I need a sad anime on par with Clannad and Angel Beats.
Self bump of shame
bumping for interest
also similar to Toradora and love Chunibyo
>>558055234
bump for same needs
>>558055296
I heard of Toradora, but what is Chunibyo about?
>>558055102
Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.
(Short Ano Hana)
Cried in almost every episode, really sad and beautiful.
>>558055465
Chuunibyou is about a 'geeky' girl... Western equivalent might be goth? It's mostly comedy
>>558055639
I heard a lot of good reviews from that show. I guess I'll stop waiting for a dub, and watch it.
>>558055807
Looking into it
>>558056125
Hm. Maybe look into Honey & Clover? It's got ups and downs, I enjoyed its tone.
(I don't have and H&C hentai, so tits)
>>558055102
Kaiba or Canaan. A scifi background in both though.
TM 8.0
>>558056414
Seema a bit cliche(like every other anime, ever), but its good?
>>558056125
1st season is mediocre, 2nd is shit.
Chuunibyo is not worth watching
>>558055102
Boku No Piko is what you're looking for
>>558056489
Did Canaan used to be on Netflix? Looks familiar.
>>558056908
>Look at me mom, I'm maymaying
>>558056753
I like that it's mature.
The characters are university students, not grade schoolers.
You can always try one episode if you're interested.
>>558056836
Will trust
>>558056908
Will read plot synopsis.
>>558057012

Toradora straight up. Made me rethink a bunch of things..
Now and then, Here and there. Will tear your fucking heart out, seriously if you want sad this is it. Its a bit old but my god man.
Wolf Children. Its a movie, rather recent, strong story and highly recommended.
Cant think of anything else off the top of my head.
>>558055102
FMA is a pretty fucking twisted at times, don't know whether its sad though
>>558057521
(Wolf children)I can't do the animal shit in anime. Its what made me drop Kanon. I always thought Toradora was a romantic comedy, is it not?
>>558057885
Ah shame to hear it, as someone who got raised without a dad it just struck a strong cord all the way through.
I havent seen Kanon so i cant help with a comparison.
Toradora is a romantic comedy but it has this real romeo and juliet kinda vibe which once your good and suck into the show, really gets you in the end.

>>558055639
I can go back and watch the last 7 minutes of the last episode and still cry like a tard who just broke their G.I. Joe action figure in half
Ano Hana 10/10
Zetsuen no Tempest has its moments. plus its fucking great in general.

>>558058293
Ano Hana is on my watch list now
>>558058293
>that moment when everyone breaks down
Every time
>Still gets me everytime
>>558055102
Byousoku 5 Centimeter
>>558059020
If you're into sad movies, one of the saddest ones I've seen recently is Dear Zachary. Its really fucked up, definitely worth a watch.
>>558058645
Glad to hear it. It's short (12ep) and gets me teary-eyed every damn time
>>558055102
H20 Footprints in the Sand
>>558058775
Them goodbye letters tho
>>558059527
Hmm looks good, I'll be sure to watch it
>>558059943
Good. Im going to watch 5 centimeters per second tomorrow, when I'm less sleepy.
Now & Then, Here & There
Prepare to get emotionally pounded by this anime. It will throw you gut punches left and right then by the time you get to the end you'll be emotionally exhausted for like a day or so.
Just make sure that if you watch it, watch it with the english dub. It simply won't be the same without some of the voice acting done for some of the characters in english, most notably the main villain.
You can watch it for free on Youtube.
