Also, welcome to the WWE, King of Swag Style: Shinsuke Nakamura. Can't wait for Styles to get a rematch.
>Hideo Itami’s shoulder has had complications after surgery and he’s apparently nowhere close to being able to return
How do you even convince Japanese people to leave for the WWE? Money aside, everything seems to be a lot better for wrestlers in Japan then it does in WWE unless you're already a veteran.
Or is WWE the tip of the iceberg in wrestling
I wouldn't be surprised if they just make him a coach down in Florida, but he attributes his skill in the ring to his work with Benoit so don't be surprised if the dogs end up in the enclosed pool area
I'd mark for a "Roman Empire" heel faction, /wwe/.
>Based Uncle Rocky dropping by to say hi and completely ignoring all the ruthless shit Roman does
>Enforcer Dean/Rebel Dean
>I want SvsR 2007 story mode were you got choices how to react to the storyline and it changed based on it.
That shit was dope. And a hell of a lot better than "Authority Goals" (HYPER-REALISM MODE, just like in real life, The Authority ruins everything) that I accomplish entirely on accident. Like I'm going to NOT counter my opponent's signature just because The Authority wants me to.
I don't know what that is, but I'm going to assume that you mean Ye Olde "Arcade" style fight mechanics and then hasten to add than you should commit suicide. Then I'll go find something else on the internet to get worked up over.
But srs, the "new" "simulation" style with counter management, signature build up, stamina management, etc, is so goddamn cool. Though the chain wrestling mechanic still drives me up the wall. And the Vidya WWE has the same problem the IRL WWE has with everyone kicking out of finishers three or four fucking times. I don't think I've ever had a finisher FINISH the goddamn match on the first try
The "Press X to Kick Out" can yield some funny moments too, if you get lucky and hit it on the first try. "BAH GAWD HE TOOK A PEDIGREE ONTO THE STEEL CHAIR AT THE END OF THIS NO DQ IRONMAN MATCH!!! COVER!!! KICK OUT AT ONE!!1!"
I wish we could combine match stipulations. EXTREME FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE IRON MAN IN A CELL MATCH!
>On Wednesday's episode of MLW Radio, Konnan clarified that the latest round of heat on Lana and Rusev within WWE stems from an incident that happened at an airport last week. Lana yelled at Rusev in public at the airport, which once again has her in hot water with WWE management, while Rusev is now getting heat of his own for not standing up to her.
>The valet can't seem to stop irritating the powers that be in WWE, although this is the first time that Rusev has really fallen victim to the heat she has generated.
>For his part, Rusev has denied both the initial Wrestling Observer report about heat on the couple and Konnan's specifics about the situation.
>@RusevBUL Reading lies posted by @davemeltzerWON #MilkIsForBabies
>@RusevBUL Podcasts are soooooooo cool bro. You can make up all kinds of stories and it's like world news. Great reporters. #Murica #believe #sheep
I think started dat dem dere SS+GOMAD
That's both intensely believable of Lana yet seemingly impossible the management would react like that.
>Keeping up kayfabe while shit talking on the Tweeter
How can one man be so GOAT?
So besides Finn Balor, who are the stars in NXT that will one day become WWE superstars?
>Tyson Kidd ded
>Tyler Breeze irrelevant
>Adrian Neville buzzing around
>Sami Zayn foreverial shoulder torn
>Bo Dallas is still my nigga
Make the future look bright for me, /wwe/.
Outside of established names like Samoey Joey or even Asuka, the only homegrown ones I can think of with a real chance at sticking are Jordan/Gable or maybe Enzo and Cass.
Maybe they'll try pushing Corbin and Nia Jax like they are in NXT, but I don't see them ever connecting as a face or heel.
At least RuRu has had a good run.
Her name is awful and I don't get the rose gimmick (yet) but she sure is fine
Oh you gotta be kidding me. The struggle continues.
WWE can still put on 11/10 entrances when they feel like it
I don't understand how all 3 Aussie girls in NXT are total knockouts
Are Australian women just genetically superior or something?
Why people hate Owens again?
