Which people do you think are genetically the best grapplers? Call it shit posting all you want, but there definitely does seem to be an over representation of certain groups of people in the grappling arts than others. My vote goes to anyone from the Caucasus (Chechens, Dagestanis, Ingush, Armenians, Georgians, etc). Russians, Turkish, Mongols and Iranians are far far seconds too. Who do you think and why? Supply video evidence.

Culture. In Europe, kids play soccer. In America, they play baseball. In all the regions you mention, kids wrestle. Couple that with their tough-as-nails attitude which sees backing down before you drop dead as something for utter wimps, and the only possible outcome is a large group of excellent wrestlers.

Good explanation. But I wouldnt say that is 100 percent true. There are some more soft countries that produce amazing wrestlers too. Germany, Korea, Japan, US, UK, India etc. So I wonder if maybe it has to do with the people than their culture

Every country has great wrestlers but on a bulk scale, dirty-europe tends to have better wrestlers than korea.

I wonder why some dirty european countries tend to produce more boxers than wrestlers. Could it be down to just "culture"?
