience.
Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Titanfall, The Witcher 3, Halo 5, Geometry Wars 3, Downwell, Shovel Knight, Ori and the Blind Forest, Killer Instinct, etc...
You know, actual videogames.
I'd rather play Sam and Max Hit the Road, Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle, Leisure Suit Larry 7 or any of the classic LucasArts games than this garbage.
Fucking millennials and their shit taste.
>HURR DURR SHE HAS PURPLE HAIR AND COOL POSTERS IN HER ROOM I WISH SHE WAS MY GIRLFRIEND
It's got quite a bit of cringey, 3rd wave feministic progressivism in it... mostly early on, but it subsides to an almost tolerable level after the 1st episode. but if you can somehow get by that, it's a good game.
FWIW Ashly Burch voices Chloe.
Nicely put anon, I feel exactly the same.
I've seen both endings and it seems the one where you sacrifice Chloe is meant to be THE ending for the game. But I still couldn't let Chloe die so for me she lives.
The better ending and a lot more inline with the story is the one where she dies tho. Cried a fuckton.
To bad there won't be a second season with the same characters. Dontnod maybe wants to do another one, but I don't think LiS without Max & Chloe can be the same. I'm wondering what they'll do.
she only had visions/dreams of it. So she probs didn't even know it was actually coming. though, you think even if it was caused by a butterfly effect, some cunt would of picked it up in weather warnings and evacuated the town. oh well, it was there for a purpose.
I've played all of these, even finished LSL7 for the who the fuck knows many times a few days ago.
Still enjoyed LiS a lot.
>>HURR DURR SHE HAS PURPLE HAIR AND COOL POSTERS IN HER ROOM I WISH SHE WAS MY GIRLFRIEND
I'll agree on this one, guess I lot of faggots see it like that. Don't care tho
yeah, I have a sence for narrative so I picked her to die, not that I didn't sit there deciding for what felt like forever.
I think that if dontnod made Life is strange great then they'd be able to do it again with a completely different story.
and even if it's not as good, it's not like Life is Strange will cease to exist.
>I think that if dontnod made Life is strange great then they'd be able to do it again with a completely different story.
>and even if it's not as good, it's not like Life is Strange will cease to exist.
True again. Can't wait!
Has anyone played Remember Me from the same studio?
As far as I read it isn't nearly as good, and somewhere I've read that LiS with its Rewind is like a whole game out of the few parts of Remember Me that were actually good.
Can anyone confirm that?
>If you'd done everything right it woudn't have to even come to the verse. That's what I did.
Yeah I've told her not to go to the police, plus didn't notice that I could erase the slate thingie.
>Next time I'm letting her die. She's a cunt.
Don't inject a sedative into that comment. She was clearly a victim of rape culture.
>tfw you'll never be the lone cock in a polyamorous relationship with max and chloe....
this is why i want to die daily, my ragtime gal :-(
Episode 5 killed the while series. Literally nothing you did in the first 4 episodes has any effect on the endings. There are only 2 to chose from no matter what and they're both very cliché
If they at least had put some closure to the chloe lives end I'd be much happier. But no, they choose to fuck it up.
Before playing the game I got spoilered a tiny bit, only that the ending will be shitty. So I kinda expected something bad.
My game of the year of 2015. even though the ending sucked nigger dick.
I'll interject to say I enjoyed the game immensely... not perfect to be sure, but it was well-constructed to hit emotional notes, the soundtrack was paired beautifully.
And while the last episode had certain parts that seemed a little ill-fitting, the endings weren't. Did they invalidate all the choices you'd been making for the previous 4 episodes? They did, in terms of outcomes, undeniably, you worked and struggled and in the end you can't get a happy ending for your efforts. But to me, the experiences Max as a character, and thus you as a player, goes through do have meaning, and those things do inform what you do at the end, what you decide there is going to be the product of what you've done, even if the decision renders those actual accomplishments irrelevant. Its uncomfortable to realize that last part at the end, but I think it's meant to be that way.
I don't find tis shit hot. Neither do I find it disgusting. It's just meh. Chars were good for the game (apart from the annoying christian one) but they are worthless when it comes to R34
That being said though, I'd fuck the shit out of Chloe.
The game wasn't even goid for empathy. It was a tumblr cringefest. The Last of Us, The Witcher, Dragon Age, and Shadow of the Colossus all to me more than Life is Strange.
Brutal as in you get shot and that health is gone for that round unlike halo shields that regenerate and that you need to be a crack shot with an AK to be a super soldier. People obviously have very different subjective opinions of fun but please explain halo's fun since i guess this thread is about video games now.
Coming from the profligate not using proper capitalization and punctuation.
Sorry, I have big ass hands and sausage fingers, combined with a small iPhone leads to hitting characters I didn't mean to.
Nice projection, rumpranger.
>Chars were good for the game (apart from the annoying christian one) but they are worthless when it comes to R34
This is so subjective it isn't even funny.
Anon have you ever considered the possibility that you might drop your most likely touch screen couple hundred dollar smart phone in the water?
It built a nice atmosphere overall and I think it should be admired for that but the characters acted a little bit irrationally at times to the point where I couldn't really buy them as people.
Plus I'm not massive on these western visual novels or whatever you're supposed to call them, these Telltale sort of point and clicks
You gotta be in the mood s'all. And don't try to beat such a game in one sitting.
Borderlands Tales are complete and utter shit though, as is Wolf Among Us. Telltale can't make telltale games for shit. What an irony.
Because I'm not a close minded faggot who call every game that isn't open world for a "movie".
His porn is the only thing of the Last of Us that I've ever seen. To bad I don't have any console, fuck that exclusive shit.
But I won't buy one just to play a single game on it.
It's pretty good. The choices you make don't really affect anything that much so don't think it will have a lot of replay value. I went into the game not expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised
If you can get through the first 10-20 minutes it's awesome. I was hooked right away, others after said 20 minutes.
Seems hipstery in the beginning, but actually isn't. Darker than one'd expect. But also very difficult to talk about without spoilering. The less informed you go into the game the better.
