Venus is the hottest planet in our solar system, despite being further from the sun than mercury.
This is due to the large amounts of carbon dioxide in the air, otherwise known as the greenhouse gas.

In 2003 there was a lab in Switzerland that publicized the process of bioengineering synthetic limbs which was originally created for soldiers who had lost limbs during service. Pictures were released as well as a few time lapse videos showing one mans missing leg growing back entirely and proportionally to the other leg. In 2006 this process was abandoned due to a case in which one of the scientists grew a third synthetic arm to pleasure himself during long hours of tedious research. This process would be later named "the golden solution" effect, until the arm gained self awareness and killed over-

wolfgang pauli, the physicist, could produce telekinetic phenomenon on demand, which used to be a horrible problem he couldn't control

he sought out help from siegmund freud and karl jung and albert einstein, among others

this was the start of the rift between freud and jung

jung used it as the basis for the development of archetypes and went in a mystical direction, while freud preferred the middle road even though he always skirted the occult

einstein always considered that this stemmed from basic level physics and spent the entire second half of his life searching for the unified field theorem

he was fascinated with quantum entanglement and believed that dr. pauli's telekinetic abilities actually originated in this phenomenon

not making this stuff up, cars actually blew up on the street and bookcases would explode around this guy until he got it under control with jung's analytical help

all this stuff was really, really well researched and served as the core investigation into poltergeist phenomenon, which was mined later by stephen king and steven spielberg in their books and movies

he called it 'the pauli principle'

he helped jung more fully develop the principle of 'synchonicity'

pauli absolutely believed in the connexion between mind and matter and that it existed ultimately at the subatomic level

his work is mostly in the form of stunning and insightful letters that were widely circulated by his contemporaries

although he did much to support heisenberg, the two ultimately had a falling out

pauli was not a mumbo-jumbo 'mystic' and subjected his work and all of his colleagues to rigorous testing

most physicists today just don't want to discuss this, but it's all laid out in the letters, others' work and at the very depths of quantum phenomenon

there's a reason that quantum physicists start talking mystic shit when they get older

not true

horses were native to north america and from there radiated out to eurasia across the arctic land bridges that formed from time to time

horses were amongst the american mega-fauna that became extinct 10,000 years before the present, along with ground sloths, sabre toothed cats, hippos, elephants and the like

the horses that escaped from spanish shipwrecks did 'go native' and quickly swept the continent, completely changing north american indian cultures--particularly in the southwest--where these peoples changed from sedentary farmers to semi-nomadic horsemen, also reflected in their shifts in religious beliefs and rituals

except that the poltergeist phenomena were directly observed by some of his contemporaries, including jung

jung helped pauli tremendously after his breakdown, but pauli began analysing jung's theories and a critical analysis back-and-forth also helped jung to fine-tune them and set them onto a more secure, 'scientific' footing

poltergeist phenomena are well-documented, pauli had the good--or bad--fortune to be the only world-class modern scientist so afflicted

and he was aware enough to realise that HE was somehow doing these things himself at a 'sub-conscious' level

that is why he sought out jung and why he was finally able to gain control over the 'episodes' at least to a certain extent

the ineluctable fact that other physicists and scientists actually had to ban him from their labs--not because he deliberately broke things, but because the equipment itself would just start to go haywire by his mere presence--should be a sufficient marker that some actual physical manifestations were occurring in his presence

einstein was particularly fascinated with this

The symptoms are real, they are a result of chemicals in the brain, but these chemicals in the brain are not mental defects. If a person becomes depressed because their life is shitty they aren't mentally ill, they are reacting rationally to a poor life situation. If someone exhibits unusual behavior that doesn't make them mentally ill, that just makes them abnormal. It should be up to the patient to decide if they need medication to deal with their symptoms.

The mind is a process and not a physical organ. You can't medicalize human behavior all willy nilly and call it science.

This is true but the reason we give chemo instead of capsaicin is because chemo can actually get to the cells.

Lots of things kill cancer cells better then chemo, but they are either pointless because we can't use them or more dangerous then chemo which is already poison.

You clearly don't interact with anyone in healthcare often.

Patients are ALWAYS free to refuse any sort of treatment or medication UNLESS they are a danger to themselves or others. Full stop.

Many people are perfectly capable of coping with mental illness without treatment, this does not mean they do not have an illness. People cope with broken bones without getting a cast, we will keep calling those fractures.

Abnormal chemical imbalances are disorders by definition if they influence a person's thought process in a negative way.

There is also a huge difference between clinical depression and someone being in a depressed state because of a traumatic even (grief is a great example of a state that mimics depression while not being a true mental illness).

Your claim that "almost all" mental illnesses are myths is just completely ignorant.

If a massive group of people have a set of symptoms (depression) and we link it to a specific chemical imbalance (primarily serotonin) and we create a drug to help deal with the imbalance (SSRIs for example) that acts on specifically that chemical and we see the same type of improvement on a majority of patients that take the drug, that is fucking science.

