Is there any drug/medication that helps coping with social anxiety but in an invisible manner, so no alcohol, weed or whatever. Would appreciate that !
Caffeine makes you more talkative, drugs that directly deal with anxiety work in pretty similar ways to alcohol (benzodiazapines) so don't even bother.
Maybe opiates? That's more like a "lol I don't give a fuck about you" feeling though, some people say it helps, I reckon it makes you an asocial twit.
thanks for the answers ! So you can confirm there's no visible sign that you're on some kind of drugs ? It'd be in a work environment with strict policy regarding alcohol/drugs.
Coffee stimulates dopamine production in your brain, makes you happy. Caffine from it gives you energy and focus. Positive attitude goes a long way. Also, don't be afraid of rejection, I get rejected sometimes, I don't let it go to my head though...jot everyone "gets along". Good luck op
So when I mentioned opiates I was thinking stuff like codeine and hydrocodone, using heroin is like using DMT when you've never done shrooms or weed.
Opiates are pretty invisible, then again so is weed if you have tiny doses.
If it's at work, I don't recommend you use any drug. Maybe learn to meditate or something?
I think I wouldn't be asking that question if I was !
Not to socialize. I'm just taking a job where I'm facing customers and it makes me anxious, fear of the unknown or whatever I guess. It's purely environmental since I can socialize quite well in lots of situations.
How about you go to a fucking GP, he'll probably give SSRI's or some shit, look it up. GP's don't know shit thought so I would go through him to get a psych appointment. If not you may as well do some blow, that'll work you out nice and easy. Fucking retard, don't self medicate, are you dumb nigger?
i used to stress, now I'm chill as fuck.
>somewhere on its own
No, it's not.
It's an extremely light psychedelic. If you smoke enough of it and don't have a tolerance, you can even have closed eye visuals. THC is by any definition a psychedelic
Pretty much any beta blockers will do the trick. Tell your doc you get shortness of breath in public and find yourself avoiding social events and public transport. Obviously don't tell him what prescription you're after just vaguely describe symptoms until he suggests meds. Reluctantly accept, enjoy your new life.
Why don't you just try assuming control of your own mind and telling that bitch when it will freak out and when it won't? Drugs that cause chemical imbalances in your brain will only make things worse for you, if you expect them to work in a certain way and aren't using them recreationally.
People like you...
Just because caffeine doesn't make you PARTYHARDPARTYHARDPARTYHARD for 12 hours doesn't make it not a stimulant. Just because marijuana doesn't make you float in ethereal plains greeting elfish people doesn't mean it's not a psychedelic.
Seriously, you're all being awfully silly about this.
I've stimulants are the best way to go, benzodiazepine either don't work for social anxiety (klonopin for me) or it makes you act drunk and say dumb shit (Valium and Xanax). Opiates, if you make a habit of them, make you completely unable to socialize. You don't really care that you can't socialize but it makes you boarder line autistic around people (especially when you're off it).
you just haven't taken enough at once, anon
OP, stay the fuck away from caffeine, it and weed will only make this worse.
Klonopin is your friend! The relaxed state of being stoned without any of the pesky introspection or creativity. Addictive though.
Eat a couple brownies you should took a half of and see whats up.
Guys... I don't think he wants to use benzos.
I thought there were two of him? My mistake.
I think he's gotten stoned before, it's just that some people meticulously deny any sort of psychedelia on weed... all sorts of shit will be going on in their heads, and they'll just be like:
>NAH MAN, NOT HIGH IN THE SLIGHTEST, JUST A LITTLE FEELING IT
That actually might be what he wants, it's a very different sort of feeling from smoking, brownies are hard to dose right though and taking too much for work would be horrible.
Benzos do the trick in some cases, but are highly addictive.
I would rather stick to psychological therapy if I were you, and look up a good psychologist.
There are also legit self help approaches, maybe take a look at this book:
A therapy with a professional would probably be your best option though, while taking any kind of drugs against anything should always be your last resort and not the first thing you try out.
Of course it's easier said than done. Doing shit in a way that is more beneficial to you in the long run is always going to be harder than the easy alternative.