> According to one Mr. Wade Keller (on his radio show), Dean Ambrose was originally planned to be the one to eliminate AJ Styles from the Rumble. KO supposedly fought to be the one eliminate AJ. He also may have talked them/Vince out of giving Tough Enough winner Josh a spot in the Rumble and talked them/him into giving the spot to Sami instead.
do you know what swag is you faggot
what a retarded fuck, he made sami zayn look like a fucking jabroni idiot, he did nothing which is obvious now that it was josh's spot. LMFAO
fucking kevin owens idiot
already has that haitch influence, forcing himself to an aj feud with the hottest guy in the company, what a fucking faggot fuck this fat fuck
Gwt the fuck outta here. If anything this made Owen strong in the long run. What a waste ti have josh waste a spot because he called out some jobbers. This made Owens heat that much more believable even for his fat ass.
no it didnt because kevin owens fucking lost the LMS and dean won it but he should eliminate the hot new aj?, this fat fuck might be literally retarded. this on top of selling on the ramp and then competlely no selling in the ring, this guy is garbage
since when has that happened you fucking idiot. he literally one armed aa sandow, he never used his broken arm once. meanwhile fat fuck KO is superkicking people left and right on his limping leg
>Rusev would be in the main event scene if it weren't for his bitch of a wife
Rusev just can't get a break ;_;
The long run with the owens/zayn feud is money in the main roster. Dud you not notice all the guys gunning for ownes? Ambrose, styles and zayn? Dude is a money heel and with any given heat towards him gets people interested. But yet putting a faggot josh in the rumble because some butthurt jobbers want it is best for business.
Owens might actually have been the best choice to eliminate AJ, out of the viable options. Its a good potential feud and he still has enough credibility from the Steen days to mollify the inevitable smark element of the crowd that would have shit on most guys for eliminating AJ.
he didnt sell AT ALL there because vince told him not to. vince personally buried nexus because they put steamboat in a 8 month coma where he actually could have died
>Mizdow turns on Miz and gets one of the biggest pops in recent WM history
>wraps up a 6 month program that has fixed as one of the most over guys in the company
>has a bonafide wrestlemania moment
>next night on Raw, comes out to be interrupted by Axel
>he repeats everything axel says
>fast forward 9 months later
>haven't seen him on television since
>only time I've seen him he's been a rhyming wigger on UUDD
>was so cringy Creed asked him to tone it down or not come around
>buried on Tv
>buried in the locker room
>buried in life
is there anyone more depressing than Damien Sandow?
no it wasnt it was vince's idea and cena is a good boy
>inb4 u link edge on jerichos podcast
>he actually thinks john cena, the guy who sold a bunch of offense to daniel bryan in 2003 on fucking velocity would do this on his own
You reminded me to watch the movie, thanks anon
>Well, well. The Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase. Here we are at WrestleMania, and it's the biggest match of your career. Why? Because everything you stand for is on the line, mainly, the Million Dollar Belt. Oh yeah, you see it can be yours once again. All you have to do is go through Damien, and me. But you see, Damien and I don't forget, we remember all the times you made people grovel for your money. These were people far less fortunate than you, people who could use your money for essentials, and what did you do? You made fun of them. You humbled them and you humiliated them. Well, now it's my turn. I'm going to make you beg, DiBiase, you are going to get down on your hands and knees. This time, you'll be the one that's humbled. This time, you'll be the one that's humiliated, and this time, you will be the one that grovels for the money. And how appropriate, that the money you grovel for is your very own. A victim of your own greed, wallowing in the muck of avarice.
why don't people do this anymore?
>>buried in the locker room
He hinted towards this in his post-Mizdow promo. What is the story? Don't the guys always appreciate someone who gets over with a shit story?
Post your evidence of Steamboat being comatose marky:
All interviews with him indicated he is 100% okay with this. Not in the smark narrative "t-they'll neuter him" way either, he just thinks it's cooler to be part of this NXT revolution thing.
Nobody is more overrated than woi barret. People just feel bad for him that he got buried, and hasn't amounted to anything since. Admittedly be hasn't had much to work with, but overall I don't think he is a very good wrestler at all.
Then he is a faggot and I am losing respect for him.
The NXT meme is dead. The roster is shit and just looks like a developmental territory besides a him and Joe. The weekly show is boring as fuck.
Kinda disappointing he lacks the ambition to succeed on the main roster.
I'm sure he really cares about "respect" from a moronic shitter nobody like >>(You)

>Dwayne Johnson returned on Raw and gave no hints at all what his role in WrestleMania is. The last word we had was that he wasn’t going to be wrestling on the show, but he’s made it clear his role is something big. The obvious thing, whether that’s the plan or not, I don’t know, would be for Johnson to be in Reigns’ corner and Vince McMahon to be in HHH’s corner. That would at least help the crowd have the “right” reaction because Vince usually can turn a crowd at will. If Ronda Rousey could appear, this would be the spot where you added her and Stephanie to the mix. Normally I’d say that’s “too busy.” In this case, the idea of Reigns standing there at the end celebrating with one of the biggest movie stars (and possibly that and the country’s most talked about female athlete celebrity) is a pretty strong moment for those watching. It’s the strongest possible scenario for the finish to get media play and Reigns to get the rub like the one Hulk Hogan got with Cyndi Lauper and Mr. T in his mainstream ascension.
