It's essetially a mix of stunts and dance and I think it has a little more purpose than sports like football and baseball on a professional level. but then again, those just aren't my thing, and wrestling just isn't some other people's thing. It isn't "Real" but you're supposed to watch as if it is for the best experience.

It takes years of training to properly move around in the ring (going off ropes and all), work the crowd and take those moves without breaking your neck. That's why it takes wrestling school, gear (like kneepads and particular boots) and good cardio.

I think than the magic of wrestling is pretty similar to the circus. You see the guys in the circus doing dangerous tricks and you know than they'll be fine but you forget it when they do the major spot... I an wrestling match you know when this start than is "fake" and you get focus in the technique of the moves and that stuff, but, when the match gets intense and good at some point you forget it, just because the good work of the performers, and then is qhen the magic appears and you are a kid again, just like the circus.