I spent 3 years of my life at home without any semblance of a social life because of my social anxiety. If I didn't know, first hand, that it's entirely possible to work around anxiety I wouldn't bother to post. It's an option. Nobody is obligated to take it seriously if they don't want to, but it might come to help an anon who is willing to do the hard work.
I got a bit of experience with this
great substance cheap and effective however you should not take it more than two or three times a week because tolerance builds quickly one more thing do research on it and watch your dosing start off with half a gram or one pill depends what you buy
careful however it is addicting but nothing a little self discipline cant handle
Why isn't your hand on her butt in the pic?
Jokes aside training will fix social anxiety. I always hate public presentations but after doing a few it gets easier even fun.
But if i wait a few weeks it gets hard again so it's like keeping fit, if you stop training you will get "unfit".
Heads up, that's the point of benzos, a xanax or valium would do you well. If unavailable, they make some crazy "research chemical" benzo that you can legally buy, i can't remember its name though.
H works wonders too, but i guess a lot of people don't like the thought of doing it :/
Of course there's going to be a visual sign. If you take Phenibut you essentially will say anything and be too honest. Could lead to swearing. This is because Phenibut blocks GABA receptors and GABA receptors are found on interneurons that inhibit excitatory neurons. Caffeine will make you hyper and your eyes will fucking bulge. Terrifying if you do that to anyone in public. Propranolol is a beta blocker, or more precisely, a epinephrine beta receptor antagonist, which means you don't get the fight or flight response, so you'll be chill the entire time. Even if a bullet whizzes past your face you won't feel an adrenalin rush, so although you look totally relaxed you will also look uninterested to the person you're conversing with. Johns-Hopkins-Neuroscience-fag here.
Still lurking, thanks everyone for the answers, learning a lot even though lots of you have differing opinions. Guess I'll first try the "work on yourself" method, other than that the Propranolol seems to be the most adequate.
OP do you skydive, or do crazy shit? If you did you'd develop a natural tolerance for adrenalin, so you'll get rid of anxiety pretty easily. Horror movies will get boring though, beware.
>helps coping with social anxiety
>but in an invisible manner, so no alcohol, weed or whatever
> wants psychoactive substance that changes thought patterns as relates to outward expression
> doesn't want thought patterns changed such that outward expression is different
You're one conflicted fuck
I meant that weed gives you the red eyes, alcohol smells 3m in front of you. I don't care if I talk in an apathetic way.
No but that's actually something I'm gonna consider, thanks.
>I meant that weed gives you the red eyes,
I smoke every day, multiple times a day, and this doesn't happen to me unless I cough or get REALLY high. I just take a small toke every few hours to keep my social since I'm on the phone a lot at work. Since I started doing this, management praised me for how much my personability improved. Top kek
You need a pretty heavy tolerance to make it work. Try smoking after work and on weekends.
Most of the short-term affects of marijuana (e.g. red eyes, bad short-term memory, impaired cognition) are ameliorated in chronic users. In Washington they did a test of cannabis use on driving, and the long-term medical users did fine whereas the weekend-toker drove dangerously.
>Cortisone oral pill.
I had to use it for two week. This shit if fucking strong. Many side affect but ive fuck 2 new girl out of nowhere in those two week.
You are just so much active, happy and productive. Was totally a new guy.
>I meant that weed gives you the red eyes, alcohol smells 3m in front of you. I don't care if I talk in an apathetic way.
You really do want benzos then.
I thought you didn't want to act visibly intoxicated, this is fine then.
Go to a psychiatrist, put a million nicotine patches on, tell him you have anxiety, don't overdo it and get your script.
There is no drug to fix your problem. You have to conquer your demons yourself. Trust me on this one. It won't be easy or painless but holy fuck will it feel nice to be out of that chapter.
That stuff works pretty OK, but I personally cannot take it as I experienced multiple feinting spells/blackouts at random sparse intervals after my dosage was in full effect.
But go ahead and try it. It can also be prescribed as a painkiller/anti anxiety+depression