NXT Takeover is it then
>mfw he legit kills Fenix, and Fenix legit comes back from the dead three days later
i literally got memed into watching lucha underground because of fucking rey mysterio and he doesnt even show up and i see a fucking triple threat with 2 guys and a girl and the girl wins and then she has a title match with a fucking 40 year old roided out gut guy what the fuck is this meme garbage. the wrestling also sucked other than the first match which was ok
i thought Mil was like 25
the main event was pretty shit but it's the first episode and they were probably banking on "trying something different"
the only other intergender wrestler is a legit star (Sexy Star) and her matches against Pentagon Jr. are very good
At least you recognize Fenix vs Cuerno was good.
I think they were just trying to get the ball rolling on some angles for the second season. The triple threat helps set up more Dysfunctional Tag Team (which LU does MUCH better than WWE) stuff from Son of Havoc, Ivalisse, and Angelico. The main event was padding some time before setting up a number of potential angles involving Pentagon Jr, Muertes, and Prince Puma.
I, for one, hope something involving Vampiro and Pentagon Jr based of that SUPER awesome opening segment with Vampiro in the mental hospital.
Probably the case. They were cutting to shots of Vampiro staring down Pentagon as he attacked Mil. Then there was the whole "stay away from the things that incite violence within you" told in the beginning.
Rock got booed last year though.
Let Roman do his own thing instead of using Dwayne as a crutch, if the LON and Vince interferes just let Rock do the save but no need to have him shill his cousin.
Yeah, and Striker specifically mentioned that Pentagon was being mentored by Vampiro.
Maybe they'll use some of those TV Show segments to shed some light on how Vampiro went from full on Evil Pope at the end of Ultimate Lucha to passably sane mental outpatient with apparently no sustained contact with Pentagon Jr.
Of course, it could be, given his imaginations in the mental hospital, that he's 100% faking and is still pulling Pentagon's strings.
What I found funniest was that they ask Vampiro if he has someone who can pick him up with they discharge him, and it turns out to be Matt Striker. Picking him up in the middle of the desert, which is apparently where the mental hospital with no parking lot was located. And after Striker drove up to pick up Vampiro, he put a sheet over the car he drove so that Vampiro could pull it away all slow motion and cool like.
It's like in the creative meeting for that segment, someone said "What's the most swag, nonsensical bullshit we can cram into 20 seconds?"

#1 promotion on this continent is taking over. You can't stop it. It's already happening
So I have a question. I've returned to wrestling after years of not watching it and slowly remembering why I got into it in the first place.
I hear nothing but shit talkers for RR and he even got booed at Royal Rumble, but he didn't get the same kind of reaction on Raw. Why is this? Do people love him or hate him?
And if nobody likes him from being oversold why is he still headlining?
PPVs are populated by smart fans who understand how artificial his push is. Typical Raws aren't.
He continues to be pushed because we live in Vince's world and he'll do whatever he wants.
I see. I'm not trying to put nobody down but how does that work? They're smart fans but they don't necessarily watch or go to the raw shows and stuff? I mean, if we look at it, if more people were vocal about their distaste for RR you would think something would be done about it by now.
I guess looking at it though, most media works the same way. You can shit talk it all you want but as long as it's turning a profit it can't really be helped in the long run no matter what you do.
I have no idea about WWE's finances, but they won't be good into perpetuity if RAW ratings continue to fail.
With the Network making PPV buys largely irrelevant, WWE is going to live and die by how many people watch RAW (and to a lesser extent, Smack!Down). The more people watch RAW the more advertising revenue they get, AND the more likely subscriptions to the Network they get. If people continue to tune out, the opposite happens.
No matter what, this company can't continue to succeed off the reputation and name recognition it built itself 15+ years ago forever. The bad news is, they have zero new ideas, and their favorite thing to do appears to be jerking themselves off and telling us how fucking awesome they were over a decade ago.
Well thanks for having this discussion with me. I had no idea that Raw's ratings were even that bad.
Even then, is that really that bad too? I mean, you would think with the way the crowd is in there they at least make money from getting butts in seats.
Either way, it sounds like I chose a bad time to get back into wrestling. I was reading about "The Shield" and it seemed like a pretty cool concept. Plus, I like the idea of dudes running around pulling off moves in uniform.
You can always go back and watch older content anon. WWE will get better again. It always cycles. That being said, the current product should peak pretty soon, considering we're heading to Wrestlemania.