It has also taken DECADES of rigorous study to make that possible no thanks to faggots like you that continue the stigma of mental illness.

mormonism--and the root churches of has evolved into a very positive thing for the community of christ, the lds and other sects and many members have wonderful, strong and positive family experiences

but joseph smith was a fraud who wrote the book of mormon himself, corrupted traditional scripture with his many 'additions' ( including the belief that people could become angels, etc. ) and ultimately, after his murder, the main movement was hijacked by brigham young

fortunately, the churches believe that their teachings can be 'revised' so they're not so inflexible anymore and can respond to the changing conditions around them

but even most members of the community of christ have accepted the fact that joseph smith's masterwork was his own fabrication, that the first nation tribes are not the descendants of hebrew refugees and that the gold tablets were a ruse--and that quetzacoatl was not a resurrected jesus come to the new world to spread the gospel

all holy works are the efforts of men to make sense of the world; god doesn't write anything and we just have to make do with our religious and scientific efforts to better ourselves and slowly hunch towards greater truth about ourselves and the universe and our place within it

simply calling the mormon experience a 'schill' is petty and vain

they have accomplished much, they have completely influenced christianity worldwide and they are woven into the fabric of american culture and history in a way that no other religious group can match

but no one has a corner on the religious truth market

Just take a look at the Book of Abraham; evidence shows that it isn't anything what Joseph Smith said it to be and now some leaders go "Oh well it was a portal for him to receive revelation, not physically read from it".

Look at reformed Egyptian, not one Egyptologist acknowledges the existence of such a language.

Vitamin B12 contains cyanide locked in the molecule as well.

Amygdalin contains not only cyanide, but benzaldehyde as well; the two in combination being 100x more deadly than each acting alone, however, they remain locked in the molecule until an enzyme unique to cancer unlocks them at the site, destroying the cancer cell. It's a beautiful proven mechanism. Watch the video and be cancer-free for free:

That's not scary it is amazing because that would be an incredibly safe pesticide for humans.

I can understand the fear of that type of tinkering affecting us but that isn't how it works. A parasite for an insect could never be modified to infect a large mammal and if someone wanted to try, they'd be an idiot. Much easier to start with a parasite that already kills large mammals.

And no, I haven't taken a tour, but I have seen pictures of the vaults (easily googleable) and my home teacher told us once about how he had a vision about the proof in the vault, so he talked to the bishop the next day who talked to the stake president who talked to the seventy etc., and two days later Gordon B. Hinkley (this was a few years ago) came to his house and brought some of the artifacts with him and showed it to him, and then gave him his second anointing.

"Standard language reference works contain no reference to "reformed Egyptian" Standard language references such as Peter T. Daniels and William Bright, eds., The World's Writing Systems (New York: Oxford University Press, 1996) (990 pages);

"No non-Mormon scholars acknowledge the existence of either a "reformed Egyptian" language or a "reformed Egyptian" script as it has been described in Mormon belief. For instance, in 1966, John A. Wilson, professor of Egyptology at the University of Chicago, wrote, "From time to time there are allegations that picture writing has been found in America… In no case has a professional Egyptologist been able to recognize these characters as Egyptian hieroglyphs. From our standpoint there is no such language as 'reformed Egyptian'." John A. Wilson, March 16, 1966, cited in Jerald and Sandra Tanner, The Changing World of Mormonism (Chicago: Moody Press, 1979), ch. 5. Richard A. Parker, department of Egyptology at Brown University, wrote, "No Egyptian writing has been found in this [Western] hemisphere to my knowledge"

Klaus Baer, another Egyptologist at the University of Chicago, called the characters of the "Caractors" document nothing but "doodlings" Jerald & Sandra Tanner, Changing World of Mormonism, Moody Press, 1980, p. 143.

Anthropologist Michael D. Coe of Yale University, an expert in pre-Columbian Mesoamerican studies, has written, "Of all the peoples of the pre-Columbian New World, only the ancient Maya had a complete script." Michael D. Coe, Breaking the Maya Code, (London: Thames and Hudson, 1999, preface.

You might not know how the LDS church works, but our bishops literally have the ability to use the power of God. The LDS church is the only church with the priesthood, and everyone who has it can literally trace their line back to God himself, including me.

Yet is one of the youngest ones, one of many to say they have this priesthood, and lacks any evidence of this claim.
>Bishops have ability to use power of God
Yet some bishops have been caught ins scandals or not being able to fill the required duties.

I guess my bishop wasn't very good at it. Asked me if I masturbated and other shit and I said no, got a temple recommend.

So glad I'm no longer forced to go to church anymore.

