When the public are given a clear false portrayal of someone which is then used to further the notion that whites hold racist sentiments, you can expect a backlash against the case from whites. The way in which he comported himself in the convenience store dispelled any notion of him being a 'gentle giant' and you have to take into account that if he was caught just a while before he was killed doing something like this, he has likely done it before. Not only that, but now the Obama administration are upset that the video was released by the police department - they wanted to withhold the tape from the public to ensure that what you know about MB was totally false.

However, it wasn't his fault, and he shouldn't have been killed. I think the majority of /b/ are with me on this, we're just angered at how these cases are invariably used as evidence that whites hold racist sentiments, but the same isn't done in the reverse. For example, you likely don't realize that there were 14 Trayvon Martin revenge attacks (POST-TRIAL) because they weren't used by the media in the same way that the killings of MB/TM are.

That's actually a bit of an overstatement. The Isreal/Palestine situation involves the killing of whole families and acquiring more land, whereas the police -- or Ferguson police more specifically -- are just unconsciously maintaining a weak, yet still pressing, apartheid system. btw I don't hate cops in general, as they're workers most the time doing their jobs like you and me, but I do deplore the legislation they uphold and the means they can see to it.
