sweet christ i hope this works
well fuck me sideways with a jackhammer im just a big ol' pile of shit today
This ain't weeb music, but I understand your feeling
BECAUSE I HAVE LOST CONTROL OF MY LIFE
fuck you. youre even worse than me and it took me three tries to post a fucking youtube viideo
Can you listen to the whole thing? Can you?
posting another of my own
YouTube's copyrights are a bitch, so have SoundCloud links.
>weebs thinking they have a better taste
I'm happy I made weebos feel superior for a short while, I guess you guys don't really experience that feeling a lot. Let's just face it's both a super awkward form of escapism.
Not gonna lie, I though that was catchy, I cringed a little but did the hand movements too.
Anon, we're only supposed to be posting ones we're ashamed of listening to.
Speaking of which, I usually sing along with this one when I'm alone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FtU9XMuFfU
then post some kiryu
or the band pic related is excited to see.
...ok, clearly I need to lurk moar on /a/.
Alright, surely they haven't done Connect.
Wo ist die Kase, then.
just keeping the thread alive
My kinda thread :3
Holy jesus in a fuckin popsickle stick
are you weebs seriously this gay about cartoons?
Holy fuck the music alone makes me cringe
Yeah, you go out to your backyard bbq with your inbred redneck neighbours and play Bob Dylan casettes instead. This thread is saved big time for further examination later on and if I wasn't busy with other stuff I'd post way more.
I love her. Not just the oddball fashion, but the music as well. Too bad the "look" is all people tend to see.
I would have been posting more but I got sidetracked baking cookies.
yea, I don't have redneck neighbours, and I don't do bbqs, but I do play bob dylan songs, not casettes.
tell me why you guys watch girly cartoons?
the only element of it is being cute or some unrealistic stuff.
don't h8 me just curious
I've never seen the show but I like this song.
Well, personally I don't care much for the girly, cutesy, moe sort of stuff if it comes in excess. But I love anime, the amplified sort of violence, the ridiculous emotions, the whole imaginativeness of it all, the way the stories doesn't necessarily end good, or even bad some times. I'll elaborate a little more in a few if I'll make it...
I guess the keyword is escapism. Yesterday I started watching Aria the animation, only seen a few eps so far... it seems to be a slice of life show tho, nothing spectacular happens, just daily life stuff for some girls working in the gondola business in Neo-venezia, on the newly terraformed planet Aqua. The appeal isn't really the cutesyness of the girls themselves but the whole beautiful environment, the calmness and peace of it all... and it really rubs off and it puts your mind in a Zen state... when I leave the house after watching that stuff... I still have that peace in my mind, I think the cutesy friendly girl characters help to that goal as well tho. Just one of them little things that make it worthwhile you know.
Well played, and a pretty cool story.
Maybe this will interest you slightly
>worst pink horse song
>shit for brains music producer
wowee go kill ursefl
Well the erection is there, it may have even been tickled slightly.
And speaking of Aria...
Love me some Round Table as well.
>all anons posting about whateve
r the Op says
last post get
I was content with getting my baccano
And something close to the bepop op
But I dunno if I can stand for this.
I did and you were mean ._.
Bitch, 2hu is the shit no need to be ashamed.
>this isn't mister donut
>oh god where am i
we just want you to love us, is that too much to ask?
And who are you? A mod?
it's not like i wanted you to love me anyways or something b-baka
i can't hit captchas
sorry for being rude
but thread is awful so not even that sorry
It's tombstone though, I knew the guy; he is creepy as all hell, he took a picture of tara strong ass and boasted about it in the group chat. Like It meant anything other than he's a socially awkward weirdo.
Plus this song is better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNTQxrEk4iY
And also for weeaboo music, I like Nanahira: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvEC00eLkns
I am anonymous, anon x.x
I'm never ashamed to admit my tastes. It's not because they're awesome, either. Still, I grew out of weaboo music 12 or so years ago. I still listen to music from GiT:SAC, and various orchestral tracks from anime, but that's about it.