>only reason it took so long was because of the book of Lehi which got stolen and the long repentance process
Nope try again, doesn't even come close to fill time gaps.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priesthood_%28Latter_Day_Saints%29#Requirement_of_priesthood_succession

>Latter Day Saints generally believe that priesthood originates with Jesus, and is passed to others through a line of succession.

Your bishop will still honour your free agency.

Believing something doesn't make it true
>>
>>578800023
Yes, it completely fills the gaps. And even if he spent a year translating it, big whoop. It's still a book that could not possibly have been written by a farm boy with no education and no extensive knowledge of ancient history, archaeology, geography, etc.
>>
>>578800513
Present this evidence then, this magical evidence that we have somehow missed through our research.

The link is just Joseph Smith saying "Hey guise my ideology is right and I bear this line of priesthood. Not the numerous other churches who are larger and have xisted longer".

The bishop isn't doing his job then, you must be worthy to have a temple recommend. What's next everyone will go to the highest kingdom because their free agency is respected?
>>
>>578800861
You're right, it doesn't. It is true independent of what I believe, and I then believe the truth.
>>
>>578800513
But but. I must be pure to enter the temple.

Growing up being forced to go to an LDS church sucked.
>>
You will get far in life if you pass grade 2
>>
>>578800921
There is no 'magical evidence.' You simply have to read the BoM and pray with sincere intent and an open heart, and the holy ghost will let you know it is true.

The link was just because you thought I was trolling because I said we could trace our priesthood lineage back to God, and the link was just proof that it is real LDS doctrine.
>>
>>578800891
No it doesn't, also take a look at the books he had at his disposal. The king James bible, Apocrypha, or View of the Hebrews. The man could read he wasn't fucking illiterate.

Rhey landed a probe too.
It took readings, reported back, then was promptly crushed by the heat and pressure.
>>
>>578801443
I didn't say he was illiterate, I just said he wasn't educated. There is a big difference between being able to read and write, and being able to create something like the Book of Mormon.

Writing the Book of Mormon would take a biblical scholar a decade or more to do, would take thousands of hours of research, and would end up with plenty of mistakes in it. The Book of Mormon was completed in a few weeks (even a year like someone claimed is still impossibly short) with no research by someone who was not a scholar of any kind. And it has literally no mistakes that have been found in almost 200 years of plenty of people searching for them.
>>
>>578801359
>I'm not trolling, all of this stuff is easily verifiable with two seconds of googling.
In other words opinions with NO REAL EVIDENCE BACKING.

This is the issue, The Book of Mormon has no physical evidence to back it up as a historically correct book. Reformed Egyptian does not exist or is not validated by any Egyptologist.
Can you believe it? Sure we have and respect freedom of religion but from a historical standpoint is this book true? As of this time no it is not due to lack of evidence to support it and the errors within the book itself as well as going through numerous edits.

For some reason, I can't ever take anyone seriously when they say "ancient America"

Nigga the book has gone through numerous editions like the doctrines of the church. Shit has changed enough times there could be a series of books.
>>
>>578802071
I'm not claiming that google has definitive proof for all of this; that was just a response to the people who were claiming 'durr, you said that your priesthood can be traced back to God, you must be trolling.'

The proof is in the prayer. Anyone, literally anyone, who will read the Book of Mormon and pray about it with real intent and an open heart, will have the best possible proof given to them: the testimony of the Holy Ghost.
>>
>>578802340
Sure, they've fixed slight grammatical errors that came from typesetting, etc., but they actually got ahold of the original handwritten copy a few years ago from one of the breakoff sects of the LDS church, and changed the entire thing to match that exactly.

The only changes that have EVER been made were unintentional small errors in printing, and correcting those errors
>>
>>578802597
Then why do people who pray about Islam, Catholicism, Protestantism, Baptist, LDS, Community of Christ, etc. Feel they have found the right one? Why do some people read the BoM and not feel anything? Why do some leave the LDS faith and join another faith due to the same thing you just described?
>>
you stupid fucking autists ruined this thread, kill yourselves
>>
>>578802871
They don't. The other religions might make them feel good, but once you have had the holy ghost testify to you (which it would only do for the truth, which is the LDS church), then you know that all those other feelings you had weren't the spirit.

And very few people leave the LDS church. The only people who leave are people who get offended or want do sin.
>>
>>578802919
Maybe the spirit led you here so you could learn about God's love for you.

>>578803124
They are saying the same thing towards your religion. So dumb to say "Not the spirit it is wrong you are wrong." The church has a large amount of inactive people and bullshit to people who leave because they want to sin or are offended. People leave because of problems with depression, suicide, or to them do not believe it anymore. Do they sin? Many live not drinking, smoking or fooling around.

No you don't. I use to be a mormon. Its all bullshit. Joseph Smith was a massive con. He was a treasure hunter. Not a prophet. If the bishiop knew answers to my his question then why would he purposfully ruin the sanctity of a temple after i fucked his wife? Because he didnt know. Either that or your god must really hate him.
