Gate was okay, but I hated the second arc where they go back to Japan with the Fantasy girls. It got pretty stupid when the story tried to bring in a Political view to the GATE. I stopped watching when they got into that Hot Springs Shoot Out between two different teams.

Ok fam,
Clannad and Plastic Memories are good for romance and feels.
Overlord and No Game No Life are enjoyable if you enjoy videogames.
Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni and Mirai Nikki are great horror ones with a bit of mystery involved.
Charlotte is also another one on the side which includes the use of powers, similar to Code Geass (which is also a good one to watch)

It has to be my favorite as well, It's the show I've enjoyed the most. It has a brilliant combination of the slow paced and detailed detective work, with fast and heated combat, never lacking tension

I like your list, but you're choosing hardcore anime with good production values and budgets. It'll be disappointing to watch anything else that isn't as well funded as those shows.


I recommend Noragami, Canaan, Cowboy Bebop, Sword of the Stranger (Movie), Blue Exorcist, Akame Ga Kill (last 6 episodes suck), Mirai Nikki, and Bokurano.