It's mostly about having words that I don't understand so I don't break concentration.
This as well.
Tells a (good) story and I enjoy it.
But ur rong and dum
You sh-shut up ._.
Fuck yea, Yanagi Nagi is a goddess. This one's an instrumental track from the same album (which I wholly recommend). Pretty great for sleeping too
check yourself before you wreck yourself bitch
The Real Folk Blues - The Seatbelts
Eternal Pose - Asia Angineer
You - Kazami
My Silky Heart - Yui Horie
Sobakasu - Judy and Mary
Rain and Uso - Sid
Was really into anime at one point. I only watch the new episode of JJBA or read SnK right now, but these songs still sound good to me
because searching the web often leads me to others who have different tastes than mine. I trust /b/ more than wherever the google wind takes me.
a little short <.>
but the beat is niceu
either or. also enjoyed spice and wolf and mao yuusha but the medieval economics animes are 0/2 on endings now.
Yui Horie is love
Yui Horie is life
last note. is top tier
>Trusting /b/ over anything
I never actually watched Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai (there's a reason it's usually just called anohana)
so I can't really help you there bub, don't ask /a/ though.
the songs are way too catchy man..
I know not to ask /a/, they're a bunch of fun-killers, though I picked up Watamote because of them so I guess that was a plus. The OP was pretty nice for it but its full version is aweful.
well as for tearjerkers, clannad AS is probably the most potent. i'm sure you've heard about it constantly. it's definitely overrated but yea, you WILL cry. first season's a bit slow but the payoff comes later
The OP is just so wrong it fits the show perfectly.
You could just lurk /a/, or you can disguise a recommendation thread with a "Watched Expected Got" template and see if something rubs your clit.
have you heard the full? the fucking 'breakdown' part is so tacked on and painful to sit through. It makes me cry.
unrelated note PASWG has amazing soundtrack once you cut out the dialogue shit.
I actually already had it, but haven't played it yet. Thanks for the recommendation.
>Pic related, I have alot of maps, but I've probably only played a quarter of them.
also angel beats is pretty similar in a lot of ways. not as sad and certainly more lighthearted/comedic, but they share a lot of superficial elements (reincarnations, friendships after death, etc). honestly though i thought AB! could've been better, another one that didn't quite live up to the hype. a lot of people really enjoy it though so i'd give it a try at least.
yea, truly good anime drama are hard to come by.
Is good but youtube removed all the full non-pitched versions so i was stuck with an mmd
is my favorite map if you haven't picked it up. Fallen Angel from the PASWG ST
<.> was planning on getting around to it
had a friend recc me AB! but his taste a shit so I didn't follow up
meh. you were right, my tastes > your tastes.
ehhhh not that big a fan, melodies sound a tad generic to me. then again, i didn't like the HSOTD OP as much as everyone else either, so maybe it's just a problem with the artist i have
Vocaloid, Touhou Remixes and general weaboo shit is the only thing I listen to, so I have a playlist on my phone of just normalfag shit for when I get people in my car.
Living is suffering.
I always liked that song, even though the show itself didn't appeal to me.
The difficulty rating seems low for the map, I thought it would be too easy entirely but it actually fills the lower end of my level of play nicely.
nice, fallen angel's one of my favorite ED's.
and yea, feel free to skip ab! then, not missing much. i would definitely watch clannad though. it's nearly an emotional rite of passage at this point.
Totally forgot they did the HSOTD OP too, it's just that if I'm caught listening to my 2hos I'd rather be caught listening that, much better than this.
I know this feel. My (close) friends actually know my power level but I'd still never subject them to the nauseating and saccharine shit that I sometimes indulge in during car rides.
Also, if you're (or anyone) isn't aware, check out r/a/dio. Really great place to find new weeaboo tunes
eh, I liked almost all of them but I just love last note so whatever. Vocarock Collection 4 and 5 have some great tracks on them too.
saw r/a/dio didnt have their own app and lost hope. ty anon, downloading right now.
