I ended up getting rich because of it, and I had literally atleast 5 people working for me, mining coal for 150gp each. I would then buy it from them, go to a full world, and just stand there spamming "flash2:wave2:SELLING COAL 200EA!" and it sold like fucking hotcakes.

I remember the old graphics, the old hitpoint system, and the old combat system. I may have started late by some peoples standards, but it is still a part of my childhood, hell, part of my life. I quit when dungeoneering was a thing. I hated the concept, I hated doing dungeons, and having to do it for the new weapons made me quit. I eventually came back and botted myself high enough dung but then EoC came out and I quit again. Never looked back.

I played Runescape when it was just a few weeks old. A friend of mine introduced me to the game.

I remember when Runescape was trying to be like an Ultima Online, when they had no wilderness whatsoever, everyone was able to attack one another in the middle of the road, people used to ambush or people on the way from Lumbridge to Varrock. They would tell you to drop your shit on the group and then they would kill you anyways. I remember being shit afraid when I walked in Varrock for the first time, and seeing all they people in steel and full bronze armor, knowing absolutely balls about the game, and thinking to myself that they people must be the pro players in Runescape.

Also when you killed someone, the guards would attack you, which was fucking bullshit. People started bitching about how unfair the game was, and then fucking Jagex caved in and Wilderness was implemented a few months later.

Items such as, iron, coal, lobsters etc. You could just walk up to that npc that converts items for certi without having any items.