That's unfortunate. Well most people I know are into metal so they don't mind Utsu P or the Vocaloud albums if they come on.
Better than switching to the radio I guess.
>What's a brony anon?
Oh I also listen to remixes and rearranges of Vocaloid because gotta go deeper:
There's a Setsuna Trip version by them on the album, can't find it anywhere on jewtube tho'
not about hiding power level, it's about niggers complaining about mah miku
When i was writing out my engineering assignment i think this was on repeat and i listened to it like 4 times in a row
Sometimes it helps having repetitive weeaboo music on when doing that shit
Fuck no, my power level is quite low, but I hide it quite good
By the way, it's a longshot, but has anyone come across an article (or has their own theory) exploring general harmonic trends in jap/weeaboo music and instrumentals, and explaining why we might like it to the point of exclusivity? i mean, my friends and i can agree on almost everything else and i respect their tastes. we just differ in this one area. am i really the faggot for liking this crap? are my musical tastes actually shit? why, all else being equal, will i prefer an eastern to a western song? i do have a few theories of my own but i wonder if anyone else thinks about this. the common answer is "taste is subjective and doesn't require justification", but it can't be completely arbitrary, right?
god that's cute
kinda the same way with my friends but I use the typical argument of my tastes>your tastes
I like the happy-hardcore sound of a lot of the weeamusic and I don't mind not being able to understand all of the lyrics. One of my friends likes classic rock for whatever reason and my other friend likes Carlie Ray Jepson and Taylor Swift to a terrifying extent because he's fucking weird.
Wow, this thread is still going.
I wonder if your friends would enjoy the same music but english vocals and not knowing where it originated from.
As for exclusivity, I don't have a clue but I did fall down that rabbit hole.
Personally I can't say I prefer weebtunes exclusively, appeal comes in many shapes, and depends on mood. If the tune is associated with an epic scene, or mayhap the lyrics hit the right spot a mediocre tune may turn brilliant.
Maybe one could make a study of sorts... find a few people who luv their weebtunes, make profiles and see if they have anything exclusively in common.
This tune I like because of it's cheerful, rather paced, flow.
Later. Was fun. 1 moar for road

yea, i definitely think the language is part of it. in some ways it's actually a plus for me. maybe it's just me, but i never really..."understood" most lyrics, on both the levels of comprehension and meaning. i find it hard to discern the words sometimes because i'm only focused on the whole melody, and the ideas expressed by the lyrics themselves are usually only loosely connected and pretty abstract, reading more like poetry than a book. and for whatever reason, i've grown a little cynical toward these meanings as i hear the same kinds of patterns and rhetorical devices used in a lot of western music. foreign music alleviates this since i know i can't understand anything and instead regard the vocals as just another instrument. i don't have the chance to consider them as contrived and instead appreciate them only for how they sound (and i gotta say, i do think japanese sounds more mellifluous than english on the whole). if my friends don't have this kind of perspective on lyricism, i can see that being a significant point of difference between us
you're right, it definitely varies and it's hard to pin down my exact preferences for any given period of time. i like that profile idea and i eventually want to do something like it. i just figured it, like everything else, has already been thought of, and asked for resources to begin with. i've seen a few blog posts on some anime music sites but none as comprehensive as i'd like them to be
lyrics usually stupid shit or typical been done hundred times. foreign music sounds new. I like new; don't want understand.
So many memories come rushing in.
Gotcha. Haven't bumped into anything like it.
same here, vocaloid is about the only part of weeb music that i'm not too keen on. i don't think i'll ever prefer those kind of electronic vocals to real (even substantially altered) human voices.
if i do like a vocaloid song, it'll be only by virtue of a really nice instrumental or something. a lot of them sound sort of the same though to me
one vocaloid song that i, relatively, enjoy:
Ah, well I mostly listen to rock/metal side of it all.
Yeah language is a big no for most, but tbh it's just another instrument (like you said too) and if produced right it sounds interesting/great and new.
I don't understand the lyrical side of it, which may be the hook for most if not all listeners/
